Are there any perfumes you absolutely hate?

Reason for asking, I ordered blind ( stupid I know) a Liz Earle perfume. Even wanting to try them, no chance of testing at the moment, so picked one that loads of reviews said was gorgeous, favourite perfume, ever, signature scent, always getting stopped & asked what it was etc. The description sounded ok. It came & I hate it, it actually makes me feel sick when I smell it, couldn’t wait to scrub it off. It’s so persistent though!

Alien and Angel for me too. Also can’t stand Fantasy.

But I love the Chanel and Clinique Aromatics ones.

Oh yes, and Angel!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Oh and I once had an Annick Goutal one that I was undecided on at first spritz, but I could sense people squirming in disgust when I wore it on public transport . It kind of mellowed through the day into base notes of sweaty fanny 🤢 (and not in a sexy Westwood boudoir way)

I like a heavy perfume that makes you go eeewww initially then settles into a warm scent that lasts all day.

Yes, a Marc Jacobs one, not sure of the name but it's been around for a long time. It's the only perfume I really hate

Clinique Aromatics ..awful and migrane inducing. Always hated it

Youth dew is a really strange one. I loved the story behind youth dew, and the tester in the shop was incredible... something like oriental spices and hints of Christmas pudding. Kind of festive and luxurious. But good gracious when I got it home! Disgusting. Powdery florally hideousness. Felt totally duped . It’s long lasting though.
You can not get rid of that smell once it’s on you 🤢

Jo Malone Red Roses - it made me feel sick. I returned it and they refunded me without any problem.

Hypnose by lancome. To be fair I got it for Christmas from DH and promptly fell pregnant so my morning sickness played out yo that scent. I can't bear any lancome perfumes now because they all have that slightly rotten garbage note underneath. But anytime I smell Hypnose I instantly feel nauseous.

@ goldielockdown2 that’s disappointing about the Shalimar but I have to tell you for me the modern formulation has changed beyond recognition. The original one had a hint of cola cubes and neroli about it. If you ever get chance , try a vintage bottle, or an old sample

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir stinks of cloves on me.
Whatever Soap and Glory put in their products. I worked in an FE college and so many of the female students stank of it.
