New thread to continue discussion of any and all beauty advent calendars. As before please don’t post details of content before 7am on the relevant morning.

Only 3 days left to go Sad. But we can continue to discuss products used, and those doing Jadvent please continue posting updates.

Aaargh! Mini Nars blusherAngry

Butterymuffin · 12/01/2021 19:05

I got that in LF @DrRamsesEmerson and it looks nice but I haven't tried mine yet.

Yesterday for me was a travel size clear Dr. Pawpaw balm. Meh. Today's is a Nuxe Nuxcellence detoxifying and youth revealing anti ageing cream 15ml. Can certainly use that! I will wait eagerly for my youth to be revealed.

DrRamsesEmerson · 13/01/2021 12:02

Weird "eye cream for the face" in Amazon today! Personally I don't have eyes anywhere else...

Maybe it’s one of those badly-translated-from-the-original-Chinese things?

I got a towelling headband (with velcro, which doesn’t seem like a particularly good idea?) and a face mask.

mammmamia · 13/01/2021 14:43

Lots of functional things in Occitane so far - kids of mini hand creams... which I use so happy with that
Conditioner today. Tiny bottles though!

Babysharkdoodoodood · 13/01/2021 17:38

Lovely little bottle of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge Smells divine.

ChannelLightVessel · 13/01/2021 17:40

Talisin, I’m afraid the face mask has probably wandered in from 22.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 13/01/2021 17:40

And it's the edp as well Smile

I did wonder.

True (or possibly Trow) Rosehip and Rosemary Facial oil.

DrRamsesEmerson · 14/01/2021 08:43

ELF lipstick, in a daytime sort of shade (fairly brown). I’m not really wearing lipsticks at the moment because of masks, but I expect I’ll use it some day.

I've discovered that some of the hundreds of black eyeliners from M and S previous calendars are actually quite good quality. I've got quite hooded eye lids and really need to be careful with what pencils/mascaras I use as no matter how careful I am I generally find my upper (and often lower) lids are smudged in half an hour ... a very ageing look!

I was bored a few weeks ago and started experimenting with them and li and behold the M and S ones, while generally black so you need to take care of as it can be harsh looking, don't smudge. The Diego Della Palma one I've got on now is great. I'm wearing a Boots Natural Collection cheapie mascara and no smudging! I'm very chuffed as I hadn't realised how knackered it makes you look when it does.

Anyway - I digress Grin

I'm doing Lumene for Jadvent and an a wee bit bored of all the moisturisers!

While it's a lovely treat I don't think it feels the same as doing it before Christmas. I think if I have two again next year (is that even a question?!) I'll have a morning and then evening one Grin

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 14/01/2021 10:39

Meant to say .., what I'm looking forward to doing after everything is opened, is getting my stash all out and sorting through. I'm sad but I always find this activity soothing!

Then I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO START USEING STUFF! I shall not hoard Grin

Talisin · 15/01/2021 07:16

Todays treat: VitaSkin Vitamin C Lifting Eye Cream. This one I’m looking forward to, wearing masks all the time is really drying around the eyes I’ve found so eye creams are most welcome.

DrRamsesEmerson · 15/01/2021 07:31

Blending sponge in Amazon. Meh. (I am a slattern, I mostly use fingers for make-up because I cannot be bothered with washing and drying sponges.)

Talisin · 16/01/2021 07:21

Ah, it’s the day of the plastic earbud thingy...

DrRamsesEmerson · 16/01/2021 09:28

Garnier eye mask in Amazon today- will probably give that a go.

bigdecisionstomake · 16/01/2021 09:57

Roccabox has an Avant Hyaluronic & Vitamin C moisturiser. Finally some skincare which I'm really pleased about although only a 10ml sample size. Going to start making a concerted effort to use up some of the samples/small sizes I've had from various beauty boxes/calendars as my skincare stash is starting to get a bit cluttered looking.

I tend to rotate which products I use each day but I'm wondering if actually it would be better to pick one and use it consistently for a week or so until it's used up and that way I can also see if it makes any difference to my skin and if it's a possible future repurchase.

Butterymuffin · 16/01/2021 12:01

Have fallen behind in posting. Today's is a Real Her bronze eyeliner. Not sure about this as am not an eyeliner wearer, but maybe it could be a lockdown experiment..

Yesterday was Eyebrow Queen brow serum. Encourages brow growth and prevents hair loss. It can be used on lashes too, though the instructions also say avoid getting it in your eyes. I think I'll stick to using it on brows.

Day before was two Beauty Pro masks, a brightening collagen and vitamin C face mask and a hand therapy collagen infused set of gloves, with removable fingertips. Really pleased with these and will use the gloves tonight, possibly MNing while they work once I've removed the fingertips Smile

And the day before that, Evolve Organic Beauty daily renew facial cream. Don't know the brand but it's a nice looking decent sized jar.

DrRamsesEmerson · 16/01/2021 13:36

I'm experimenting with a glittery green eyeliner at the moment. (Not an advent calendar one, I just bought it on a whim before Christmas.) I like it much better than I expected to, actually!

DrRamsesEmerson · 16/01/2021 14:05

I meant to add, so maybe the bronze one is worth a go?

FredaFox · 16/01/2021 18:28

I’m doing feel unique, missed a few things but so far had black eyeliner obvs (nars), fenkkai shampoo, Charlotte tilbury magic serum, Elemis rose cleansing balm, 2 x face masks, beauty blender, urban apothecary candle, Grown alchemist exfoliant, Elizabeth Arden capsules, Neom hand cream, rest is mixed up with my LF goodies from December
So har I’m thinking this was better than feel unique

Babysharkdoodoodood · 16/01/2021 22:26

Selfridges is a bit meh atm

Hair By Sam McKnight Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist
111Skin Celestial Black Diamond Eye Mask
MAC Prep & Prime Fix

Stupid eye masks always plop off unless you put your head back. Never bother with texturisers for my hair. Just feels like I need to wash it. And another primer!

bigdecisionstomake · 17/01/2021 09:07

A meh day from Roccabox today - a bright pink afterspa 'amazing makeup remover'. It's basically a small (15cm x 15cm) pink fleecy square which says it will remove all your make up with just water.

That's a bold claim, I can't see it working myself, but will give it a go.

But I like my lovely cleansing balms and the experience wouldn't be the same without them so although it would be a cheap option if it worked I don't think it's going to be one for me!

bigdecisionstomake · 17/01/2021 09:09

@FredaFox The Feel Unique calendar sounds really good - definitely better value so far than my Roccabox one!
