Having lip fillers on Friday!

Hi everyone

I've researched for the past year on who I'd like to do my filler.

I'm going with a well known, fully qualified with 4 years experience and a very good reputation.

I'm so nervous and I'm still undecided whether to have 0.5 or 1ml?

I don't have thin lips, just my top lip disappears when I smile, my bottom lip is plumper.

Any tips on how to reduce swelling, bruising etc?

I've been told to avoid caffeine, ibuprofen and aspirin 48 hours before and they give you an aftercare package with lip balm, an ice pack and other bite.

Anyone have any experience?

Thank you x

Go for the lower amount always is my advice or not at all.

DixieLandReject · 02/12/2020 23:09

Definitely go for the 0.5ml. You can always add more soon if it's not enough.

Whycantibetangy · 03/12/2020 00:06

First time i had mine done I had 1ml, to me they were a little too fakey pumped but looked amazing at around the 6 month mark. I went for 0.5ml this time around and they looked ace originally but I can see my toplip is thinning again (8mths) and could do with a topup

Top tips is to massage the filler as shown by your practitioner and dont plan on going anywhere for a few days - it really swells up.

Mind you, if you’re in a mask then it wont really matter Grin

Youtrustthefridge · 05/12/2020 10:25

How did it go?

dreamadream1 · 05/12/2020 12:09

Hi girls thank you!

I had 1ml as advised by the ladies who done them.

I've had not much swelling and no bruising so far, they gave me an aftercare leaflet and package too.

Here's a pic before and after x

They look gorgeous but they did to begin with.

1frenchfoodie · 05/12/2020 21:28

But you had lovely lips before! Your lips look plump with 1ml but because they were plump before it isnt too fakey fake.

dreamadream1 · 06/12/2020 13:58

Thanks girls very pleased with them and barely any swelling or bruising! ❤️

Your own lips were beautiful before...
why would you want to correct perfection??

MiddleClassMother · 06/12/2020 18:50

I think you "corrected" a bit of a none issue before, you had lovely lips! If it makes you feel more comfortable in yourself then by all means do it, but you certainly don't need it!

CosyQueen · 06/12/2020 18:52

They still look nice now but they were perfect before!

Suzi888 · 06/12/2020 18:54

Your lips were gorgeously plump before! you didn’t need the work, but they’re your lips.
They’ll always say to have 1ml because otherwise they have to throw it away (at least, that’s what I’ve been told by colleagues).

peaceanddove · 06/12/2020 19:04

Your lips were beautifully plump and full before. Now, you just look like you've had lip filler.

dreamadream1 · 06/12/2020 19:08

Thank you for the kind comments but they've gone down a lot more now and look like my natural lips just a little bit fuller so when I smile my top lip doesn't disappear.

Each to their own xx

I saw the pre-made 0.5 syringes so I knew they wouldn't have to throw them away. They gave me the option to have 0.5 but after seeing their before and afters I decided 1ml would be good and the girls agreed with me and I'm really pleased with the results x

They look exactly the same.

My lips are average nowhere as full as your natural lips. If you feel that you need fillers it makes me feel that I must be in desperate need just not realised it until now.

It's a personal thing, if you love your lips then don't touch them. I researched it for a long time before xx

They are beautiful and really natural looking

1990s · 06/12/2020 20:28

Whereabouts are you in the country OP? I’m interested in finding a good person to do them.

Yours did look lovely but also look good now!

pinkdragons · 06/12/2020 20:29

Looks great!
But so did before.

I'd like lip fillers. Same reason as you, the bottom one is full but the upper goes thin when I smile.

Separatedandabitsad · 06/12/2020 20:33

I think everyone looks better au naturelle & lip fillers don’t look good on anyone. That’s just my opinion. Smile

missmouse101 · 06/12/2020 20:39

Lip fillers look terrible. Your lips were gorgeous before. You must be mad to do this.

Tingalingtortoise · 06/12/2020 20:44

Your lips were gorgeous and looked far better before!

ParadiseLaundry · 06/12/2020 20:48

I think they look gorgeous op. I really want to get mine done again.

dreamadream1 · 06/12/2020 21:23

This is them now, I think they're very natural
