How often do you brush your hair in a day?

I have long hair (down to my lower back) and yesterday I realised that until going to bed last night, I had only brushed it once, while getting dressed (I WFH) in the morning. Hair of course gets dirty, like everything else, and I usually brush it a few times a day (mostly when I go for a pee) as that also makes it more presentable if I need to pop out.

So that got me wondering what others do - how often do you brush your hair? And is it long or short?

I mean, I only brush mine when I get up / dressed; when I wash it; and commonly if I were getting changed to go out somewhere in the evening, but I am not one of the perfectly groomed in life.

I just assumed that quite a high % of people would regularly 'touch up' their hair (be that with comb or brush) throughout the day.

Once, usually before my shower. I don't think my hair looks better when it's just been brushed so I don't bother during the day.

Other than after washing in the evening, I brush it in the morning. Very very occasionally if it’s super windy, I might need to run a brush over it if I’m going out straight from the office. My hair is long and fine.

Never. I don't own a brush. I use wide tooth comb when it's wet. And wash it every day.

My hair is halfway down my back, fine hair but lots of it do it looks thick, very slight wave at the ends. I brush it in the morning when I get up. I might give it a quick tidy once or twice a day. Then 100 strokes with an old fashioned bristle every night before bed.,

Properly: once every two days, after washing it.

I do a slight brush of the root area most mornings. I have thick wavy hair and if I pulled a brush through it when dry it would just look bushy.

Mine is long, bra strap length. It only ever gets brushed through when I wash it, so once every 2 - 3 days.
