New thread to continue discussion of any and all beauty advent calendars. As before please don’t post details of content before 7am on the relevant morning.

Only 3 days left to go . But we can continue to discuss products used, and those doing Jadvent please continue posting updates.

Amazon is lip stain and gloss (by Find, not a brand I know). That’s two lipsticks in this calendar so far, which feels a bit pointless when I’m wearing a mask so much.

Ooh! Today is a belter. Sunday Riley Good Genes glycolic acid treatment AND A+ high dose Retinoid serum, 5ml of each.

I found this with Birchbox last year - the overall mix was varied but as well as some good items I would use, there was one really nice skincare item that I got to try and otherwise probably wouldn't have done. I got the calendar on sale the first time, but paid full price this year, and probably would again.

Hello everyone I have been looking for this thread!

I enjoyed LF in December. I saved H&B for January but I forgot about it until Monday or Tuesday this week! I opened a few doors then forgot about it again and then decided to open all the doors on Friday. I won't spoil and haven't RTFT yet but I'm really pleased with it.

I think the ethique bars are great and I'd be tempted to buy some from them.

The bath milk smells gorgeous.

Not sure about the shower bomb but I love a bath bomb so will give it a go!

I'll give the toothpaste and lip balm a go but not excited.

I quite like the little wooden mirror!

Yesterday’s H&B treat was a bottle of Whamisa toner (which resulted in me humming Wham Rap all day). Today is a twofer of solid shampoo and conditioner from Ethique. I quite like the cleansing bar from them so am prepared to give these a shot but they are a bit of a pain to store.

I was really pleased with the shampoo and conditioning bar and I love that we got both in one door. I tried them yesterday and my curly hair seems moisturised and shiny. I might buy some of these but I am curious how long these bars will last and how much more expensive these would be than my usual shampoo.

Urban Veda Night Cream today - which can join the 3 or 4 already waiting to be used on my bedside table. Calendars seem to have been night cream-heavy this/last Christmas.

Philosophy cleanser in Amazon today. Quite pleased with that and will definitely give it a go.

No. The bloody extortionate Selfridges one. There's been some lovely stuff interspersed with horrors like Nars min orgasm and Eve Lom. At least the fecking black eyeliner was Huda

@AliceinBunniland I had the same experience with the ethique mini shampoo and conditioners in the calendar - used them and found they really suited my hair. I bought a couple of full size bars and have been thrilled with them. In terms of how they last, I have been using for 3 weeks now and the block seems the same size as when I opened it! I think it will last ages. I keep them in a soap dish

@Batinahat I've been interested in shampoo bars for years and haven't tried them. Did you buy the same ones that came in the calendar? There were a few different shampoos and on the site. I keep mine (face bar and shampoo and conditioner) in a large soap dish too. I am tempted to buy them with the discount code...

@AliceinBunniland I bought full size of the same shampoo and conditioner that came in my calendar (grapefruity shampoo and lime conditioner) then I bought 2 new shampoos as well - the mint one which I've been using and is brilliant on my hair and I also got the spiced one that is volumising but not tried that yet (no more soap dish space!) At some point I am going to get the purple ones as I usually use a purple shampoo ever couple of weeks as I have natural grey hair and it really makes it pop :) I bought the bars after Christmas when there was some kind of extra sale on giving really good deal. I've used shampoo bars before and not got on as well with them as I did with these. My hair is fine and dry at the ends and always looks kind of fluffy and shit if I don't blow-dry. The biggest difference for me with the Ethique bars is that if I don't blow dry my hair is much less fluffy and is passable. HUGE improvement!

@Batinahat The two in the calendar were nice. I was going to see if they have one more suitable for dry hair (I have long curly hair so it needs moisture otherwise can look dry and frizzy!) but these did a good job. Good you got a deal as I think the calendar code is just 15% off but I don't mind spending a bit as they're nice products and I like that they're eco friendly due to there being no plastic etc.

I'm really pleased with the calendar actually. I'd maybe go for it again next year.

Yesterday was a mini Anastasia mascara.

Escentric Molecules 01 30ml bottle today. I have 04 already and that's pleasant enough. Will keep it's for my mums birthday. I'm building up quite a stash of stocking fillers
