Sorry, don't know where all my apostrophes went on that post... Confused

I love that dress @toastfiend. I’m an Anthro fan too, their pieces are just so easy to wear, and dress up or down. It nips you in at the waist beautifully.

Sickoffamilydrama · 19/02/2021 09:20

Don't think it makes you look broad @toastfiend

Didn't realise when I bought it that this dress is dry clean only and it's definitely dry clean as it's viscose which is annoying although apparently some people use a steam iron to freshen up dresses like this.

@toastfiend - Keep it, keep it, keep it!

StarlightLady · 19/02/2021 09:23

@Sickoffamilydrama - I have a viscose dress from John Lewis with a dry clean only label and it has been through the washing machine on a 30 degree gentle wash lots of times. It’s still as hoid as new.

Sooverthemill · 19/02/2021 09:24

@Greyhairwarmheart that's tough. I hope she recovers well.
@toastfiend great dress! Love it. And @Sickoffamilydrama have you had their new denim edit email this morning? Am listing over these

Nurse didn't come. She's community matron so often has to go to emergencies but she's DDs nurse because of her depth of experience so we like her a lot. She sometimes just gives a hug and turned up on New Year's Day once to give meds. She is a star and when she retires next year I truly do not know what we will do. At the moment all I really want is some kind of hope to give DD that her life won't always be like this. It's so tough on her having been confined to bed for 7 and a half years. It's not fair

Starting with a cardigan on but inevitably I will get too hot and take it off!

Cardigan: Sezane
Roll neck: Boden
Jeans: j crew cropped Demi boot
Shoes: kurt geiger

I’m going to be a dissenting voice and say that I’m unsure about the dress @toastfiend. I love the pattern, but I’m unsure about the neckline/arms. I don’t think it makes you look broad. But it does seem to swamp your upper half a bit.

Today’s jumper is sparkly (although it doesn’t show up as such in the photo). And I’ve reverted to jeans even though it isn’t the weekend - oops!

Jumper: Hush
Jeans: Jigsaw
Boots: Doc Martens

Thanks @StarlightLady this is one of the most expensive dresses I've bought (even though it was in the sale) I'd kick myself if I ruined it. Normally I test for colour fastness then put on a gentle wash. Even washed a black and white ball dress with no problems.

They look nice @Sooverthemill and like your cardigan and top today.
@OublietteBravo you've balanced out the jeans by wearing glitter so the casualness of the jeans is cancelled out 😉 I like you top as well it suits you.

littleloopylou · 19/02/2021 10:51

@toastfiend I agree with @OublietteBravo on the dress. I would say to follow your heart - it's cute, but the neckline is definitely a specific prim prairie style (have you seen the internet challenges regarding the Target dress? This is an American thing but it's amusing).

@Sooverthemill I really like your cardigan!

I'm wearing a Stitch Fix jumper, ancient H&M skirt, and DMs

Aaaah didn't change my name, and I accidentally posted the photo with my messy room. Double fail!

CoffeeAndCaramel · 19/02/2021 11:50

Some gorgeous cosy clothes on here this week! Sorry I went quiet for a few days!
Today I'm wearing:
T shirt : boohoo
Maternity pvc joggers: pretty little thing
Boots: dm

Have a fab weekend everyone x

MerlinsButler · 19/02/2021 13:14

Hi everyone.

@toastfiend I love that dress. I actually think it's the angle of the first photo that makes it look too voluminous / broad. In the second picture it looks much more in line with the bottom and shows your figure really well.

@Sooverthemill sorry the nurse didn't come. Hope you get some answers / hope soon. You look so put together as always. And always look so cozy and prepared for the weather.

@OublietteBravo love that sparkly top and jeans are great. It is dress down Friday - that's still a thing right?

@Sickoffamilydrama I wash my very expensive (for me) Whistles viscose dry clean only dresses on the hand wash cycle of my washing machine and never had a problem. I just make sure I dry them on hangers straight away. And saves ironing. It is a lovely dress. Such a cheerful / vibrant colour. Also love your dress from yesterday.

@dellacucina /@littleloopylou love your outfit and that is not a messy bedroom. Trust me.

MerlinsButler · 19/02/2021 13:16

Oops forgot today's pic. Dog walking again. So jeans - articles of society. Jumper. Mauvette / stitchfix. Dog - models own Wink

Feeling a bit down, and stuck at home with the lockdown blues, so put on some sparkly leggings to cheer myself up. Oh, I know says I, why not also put on my silver boots that I haven’t worn for ages.. hmmmmm, boyfriend has just said I look like I am channelling David Bowie from his Spiders from Mars phase! Don’t care, I feel better already, lol.
Leggings from Sweaty Betty. Boots from All Saints. V old tee shirt (which says Glamour Puss on the front - oh, the irony).

Sorry you’re feeling a bit down @Purplecatshopaholic, hope the boots help you feel a bit better. For what it’s worth there’s nowt wrong in channeling Bowie in my eyes!

Friday is my dress down day so comfy and casual today.

Top - Pure
Jeans - Topshop (Jamie)
Cardigan - FatFace

@Purplecatshopaholic I love David Bowie especially in his spider days! Saw him live in 1978. Fantastic

Purplecatshopaholic · 19/02/2021 19:53

Oh wow @Sooverthemill, that must have been awesome!

PalacePaper · 19/02/2021 21:17

Lots of lovely outfits, I've missed a few days so there are too many to mention. I particularly like seeing everyone's dresses, I think I'm a bit dress-obsessed!

Last day of half term and DH and I were both off work so we went on a long family walk. I was wearing sweaty Betty yoga pants and M&S sweatshirt, but had to change when we got home as I was covered in mud!

Sooverthemill · 20/02/2021 09:16

@PalacePaperhooe you had a good few days.

@Sickoffamilydrama it was! It was his 'heroes' tour and I was a student and paid £20 for a ticket via an advert in NME. Definitely a highlight for me
Nurse still didn't show up. DH had his vaccine. So the most vulnerable person in our household is the only one not vaccinated! Poor NHS.

It's windy still and yet warmish. Trying to inject a bit of colour!
Shirt: hush
Cardigan : sezane( bought cheap BNWT via Facebook)
Jeans: Levi 501 skinny via depop
Trainers: air and grace

J Crew top

It's nice and sunny here. I'm going to try to persuade my daughter to go out for a walk, but she basically just wants to play with her dollies inside all the time.

Thanks for the dress comments! Smile I'm still a bit torn. I tried it on again and from some angles I like it, then I look at it again and absolutely agree with @OublietteBravo and @dellacucina that it swamps my upper half. My DM was apparently eyeing up the same dress, though, so has said to keep it as she'll buy it off me if I decide I don't want it. It'll definitely suit her. She's much more slightly built than me, so gives me some time to decide/see if it does get worn. @dellacucina that Target dress meme is hilarious. I'd not seen it before! 😂

This was yesterday's outfit. Very low effort and not very stylish, I looked rather like a clown, but it was comfy. Today's isn't worth posting. DS and I have been playing in the woods so I'm wearing very muddy Under Armour leggings.
