@Justbetweenus yes of course you can! I think we are a friendly bunch

It's verging on tropical here ( well, 8 degrees) and we didn't have the heating on all night. Thank goodness. Sadly GP had no new ideas. He's going to repeat all her blood tests in 3 weeks. And take it from there. It's tough at the moment and both DD and I are struggling with this increase in, and whole new, symptoms. But, it's going to be spring soon.

@MoiCnoi is a good basic video showing you how you can tuck. I often use a hair tie for bulkier stuff btw

OublietteBravo · 16/02/2021 09:09

@Sooverthemill - I really love those dungarees on you.

@MoiCnoi - definitely no paunch. I also struggle with tucking things in. I’ve come to the conclusion that it only looks odd to me and that I’m overthinking the whole thing!

@Justbetweenus - welcome! We’d love to see what you’re wearing. I find that posting really helps me to make an effort. And I like having a photographic record of all my outfits to flick through when I’m feeling uninspired.

@toastfiend - how are you getting on with your DH away?

OublietteBravo · 16/02/2021 09:11

Ooops. I completely forgot to mention my outfit! Blush

Shirt: Boden
Belt: Mint Velvet
Jeans: Gap
Boots: Doc Martens

New slippers arrived!!! They are from a British manufacturer who use off cuts from sheepskin Rolls Royce mats. I have never been in a Rolls but now I'm imagining they are furry and plush 😂

I have warned Bunny the dog he is not to eat these. He assures me will will respect the slippers...

It’s nice to have a reason to make an effort (that’s you all)!

Jumper: BA&SH
Cords: French Connection (first thing I’ve bought from there for ages. All that FCUK stuff really put me off - 15 years ago probably!)

Sooverthemill · 16/02/2021 10:43

@Justbetweenus what's the sizing like on the FC cords? I've been very tempted by those and seeing them on you am more so. I'm only 5'1 will they still be cropped?

Justbetweenus · 16/02/2021 11:32

@Sooverthemill - I am a regular UK size 12 and these are 12s. I’d say they are generous (def need the belt) so certainly no need to size up. I tried the 10s which fitted but kind of lost the barrel leg look which I really like. I’m 5’7” and they end about 3” above my ankle bone. You could turn them up once if you needed, and they’d still look good I think (quite a deep hem so you’d still see the right side of the fabric IYSWIM!)

Iseeyoulookingatme · 16/02/2021 11:41

I hope you don't mind me joining your thread, I've been a long term lurker and I've been meaning to join for ages but haven't got round to it. I buy most of my clothes second hand and would say 90% of my wardrobe is second hand or vintage. I also try and buy clothes which are ethically made or handmade if I'm buying new although I know that this is not always possible anyway today I'm wearing:
Jumper: Next (second hand from ebay)
Jeans: New look (second hand from ebay again)
Head band from tescos
Belt I think is from primark but not sure.
Also I need a haircut as my hair is getting to long for me.

Ooo. I'm liking all the outfits today. Also- everyone's gone for a similar palate!

Thanks @OublietteBravo and @sooverthemill for support on the tuckSmile

Highly appropriate name @Iseeyoulookingatme! And I'm impressed by your commitment to buying second hand.

@Justbetweenus I really like your outfit

My outfit

Jeans: gap
Jumper: seasalt
Boots: Barbour new (but will I keep them? I have some very unglamorous problems with my feet and finding shoes is a horrible task but these may work..)

Hi all, sorry been AWOL for a few days! No exciting ooutfits or new purchases to report!

I’m back in my lovely Baukjen dress today as it’s “mild”. I have however ended up throwing my trusty FatFace cardi on since taking the picture as it’s not quite as mild as I first thought Grin

Just catching up and I seem to have missed loads! Welcome to the new posters. Don't have weekend pics but dress pic is from Friday, it was DHs birthday so wanted to make an effort -

Dress: Carousel (Irish brand), cardigan: Monki, tights: H&M

Yesterday I wore Lucy and Yak boilersuit with a long sleeved top from Penneys

Today I was off as DS had a hospital appointment - lucky for us it was a lovely day and we got to play in the park by the hospital after so actually felt like a treat :D Wore H&M jeans and Oliver Bonas jumper.

