General beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread

Like many others, I’m looking forward to starting my Beauty Advent Calendars on Tuesday. With no M&S calendar or thread this year, I thought it might be fun to have a general beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts about the calendar they are opening, whatever it is.

I suggest though we comment only on content from current or previous days, so as not to spoil the surprise for those opening one day at a time.

@AprilLady - I'm off to print labels, fill jars and make my fortune.

From CEW, a lip oil. Not a product I would buy but I'll use it up. Lumene is, just in case we hadn't enough, another moisturiser. That's 8 moisturisers (I think) out off 22 days. Tea is Berry fruity. It's fine but I'm not a major fan of fruit tea. At least these don't have the fake taste a lot of them have.

@OchonAgusOchonO, I love fruit teas.

Just read the blurb on the neck cream box “reduce wrinkle depth by up to 46% in 6 weeks”. How do they measure these things? And how did they decide it was 46%, not 45% or 47%???

@OchonAgusOchonO you will be surprised at the pump thing with the goat milk cream. Murad use that packaging and it's astonishing how the suction of the pump action gets every little scrap of cream out without unscrewing the top. And it feels more hygienic somehow too!

Anyone seen any calendars reduced. I fancy another one.
I opened all of mine so the cardboard could go out with the recycling yesterday

@AprilLady - it's essential to use odd numbers to sound credible. 45% sounds like a rough guess whereas 46% is obviously scientifically calculated.

@Defiantly41 - I've never come across that type of pump before so am looking forward to trying it. My strategy is to use the small tubs/tubes of moisturiser first before I move on to the full size one. Given I have 8 from Lumene, it will be a while before I get to it.

Oh, and @AprilLady, my thumb cream will reduce creases and age spots by 63.4% with 6.2 weeks usage.

I can start a new thread as we’re nearly at the end of this one, unless anyone else would like to? I won’t be doing Jadvent, but those who are could continue to post. Presumably best to leave swaps to a separate thread?

A shower bomb from H&B today, which looks interesting, and BIG bag of Love Corn from Degustabox. I really do love corn so I'm happy with that!

No, it's more like crunchy little unpopped kernels. Very tasty! Degustabox have done very well for the "salty crunchy snacks to go with a G&T" type stuff!
