Every winter my lips suffer. I think partly it's some lipsticks too (Clinique with the primer seems an issue).

So far, I've tried Burts Bees (Honey), Ren, L'Occitaine, Nuxe, Lanowhatever it's called - and my lips are still dry and seem worse after using some of the above- they sting a bit after application.

I don't care if it costs £1 or £15 but I need help!

I want something I can buy online please (J Lewis) or supermarket, ideally. tinted would be good too.

Have you tried Lush Lip Service? It’s a strange consistency - you have to sort of scrape it out with the back of your nail or keep it warm in your pocket - but honestly one of the best I’ve ever tried. I was going to recommend Nuxe but I see you’ve tried that.

www.johnlewis.com/ultrasun-spf-30-ultralip-balm-4-8ml/p1413306 Not tinted but after wasting £££ over the years, this is the only one I'll use. Great for winter and summer.

LovelyLips · 06/01/2021 17:36

No I've not.

Nuxe is the honey one in a lipstick shape. Not a pot.

Clarins lip oil, the honey one... it will change your life

EskSmith · 06/01/2021 17:38

Lanolips or lanolin nipple balm for the same effect but cheaper.

Gunpowder · 06/01/2021 17:38

There’s a Nadine Baggot video where she talks about lip balm which you should watch! It comes down to the fact that most lip balm makes your lips worse. I think she recommends a La Roche Posay one that is more of a cream than a balm as the best.

Coldwinterahead1 · 06/01/2021 17:39

8 hour cream x

RealisticSketch · 06/01/2021 17:39

Palmer's cocoa butter lip balm. Available in many places, including supermarkets, not sticky, fast relief, lasts well in the stick and on the lips. Best ever and I've sampled many.

Gunpowder · 06/01/2021 17:39

Nadine Baggot on lip balm

ArtfulScreamer · 06/01/2021 17:40

Elizabeth Arden 8hr balm is my go to for lips I have tubes of the stuff everywhere.

PutYourBackIntoit · 06/01/2021 17:40

The nipple protector in the purple tube. Watched a video from a makeup artist who specialises in natural looks the other day and this was her favourite.

EmmaJR1 · 06/01/2021 17:40

Okeefes lip rescue! Life saver !

minipie · 06/01/2021 17:41

The one by O’Keeffes is recommended over and over again on here, and was also recommended by my dermatologist when I was on Roaccutane which gives horrendous dry lips. I never tried it but if you do a search you will see all the glowing reviews. I think it’s in an orange tube?

Inthelab · 06/01/2021 17:41

Elizabeth Arden vote from me too.

minipie · 06/01/2021 17:42

Ps I have tried Eight Hour Cream and Lansinoh nipple cream and they are ok but nothing miraculous.

Blistex Intensive Moisturiser is the best I have tried.

Myshinynewname2021 · 06/01/2021 17:43

Found on this very forum an actual miracle. My lips are fine now and it worked straight away. Okeefes lip rescue - overnight balm in a pot. About a fiver. I only use it at night because I don't really need it more often and over using lip balms makes your lips dry.

Unbelievably good snd I've tried them all included Ardens 8 hour & Dr Lipp.

EskSmith · 06/01/2021 17:43

Sorry missed your lano whatever reference. DD who struggles like you uses lanolin at night and the luxe pot in the daytime, it's the only thing that sorts oherwise dreadful chapping on and around her lips.

Myshinynewname2021 · 06/01/2021 17:45

I will say Elizabeth Arden and dr lipp are the two runners up. Good but not amazing. Ditto lanolips. I've also used homeoplasmine and several other french ones. But okeefes was just so much better.

ladymalfoy45 · 06/01/2021 17:46

Nuxe Reve de Miel. The best ever. You can get a stick or a pot.
I’d go door to door selling this it’s that good.
Uriage is also good but not as brill as Nuxe.
I get mine from Escentual and they’ve got 1/3 off French Pharmacy which is where I get mine. I’m stocking up.

Groundhogdayzz · 06/01/2021 17:46

Glossier lip balm works well, contains lanolin as those described already.

WonderfulWinde · 06/01/2021 17:49

I'm loving Molton Brown lip balm this year.

TottiePlantagenet · 06/01/2021 17:49

Nuxe in the pot. Not their stick, it's nowhere near as good as the stuff in the pot.

My 2nd favourite is LRP, not as rich as the pot Nuxe but the best stick balm I've used.

Snackz · 06/01/2021 17:54

O Keefes Grin

mamaduckbone · 06/01/2021 17:55

Carmex in a pot - it only costs a couple of pounds, smells good and works.

whiskeyfoxtrotcharlie · 06/01/2021 18:00

Nuxe in the pot. The stick was meh. And yes the LRP is probably my runner up too. Carmex makes my lips drier. Never heard of O'Keefe's - must look it up. Eve Lom Kiss Mix is very good too and has a glossy finish.