Gosh, I've missed loads! Everyone is looking fab, as ever. Smile

Thanks @OublietteBravo and others who asked how I'm getting on. I'm good, ear infection has mostly cleared up and DS and I have actually had a really nice couple of weeks together. DH is home next week, so not long to go now. Smile

I've been diligently photographing my outfits then not getting around to posting them. 🤦‍♀️

Yesterday:

Pinafore - Lucy & Yak
Jumper - ASOS
Boots - DMs
Jacket - All Saints (I wasn't wearing the jacket all day but chucked it on to collect DS from nursery!)

Monday:

Shirt - French Connection
Leather look leggings - ASOS
Boots - DMs
Necklace - ASOS

Can't remember which day:
Top - H&M
Trousers - Lucy & Yak, they're a bit clown trouser-y, but I like them, they're fun.
Boots - DMs

No outfit for today yet, I'm off riding (in the pouring rain by the look of it! 😩) but I'll be back later with one.

@toastfiend I was thinking of you today, pleased you are feeling better and that DH will be home soon. My nephew has been sent to Saudi Arabia for a year for his job and he has left his wife and 2 little ones here ( they can't accompany him because of Covid) and that's incredibly hard

Yes welcome to all the newbies, it's good to have fresh faces!
It's positively balmy here today!

Morning everyone I'm so happy the weather is getting warmer I've got Raynauds so in the winter I normally have no style and have to wear about 50 layers. Toastfiend I love your outfits they are so colourful and bold, I shall be trying to be more colourful myself. Anyway today I'm in a purple mood and I'm wearing:
Smock dress newlook (bargain on ebay)
Tights from sainsburys
Jacket matalan (second hand on ebay)
My jacket is so warm and I've been using it as a house coat.

I agree with you @OublietteBravo about missing my shoes. I wore a pair of smart leather boots in an Xmas day walk and ds13 observed I 'looked weird'.

I am going out today to the Special Needs dentist with ds11. He has needed a filling for 6 years so we go regularly on the basis that one day he will relax enough to let the dentist drill it Grin) So I have sort of dressed up!

Shirt Tommy Hilfiger
Jumper Ralph Lauren
Jeans Acne Studios

Thanks @Sooverthemill. Couldn't imagine a year away, that must be very tough for all of them. DH is military, so I'm very used to him being away, but I met him after his tours so the longest time he's been away in one go was 3 months. He did spend a total of 9 months of the first year of our marriage away, though, so I'm quite well-versed these days. It's certainly harder with children in tow, though.

I had an Anthropologie sale order arrive today. These cord trousers were reduced from £80 to £14.40 (with a first-time ordering discount). I wouldn't have paid £80 for them, but absolutely keeping them for £14. They're very stretchy and comfy, and at that price I don't mind dog walking etc in them too. I also got them in a plain sage green colour, and a dress reduced from £198 to £36. The dress is beautiful off but not sure if it's entirely the right shape for me. I need to try it on properly and style it to decide, I think.

Jumper - H&M
Trousers - Anthropologie
Bracelet - Anthropologie
Boots - DMs

Wow those are bargains @toastfiend

I looked at some of the Saudi jobs when I was nursing but my colleagues that had worked there all found it so hard being a woman in the culture & put me off pursuing it further, it must be so hard to be away from kids for a year I've done 9 days for the on campus part of my MBA & that was long enough.

Not sure we will ever go back to how it was @OublietteBravo can someone post you the shoes? Some businesses are being very rigid I know which I can understand but also distresses their employees.

@OublietteBravo - I went into the office for 10 mins before this lockdown to liberate my shoes! I think we’re moving to hot-desking with fewer people wanting to work FT in the office so goodness knows where they might have ended up.

Love the anthropologie trousers @toastfiend - and what a bargain!

Today’s outfit: yesterday’s jumper - BA&SH, trousers - Baum und Pferdgarten, trainers - Adidas

@toastfiend my nephew is ex army officer. So is his wife. They met in the army and left just before babies. He now does something for a private company and I don't know what it is. She is now a management consultant . He was actually at sandhurst with Prince Harry. They've had a lot of time apart but this will be the longest time.

Greyhairwarmheart · 17/02/2021 19:38

Sorry I have been away for a while. My mum was ill and needed help and it was so cold that I was wearing limited outfits. Mild and sunny at last! Top Zara, skirt and cardigan M&S.
