Well here we go.
I couldn't see another thread, so thought I would start one.
Will try & post pictures if I remember.
If I forget perhaps someone else could post.

I do love the Liberty calendar as long as they vary the scents. I really don't like Santal 33 and sold it on ebay the moment I got the calendar. Loved everything else

Cocopogo · 22/12/2020 01:37

Some of the products have been a bit similar like the two shower gels and the two cleansers.

Probably my overall favourites and ones I’ll be buying again is the first two the Aveda hair serum and the venn cream. I also use the witch hazel toner each day and the nail cream pen (but won’t be repurchasing as I don’t think either does much).
Probably my least favourite is the Nars lip pencil as it’s too red for me and the Bader rich cream, I use it at night but find it very greasy.

Chickydoo · 22/12/2020 06:55

@friendlyflicka is that a spoiler?

A winner this morning! This has made me very happy. Votary super seed serum.
I love Votary. I repurchased the moisturiser from 2 years ago a couple of times (I still use it) The Votary oil from last year was marvellous, I use it every night still.
Have high hopes for this serum, looking forward to using it

Dear Liberty, After opening this morning’s box I have forgiven you for the lip serum transgression Grin

I love Votary and haven’t had this before, it looks lush! I agree chickydoo that the moisturiser was also great.

Very very happy today. I think this, together with a couple of items which I suspect will still be to come will make the calendar a good buy for me overall.

chloechloe · 22/12/2020 07:55

And an important question for chickydoo - how do your skirting boards look so clean!?! My kids obviously haven’t been in your house Grin

Chickydoo · 22/12/2020 08:07

@chloechloe Only reason photos are taken on floor is that there is so much crap on all the surfaces 😂

Was excited to see the Votary this morning.

But...does anyone else's serum smell bad? It made me feel slightly sick as I was putting it on. If it's meant to smell like this then I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I'm saving my space mask for Christmas Eve so will reserve judgement.

MiaN · 22/12/2020 08:34

I love this serum! It doesn't smell great due to the fact that it doesn't have any irritating fragrant ingredients, it's packed with good for your skin ingredients. Give it chance, it's really good!

MiaN · 22/12/2020 08:36

I had it before and I was going to repurchase and it is one of the reasons I decided Liberty advent is well worth it for me. It's also great size it is going to last me long time

Orcadianrythyms · 22/12/2020 08:36

I quite like the smell, it smells green, sort of cucumberish.
I've loved both moisturisers and already repurchased the Venn - the AB is quite expensive but I'm loving it as a night cream.

MiaN · 22/12/2020 08:39

I like it too but I can understand if you are fan of elemis/espa type of scented products it can take awhile to adjust. I have combo skin and this is like moisturizer for me, I don't add anything after. It feels very nourishing and calming

Polpette · 22/12/2020 08:42

I use the Ordinary so am used to no smell or odd smell. This was just particularly potent and made my stomach churn.

If it's meant to smell like that then I'll stick with it!

Pomegranatespompom · 22/12/2020 08:45

I love votary too. Would I put this on first ? Or after HA?

This was one of the products I wanted. It’s turned the calendar corner for me 😊

MiaN · 22/12/2020 08:49

I don't use HA, but I think it's goes wet skin, HA, let it dry, other products. HA is suppose to work better on wet skin

MiaN · 22/12/2020 08:50

Stick with it!

Pomegranatespompom · 22/12/2020 08:54

Thank you Mia - I use the HA from a previous calendar offering - honestly I’m a bit clueless.
I might do serum and moisturiser in the morning. I don’t want to over product my skin - if that’s a thing.
I’m almost at the end of the HA and not sure it does much tbh - I’ll find out soon I guess !

imp2007 · 22/12/2020 08:56

Ooh yes!!! Just opened today's really happy I loved the oil from last year and it lasted for ages so hoping this will be equally fab!

MiaN · 22/12/2020 08:56

I think the votary falls into calming/nourishing category unlike acids, retinols and vit c and as such you shouldn't need to worry about over doing it by adding it. If anything it should make other ingredients less irritating. I don't think HA is irritating either - it's the AHAs and BHAs

chloechloe · 22/12/2020 08:59

I haven’t smelt mine yet polpette but remember having the same issue with the Votary cream in past years. As others have said, it is full of good for you natural ingredients without any fragrance. It takes a bit of getting used to though!

I think you can skip HA, as this contains it already:

Pomegranatespompom · 22/12/2020 09:06

Ah thank you for that helpful link @chloechloe

mynameiscalypso · 22/12/2020 09:42

Such helpful chat this morning! I was getting a bit overwhelmed at the thought of trying to fit everything in to my morning routine! 😂

Bellsandwhistle · 22/12/2020 10:21

I love votary and the oil we had another year. DD announced this smells of play dough! Am sure or will be lovely on.

Nc135 · 22/12/2020 10:44

If anyone wants to swap aura for smoke PM me. I have smoke.

friendlyflicka · 22/12/2020 11:23

Sorry for spoiler last night.

I would use the HA in the morning and the votary at night. No very clever reason other than I think the Dr S makes your skin look tight and plump straight away, whereas the votary is more overnight healing and moisturising.
