Well here we go.
I couldn't see another thread, so thought I would start one.
Will try & post pictures if I remember.
If I forget perhaps someone else could post.

I knew this was coming but I'm delighted it's here - I have a bigger version of this and it's gorgeous.

Chickydoo · 24/12/2020 07:28

Hooray! How lovely, a gorgeous Diptique candle, happy day Smile
Sad tomorrow is our last day though.
Have loved opening the little drawers each day. Now wishing I had a calendar to open in January. Think it's going to be a difficult month!

This is my favourite Diptyque candle fragrance. Grin

Stokey · 24/12/2020 08:33

I didn't really love this scent last year (still have nearly a whole candle left) so an slightly disappointed they've given us the same one this year. Then again I'm one of the few who is not mad about the perfume so maybe there is something wrong with my sense of smell!

On the whole I've been pretty happy with the calendar. Regularly using the Venn, AB cream, M&G balm, Aveda stuff & face mask (not the space one). Oh and the bum bum cream. Will also use the Votary serum & the cleanser when my current ones run out and the various shampoos & shower gels for travelling. Have already finished the bath oil, which I really liked, & will try the whey stuff today.
The lipstick actually isn't the best colour but I like the feel of it so will order it again in a better colour.

On the whole just a few duds for me - lip line & toner particularly.

mynameiscalypso · 24/12/2020 09:04

Ah, lovely. I knew this was coming from previous calendars but it's always a nice treat. It's a smell I associate with Christmas now! Will light it later when I wrap some presents with a glass of something fizzy!

NeedDrivewayHelp · 24/12/2020 12:23

Hi, I thought there was supposed to be a le labo in the calendar but I’ve not had one?! Anyone else think that?

chloechloe · 24/12/2020 12:33

I’m catching up a bit here. Yesterday’s bath salts smell lovely, really high quality. I never have time for a bath though but am determined to have some pampering sessions over the Xmas break. There’s not much else to do other than going for walks and then snuggling up at home with the kids as we’re in complete lockdown where we are and family can’t cross the border to visit.

I was expecting a Diptyque calendar and love the scent of this - it really smells of fresh rose petals.

I’m sad that there’s only one day left!

Pomegranatespompom · 24/12/2020 14:43

Love today’s.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone 🍸

Polpette · 24/12/2020 14:57

@NeedDrivewayHelp the advent calendar isn't over yet!

You might want to ask Mumsnet to delete that post so there aren't spoilers.

Polpette · 24/12/2020 14:58

Happy Christmas Eve @Pomegranatespompom

Is everyone else planning a big pamper session this evening? How many products can I cram into one night?

Pomegranatespompom · 24/12/2020 15:07

I think my priority is mulled wine @Polpette 😊

I’m thinking Boxing Day pamper.

Polpette · 24/12/2020 15:44

Ohh mulled wine! Good idea.

Costacoffeeplease · 24/12/2020 16:48

I’m not into candles at all so this will be passed on, although I still have last years in my present cupboard 🙄

chloechloe · 24/12/2020 18:08

I already asked but understandably on Xmas Eve it hasn’t been dealt with yet.

chloechloe · 24/12/2020 18:09

Sorry, last message was re a request to MNHQ to delete!

ScienceSensibility · 24/12/2020 22:09

If anyone has remaining energy for retail therapy, the Liberty sale has started online, including beauty.
Some good brands reduced, including Hourglass.
I’ve had my eye on one of their palletes and just got it nearly £20 off.

I didn’t check the eyeshadows discussed above but there are lots of eye products reduced so....

MERRY CHRISTMAS Xmas SmileWine
Our very last day. Le Labo Santal 33 & a very pretty Liberty Make up bag. On first squirt I like the Santal, it's quite strong and woody, so a win for me. I imagine it is going to have great staying power. It's very expensive £130 for a 50ml bottle!
I am really going to miss my drawer of joy each morning & I will miss sharing the fun with all of you.
Whatever you are up to today I hope you have a lovely day.
Maybe we can do this all again next year.

Was browsing the thread when I saw there was a day 25! For some reason it didn’t register with me. I was out of bed like a rocket scampering into the living room. Xmas Grin Very pleased with today. Have enjoyed this calendar so much after wanting it for years. Merry Christmas! Xmas Smile

Snapespeare · 25/12/2020 08:09

I have lurked all the way through this, but am delurking on the last day to thank you all for making this fun.

I bought myself a liberty calendar this year because last year my bosses boss told me he had bought one for his wife, who has the same first name as me.

My bosses boss and I joined the firm at the same time. We are the same age. I joined at the lowest possible paygrade.

I am from a single parent family, from a poorer area. I didn't have much opportunity - I was a teenage carer for an elderly relative. I was also single parent to 3 and have really had to graft to get where I am. Sometimes things have been VERY hard for us all. I'm now reasonably OK cashwise.

So I enjoyed buying it for myself and have enjoyed everything in it (even the lip stuff, which went straight on eBay and got me £30 back!)

Merry Christmas everyone. I will lurk again next year.

Polpette · 25/12/2020 09:38

@Snapespeare there's something really empowering about being able to finally afford an irreverent luxury like this.

I've definitely enjoyed it and this thread has added to the whole experience. Thanks everyone.

Merry Christmas!!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 25/12/2020 09:43

Then again I'm one of the few who is not mad about the perfume so maybe there is something wrong with my sense of smell!

Nah. I bought a Roses candle for my Mum A couple of years ago and sprayed the Bais on me just to see. I had to nip into a Ladies’ loo to wash it off because the smell made me headachy and sick.

chloechloe · 25/12/2020 11:19

Happy Christmas everyone!

I knew Le Labo would be coming today but the toiletries bag as well was a nice surprise (now I have 2 as it was included in the past as well).

I’m a big fan of Le Labo scents and really like this one. I still have 2 from previous years to use up as I tend to”save” them but I should really just live for today and spray them liberally!

MiaN · 25/12/2020 17:17

Lovee
Votary serum, Venn all in one, AB rich cream, Herbivore aha/bha mask, hourglass eye shadow, la labo perfume, ren eye cream and Dear Polly perfume, davines shampoo, decree cleanser, diptique candle, e bath oil

Like
dermalogica pre cleanse just as I already own it, sol de janiero body cream, the nail serum pen looks interesting, hand and body wash - bamford, noble isle shower gel and body lotion, liberty wash bag

Don't care for
DR SEBAGHSERUM REPAIR 20ML - I don't use HA serums
SUSANNE KAUFMANNHERBAL WHEY BATH 40G - meh, it didn't do anything for me
SPACEMASKSSINGLE EYE MASK - not a fan

NARSVELVET MATTE LIP PENCIL IN DRAGON GIRL colour didn't suit me
AVEDABOTANICAL REPAIR LEAVE IN TREATMENT 25ML - I don't seem to get on with Aveda products
MARIO BADESCUWITCH HAZEL & ROSEWATER TONER - straight in the bin
QMS MEDICOSMETICSLIP LINE CORRECTOR 15ML - my skin reacted really badly to this

I really enjoyed it. I am not sure I will buy it again, I find space NK really suits me great but I am going to have a look at what's on offer again next year for sure. I looked at the values of the products I love or like and it seems I have enjoyed products worth over 450gbp!

MiaN · 25/12/2020 17:18

Happy Christmas all! It was great to have this forum as escape from the news every day this December and really enjoyed different opinions on each product and the daily chats.

Pomegranatespompom · 25/12/2020 17:29
