@OublietteBravo I feel your pain. When I worked in the office I had a filing cabinet / lockable cupboard with all my shoes in it. Plus spare clothes etc for when we worked overnight on projects. I'd have been lost if I couldn't access them.

Everybody is looking great. Nowhere to go today so was just a dog walking outfit.

I’m a former military wife too! DH left the RAF just over a year ago after 20 years service. The overseas tours are tough, I often joke that in our first 12 years together he spent almost 3 years in another country! The toughest one was when he was deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months when DD was 10 weeks old. That hit me harder than I realised, I’ve been having therapy recently and it came up as a big unresolved issue.

Anyway, enough about that. Busy day again today but did manage to get a shot of my Ms Mia dress which was bought from a local boutique many moons ago - it’s so stretchy I wore it when I was pregnant with said DD, who turns 7 next month!

I got special permission to go into the office during an important period in a case (to print) and took that opportunity to take everything I value, including shoes and my emergency blazer. It was so eerie.

Love the silver boots @Purplecatshopaholic! I’ve been eyeing up some Mint Velvet cream ankle boots, but don’t know if there’ll be much chance to wear them anytime soon.

My home town is Salisbury and virtually everyone worked for MOD, Porton Down or was in the Army. So it was hard not to know an army family. My nephew was lucky in that he was sponsored for boarding school and then sandhurst where he did his degree. I hated his tours in Afghanistan and then Iraq. His step dad was also life time army and managed to avoid any tours in conflict zones which was pretty amazing.

It's still warm but very wet. Nurse due today to do DDs vaccination. Hoping she has time for a chat as DD is really struggling and therefore so am I. But warmer weather helps

I miss shoes too! We’re a “shoes off inside” household so I don’t even get to potter bout the house in them. I love shoes, or at least I did pre-kids! These days I swear my feet are wider due to pregnancy expansion so a lot of my beautiful, and ridiculously high, office shoes don’t fit as comfortably as they did before.

But in honour of my shoes I’ve put on one of my “lockdown boredom” purchases from last year. They were a ridiculous bargain (something like £30 reduced from £85) but I think I’ve only managed to wear them outside of the house twice since purchasing them 😂

I do love this dress, it’s clingy but stretchy, and was also a sale bargain!

I have now fallen down a bit of a French tuck rabbit hole. In an effort to not wear the same thing every day, I dug through my wardrobe and found these joggers, which I bought in the summer with the express intention of trying out the French tuck. I am reminded of how frustrating I found it, and how I eventually gave up!

Nevertheless, I'm trying again. It's possible that French tucking just isn't for me, but at least it's been an interesting exercise.

@CaveMum great shoes/dress combo. I have a similar shoe issue, we are a shoes off house and I'm worried my feet will reject formal shoes when I do get out. Think I need to start wearing my smart shoes in the house more...

Purple furry dressing gown M&S CIRCA 2015 vintage. Paired with white knitted thermal hat and coordinating fleecy boot slippers. 16 degree home so topped with a fleece blanket and accessorised with a hot cuppa.

Unexciting today. Trying hard to wear less black - so spectacular fail!

@littleloopylou I think you’ve nailed the french tuck. You can prob tuck in a bit more (deeper rather than more width) but it looks great!

Ah @Sooverthemill, I know Salisbury very well, having also grown up around that area (and spent lots of time based in the vicinity due to DH's job). It's a good spot, the Plain is fantastic for dog walks.

I'm wearing my other pair of Anthropologie sale bargain trousers today. They're so comfy and so cheap, I'm very tempted to buy the other colours as well!

Trying to decide whether to keep this. Its another Anthropologie sale bargain. I wasn't sure initially but tried it on with some different accessories and I think I like it. It's the kind of easy, floaty, okay to throw on when you're bloated, dress that I'd like more of for when we're eventually allowed out of our houses to go for lunch or daytime drinks again. My only concern is its quite voluminous on the top and I'm very, very broad, so a bit worried it makes me look bulky/even broader than I am.
