Are there any perfumes you absolutely hate?

Reason for asking, I ordered blind ( stupid I know) a Liz Earle perfume. Even wanting to try them, no chance of testing at the moment, so picked one that loads of reviews said was gorgeous, favourite perfume, ever, signature scent, always getting stopped & asked what it was etc. The description sounded ok. It came & I hate it, it actually makes me feel sick when I smell it, couldn’t wait to scrub it off. It’s so persistent though!

Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden. Bought it on recommendation here. It smells way too strong and gave me terrible skin irritation.

Most Jo Malone, smells like airwick on me. Gucci Rush gives me migraine on the spot. Ditto Angel and Alien.
There’s an old lady perfume that kills me, Youth Dew. Thankfully haven’t smelled it for a long time.

I love some of the heavy ones mentioned here so I'm glad they work for me but I was very disappointed by Shalimar. Since it's a great classic I was hoping I would smell 'grown up' and sophisticated but it smells like old bedding mixed in with curry powder and a bit of cat wee on me :(

Angel & Poison ( although I cant believe anyone can possibly wear Poison anymore)

I think all those heavy fragrances like Opium were popular until CK1 came along.

Jo malone lime basil and mandarin smells like toilet cleaner to me

Eden & Joop for men in the red bottle. Vile -make me nauseous.

Chanel No. 5 smelt amazing on my Mum but doesn’t on me. Lots mentioned are older ‘classics’ so wonder if tastes have changed generally and they’ll come back ‘in’?

Another for angel and alien. People that buy them seem to bathe in it

Angel here too. Can't stand it. Also hate Jean Paul Gauthier.

It is astonishing people feel free to contaminate the air they and everyone round them must breathe. These are not people who would deliberately blow smoke over others.

They would not inflict their own choice of music at all times and in all situations and into the ears of all people near them.

They would not go unwashed for weeks so that people had no choice but to smell them. And yet they inflict the artificial smell of their personal choice onto people who are made sick by it, who are allergic to it, who are distressed by it.

Better to just use unscented soap and water. If you don't stink, you don't need to try to cover it up. (The same with a stench-filled house, better to clean it than to attempt to mask it)

Dior J'adore. Absolutely loath it. Cloying and smells of toilet cleaner.

Lancome la vie est belle- just too overpowering.
Coco mademoiselle- makes me feel sick.
Chanel No 5 - gross- so old smelling
Lancome magie noire- mil's marinade of choice- hate it when dc smell of it after her visits...
Issey miyake smells like wee to me.
I think it's any perfume with notes of patchouli that just makes me want to heave...

Another for Daisy, smells like BO to me!

All Calvin Klein perfumes smell of cat wee on me. I like some on other people, but they all smell the same (wee) on me unfortunately.

Givenchy Amarige- love it on other people though. On me, makes me nauseous so gave away an almost full large bottle

There's a certain synthetic smelling note in Angel and the original Jean Paul Gaultier which instantly makes me feel vile. The same thing happens with those air fresheners people have in plug sockets. It's super annoying because both perfumes have bottles that I think are beautiful but I can't be within 10 feet of the scent without a stabbing headache and nausea.
