General beauty advent calendar discussion thread 2

New thread to continue discussion of any and all beauty advent calendars. As before please don’t post details of content before 7am on the relevant morning.

Only 3 days left to go . But we can continue to discuss products used, and those doing Jadvent please continue posting updates.

I was really happy with the Look Fantastic and the Holland & Barrett (and I'm not short of beauty products)

I was a bit dubious about the colour of the brow pencil but it seems okay for me

Great, thanks folks. I think I'll cross my fingers for M & S, otherwise H & B or L'Occitane.

A Citrus and Coffee face scrub from Upper Circle Beauty which looks rather nice for fauxChristmas day! I shall be using that a bit later.

I now have the White Stuff calendar to see me through till the end of Jan with double gifts every day as it’s a 12 day one (not quite ready to let go of Christmas yet).

I've got the Grazia 12-day one - I had the first 6 at the end of December, saved the second 6 for the end of this month! Good Genes glycolic exfoliating toner today.

Now I'm not sure whether I got this product in the Holland and Barret calendar or the Feel Unique GWP but the E Cooking Fragrance Free Mousture Boost serum which I started using in New Year's Day, once a day, is already empty

Granted it's a 10ml bottle but surely I should have got a full month use?! It retails at £45 for 20ml, so pretty steep.

Or am I being tight?!

So White Stuff days 1&2 are respectively two heart shaped bath fizzies in lemon and calendula and a pot of lavender Sleep Gel. No instructions as to what exactly you are supposed to do with the gel though?

Hair mask in Grazia (full size tube). Think I might sell that on EBay, I’ve got hair masks coming out of my ears after this round of advent calendars and I don’t really use them.

White Stuff - little baggie of Rose bath salts and bottle of Bergamot & Jasmine foam bath which I think I may try tonight.

Yesterday I tried the face scrub from the last day of the H&B calendar - it’s very scrubby indeed so very hesitant application needed! It’s also very heavy-oily and I needed a soak in the bath to get rid of it all. My skin did feel lovely after though but I wouldn’t want to use it that often.

I’ve been using it as a body scrub - it’s just too much for the face. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Nothing in Grazia yesterday, I forgot that I’d pillaged the calendar for stuff I wouldn’t use to sell on EBay. Today’s is an Oskia cleansing gel.
