Every winter my lips suffer. I think partly it's some lipsticks too (Clinique with the primer seems an issue).

So far, I've tried Burts Bees (Honey), Ren, L'Occitaine, Nuxe, Lanowhatever it's called - and my lips are still dry and seem worse after using some of the above- they sting a bit after application.

I don't care if it costs £1 or £15 but I need help!

I want something I can buy online please (J Lewis) or supermarket, ideally. tinted would be good too.

Bepanthem

Another one for o’keeffes.

I had lips one winter that looked like they’d been grated.

That sorted them right out.

At their worst I put it on twice a day but a swipe every other day kept them feeling good.

Carmex works best for me. A thick layer before bed, and I don't often have to use it during the day. With other lip salves I was constantly applying them.

Ginevere · 06/01/2021 18:11

I’ve tried tons, including the crème de la mer, and the best one is Carmex IMO

AnneShirleysNewDress · 06/01/2021 18:11

Carmex every time but the one in the pot not the tube.

Lucas Papaw Ointment 15g Tube... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IKFLACY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

By far the best. Only this one or if you have someone in Australia or NZ that can send it to you. It’s saved my lips for a few years now.

Aveeno hand cream works like a dream on dry lips!

Lily193 · 06/01/2021 18:20

O'Keefes lip rescue is only average at best for me. My all time favourite is Dr Lipp.

Gardenermumtobe · 06/01/2021 18:23

I second @RealisticSketch Palmer's cocoa butter lip balm is the best I've ever tried

OrinocoGlow · 06/01/2021 18:29

I've tried so many and the best I've found is Alpha-H Liquid Gold Rose Perfect and Plump which I bought from QVC so you can return it for a refund if you don't like it. I use it twice a day, it's really good.

ArosAdraDrosDolig · 06/01/2021 18:31

Nipple balm. Every time.

BangingOn · 06/01/2021 18:34

Laneige Lip Sleeping mask is the best I have ever found. I use it overnight and occasionally during the day if my lips are really dry.

NeedCoffeeToSurvive · 06/01/2021 18:35

Carmex, available in most supermarkets and only cost a couple of pounds.

TheHobbitMum · 06/01/2021 18:35

O keefes everytime

stillfeelingmad · 06/01/2021 18:42

I use one from lush called the ultra balm, it's
Amazing, feels like instant relief and a lot lasts forever, plus not tested on animals which I like Smile

Tanaqui · 06/01/2021 18:42

Nuxe in the pot was dreadful on me, think it is quite a personal thing. Blisteze in the tube is great to heal any cracks, then I like Carmex, Elizabeth arden lip salve stick, clarins lip comfort oil or wild rose salve in a little pink tin from boots.

Tumilnaughts · 06/01/2021 18:42

EOS there's a ton of different flavours but they're made from Shea butter which is so nice. My favourites are tropical or lavender (weirdly tastes like biscuits. Kinda pricey at about £6 a thingy of it but totally worth it.

petalsandstars · 06/01/2021 18:47

Too faced hangover pillow balm is the best thing I’ve found. It’s a bit tingly initially but is an amazing lip treatment.

Orf1abc · 06/01/2021 18:48

O'Keefes, the cooling relief one makes for an excellent primer too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/01/2021 18:49

Lasinoh, got me through roaccutane and I had dry lips to start with.

Jetatyeovilaerodrome · 06/01/2021 18:49

I find lip balms make my lips worse as well actually. I now just use Weleda Skin Food all over my face including my lips in the morning and that seems to do the trick. I also use Hada Labo hyaluronic acid and that goes onto my lips before the skin food, so I don't know if that helps as well, but they do seem better now?

NewMumma1819 · 06/01/2021 18:55

Blistex intensive Moisturiser, I was recommended it by my dermatologist when on medication that made my lips crack, peel and bleed. She said cheap stuff can generally be just as good as expensive and honestly for under £3 it's amazing! I have so many tubes everywhere!

Eternia · 06/01/2021 19:01

8hr cream for me

chestnutmares · 06/01/2021 19:53

Original Carmex in a pot - it's the best.
