@Purplecatshopaholic you forgot the picture! But sounds like you have cold weather too!
It's now really windy. So much that the door gets blown out of your hand when you open the back door. And we still have the snow though it's beginning to thaw
I'm not very creatively dressed, it's too cold for that.
Hoodie ( why have I never had a hoodie before?) : Baukjen
Joggers: hush
Slippers: fatface

Ooh happy Valentine's Day. If you celebrate it I hope you have a nice day

It is still cold and windy. But forecast to hear up overnight - apparently to the dizzy heights of 13C tomorrow. I’ll be a bit sad to go back to mud - it’s been quite nice having the ground frozen. Much less messy!

Jumper: Jigsaw
Trousers: Warehouse
Boots: Celtic & Co

Happy Valentines! I forgot about it but have also forgotten our wedding anniversary for the last two years, so I don't think it came as a complete surprise to poor dh. In my defence I am Dyslexic with a shit short-term memory!

I got my final items from Free People (a gillet type jacket with a hippy patchwork fabric). Dh said it looked awful when I showed him a pic and once it was on he refused to look at me because he knew he was going to laugh 😂. It did look dreadful so it has left the building and gone back to FP HQ.

Am wearing my so comfortable Wrangler chore coat with a Calvin Klein long sleeved top underneath for warmth and thick woolly tights. Smart/slob wear.

Sickoffamilydrama · 14/02/2021 17:11

No more talk of free people @MrsBobDylan it will remind that I need this dress which I don't but it's gorgeous 😍

@MrsBerthaRochester please post a pic, that outfit sounds amazing!

@Sickoffamilydrama you are very well put together for a woman in the move. I remember those boots for a previous post and I strongly thought then I needed a pair...

Re: Free People, I get so excited about their clothes! I am wanting a cord shirt they have at the moment but can't afford it. I am willing it to go in the sales because I need it, I really do.

littleloopylou · 14/02/2021 20:47

@Shannith not sure whether they still make the jeans/whether they are for sale here! They are from the US a few years ago. Here is a photo of the label.

I'm wearing another all Stitch Fix outfit.

Shannith · 14/02/2021 21:48

@littleloopylou thanks!

My ME&EM package was a bit hit and miss.

Their sizing is huge. The size 6 trainers were at least a size too big for me.

The jeans are supposed to be loose (obviously) but the 10 was baggy round the waist.

The silk joggers are...oh god they are lovely. They have spoiled me for any others. But I’ll have to sell DD.

The jeans are so nice, beautiful material but massive

The green top is underwhelming, though beautiful quality and the cream sweater is a nice shape.

Shannith · 14/02/2021 21:51

I’ll get the 5 in the trainers - they are super comfy and pretend not to look at the price of the joggers.

MerlinsButler · 15/02/2021 08:23

@Shannith love those trainers and those joggers look lovely.

@OublietteBravo nice try on passing on responsibility for Whistles spike. I firmly blame you.

Everyone looking good and cozy. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I was so excited that I was going somewhere (supermarket) yesterday I forgot to post my pic.

Jeans - articles of Society. T shirt and cardi - hush. And I had my mint velvet boots on.

Working today but no video calls so will probably end up in dog walking gear all day again.

OublietteBravo · 15/02/2021 09:01

I love the joggers @Shannith. Interesting to hear about the sizing - I’ve looked at ME&EM several times, but never actually clicked buy. Now certainly isn’t the time for me to start - we’re about to remodel/extend the house and DH is currently unemployed.

@MerlinsButler - Grin (perhaps I’ll quietly rotate my wardrobe and not wear Whistles for a couple of weeks until everyone has forgotten).

It’s warm enough for a shorter skirt. This one was my absolute favourite last winter, but I’ve barely worn it this season. I’m not really sure why.

Jumper: M&S
Skirt: Baukjen
Boots: Bertie

@Shannith @littleloopylou I have those jeans! But with a ragged hem. I can vouch for j crew being super comfortable fabulous jeans. I wish John Lewis still sold them
@shannith fab clothes from me and em. Have you looked at NRBY for joggers? Mine are lovely and I suspect not quite as expensive ( though not cheap)

It's HOT today, well 4 degrees. Thank the lord I may be able to to turn off the heating for a few hours. Today's job is to talk to GP to see if he can suggest anything that might at least ease DDs symptoms even if they have no bloody idea what is causing them.

Tee: H&M
Dungarees: fatface
Trainers: Stan smith
I have a cardigan but I have no intention of needing it!

@Shannith the joggers are lovely!

@OublietteBravo the skirt does look nice. It's funny how one can go in phases with clothing.

@Sooverthemill my current favourite jeans are another J Crew model, the High Rise Toothpick. Haven't worn them in a few weeks for whatever reason

Sooverthemill · 15/02/2021 10:27

@dellacucina are they skinny? I'd like to try a pair of those

dellacucina · 15/02/2021 11:57

Yes, they are super skinny, and the denim is lovely and soft. I think it is made sustainably in Italy or something

CoffeeAndCaramel · 15/02/2021 15:38

Looking fab everyone! @Sooverthemill great dungarees!

Today I'm wearing an ASOS shirt with SHEIN maternity leggings

Another vote for those joggers @Shannith

I'm trying to rock a boyfriend shirt today. I was aiming for a French tuck but wonder if it came off as a paunch?! Smile

Jeans: gap
Shirt: H&M
Cardigan: Boden
Belt: Whistles
Socks (for completeness): seasalt

In other news- also paunch-related- my belt punch arrived. I appear to be between sizes on belts. I'm no small (ever) so buy medium but I need an extra hole for something on the waist. Tomorrow I'll be practicing on a very old belt before I turn my attention to 2 nice belts. Wish me luck.

Incidentally the whistles belt in the picture will not be for the chop tomorrow- it's a recent purchase.i braved a small and apparently got away with it. For anything that sits on the waist at least. Yikes, I'm quite new to the thread and this is a very long rambling post...

Nice skirt @OublietteBravo

Thanks @MrsBobDylan my clothes will be packed last. We actually haven't got a moving date yet but our buyers want the beginning of March but their solicitor is the one building everything up.

Silk joggers sound and look nice @Shannith I'm tempted by a nice pair I haven't ever bought a pair of joggers I inherited an old pair of Primark one which isn't quite the same.

Nice dungarees @Sooverthemill hope you found something to help DD.

So I've declared to myself that this week is Dress Week I am going to wear one everyday this week. Not sure what next week will be.

Dress H&M

@CoffeeAndCaramel I like those leggings. I have a weakness for tartan trousers...

MoiCnoi · 15/02/2021 20:51

@Sickoffamilydrama Happy Dress Week!

Great start with the bold colour. (Love the orange with your dark hair)

@OublietteBravo exciting! We are doing a building project in May and I'm trying to suspend the clothes purchases too...

Justbetweenus · 15/02/2021 21:02

I love these threads, your advice and ideas, and how nice and positive you all are. I’ve decided to stop buying black clothes and wear more colour (I’m 50) and to make more effort to be camera-ready for work and less clothes-off-the-floordrobe about it all! Can I please join in?

dellacucina · 15/02/2021 21:17

@MoiCnoi absolutely no paunch at all!

When I try the French tuck (infrequently, as I'm not sure I'm cool enough), I usually find that it works with higher waisted jeans as the part that is tucked in then accentuates the natural waist and eliminates the risk that the front of the shirt develops any odd bulges. ( But Again, I don't think it looks paunchy at all)

MoiCnoi · 16/02/2021 07:31

Thanks @dellacucina and good point.

Anything below the waist gives potential for billowing...

Smile I'm going to Google search French tuck to see how it's done
