General beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread

Like many others, I’m looking forward to starting my Beauty Advent Calendars on Tuesday. With no M&S calendar or thread this year, I thought it might be fun to have a general beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts about the calendar they are opening, whatever it is.

I suggest though we comment only on content from current or previous days, so as not to spoil the surprise for those opening one day at a time.

In my No 7 AC I had a black eyeliner.

@ajandjjmum - Liberty is a Venn Age-Reversing-All-In-One. Looks interesting! Be grateful for any advice on how to use it. Can't wait to look 30 again.

@OchonAgusOchonO and I never even wear bloody black eyeliner Maybe I need to do a smoky eye more often just to get through them all.

Day 1 and 2 of Boots No 7

Dd20 uses them as a lip liner. Apparently it needs to be a smudgy one though.

Lip liner that's a new one I'll ask DD if she's come across that. I've got hooded eyes so don't really need to wear eyeliner or eyeshadow just mascara.

Cute little By Terry Baume De Rose lip balm in my Fenwicks this morning. Feels and smells lovely but getting the product out of the teeny jar is going to be a challege after a few days.

Another No 7 black eyeliner here too.....to add to the collection of black eyeliners I've accrued over previous Decembers.

BB cream from H&B today, looks a bit pale but I haven't tried it yet so may be pleasantly surprised.

That Rituals shower gel is gorgeous, I opened the calendar last month and am just coming to the end of the bottle now. Really love the scent and will buy it again.

The Lumene Vit C applies and sinks in quickly from a watery gel texture with a lovely subtle orangey smell. Love it so far.

Another happy morning here! I have a lovely foaming shower gel in my Rituals calendar (I got a free one when I bought my calendar & this is thankfully a different smell) & a gorgeous smelling bath oil from the White Company. The oil is in a lovely glass bottle & feels very luxurious. Working in central London today so I think I’ll deserve a bath when I get home! Double chocolate popcorn from my foodie calendar too

I don't even like popcorn but yours is definitely tempting me

The N-a-P tiniest conditioner in the world was actually quite nice - but I did have to use all of it in one go! I reckon it was worth about £3, and the shampoo yesterday was the same, so struggling to see how the overall value of the calendar will be close to the £1,000 that was advertised. Must be some REALLY good stuff to come!

The Lumene serum a few of you have us lovely - it sinks in really well and smells great.

I’m a big fan of the Baume de Rose as well - one of the few lip balms I've ever finished!

Small Honeysuckle and Davana cologne in my Jo Malone calendar this morning. Not a scent I've used before but it smells nice.

I’m very interested in the detox shampoo I got today in my Cult calendar. Have already started using the facial oil from yesterday and it’s divine

Yes the serum that was posted in a photo above is in the same range. I’ve opened the Lumene AC already and it’s a great line of products.
