Are there any perfumes you absolutely hate?

Reason for asking, I ordered blind ( stupid I know) a Liz Earle perfume. Even wanting to try them, no chance of testing at the moment, so picked one that loads of reviews said was gorgeous, favourite perfume, ever, signature scent, always getting stopped & asked what it was etc. The description sounded ok. It came & I hate it, it actually makes me feel sick when I smell it, couldn’t wait to scrub it off. It’s so persistent though!

There is one that makes me feel sick to my stomach. I have no idea what it is though, but it seems to be popular. Someone who sat behind me at work wore it quite frequently, so thank god for working from home!

@SunsetBeetch i bet it's Alien. Everyone seems to be wearing it and it's just so vile. So strong and over powering, I honestly just can't understand how anyone could think it smells nice 🤮

I'd say it's Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir.

Even the Aldi candle dupe of it is now lingering long on the shelves. Hopefully a sign its popularity has waned.
it's a horrible, strong scent.

Angel. It gives me a headache. In the olden days it was Poison.

Angel and Alien have so many mentions, must have a sniff of those! Opium and Poison give me an immediate headache, can't bear to be near anyone wearing either of them.

I agree about Poison, absolutely vile, but Pure/midnight/hypnotic Poison are gorgeous.

I love heavy scents in the winter. Patchouli, ylang-ylang, Musk, Amber.

I'm glad Jicky hasn't been mentioned, it's one of my favourites, but some say it has a hint of farmyard about it!

I suppose it depends which tier you're in. I'm feeling like I'll never be allowed out ever again.

Must admit, I really want to smell Alien and Angel now as well. Love heavy, sweet perfumes.

Anais Anais, Beautiful and poison. I can’t bear them

Vera Wang Princess, those DKNY delicious ones, and I distinctly remember being given a gift of an Agent Provocateur perfume that really did smell like fly spray.

That said; I wear Chanel No 5 and have done since I was 16 which based on the majority of opinions on this thread makes me public enemy number!

Glad others say Ghost, as in real life people look at me funny when I say the smell literally makes my stomach turn!

Have never found any Chanel offensive, I like all of them. No 19 is my favourite.

Body Shop White Musk - cannot abide this , I cannot put into words how awaful this is . Not stale but not nice at all.

Years ago I had LE 15 and it was gorgeous ( like Nirvana Impulse that always reminded me of nights out in the 80s)
I bought a bottle a couple of years ago , it smelled like one of those rubber toy dolls ( little squidgey childs toy not a sex toy rubber doll. But I;ve never smiffed one so who knows )
