How many coats do we think she has?

CPM channeling CPV in a berry coloured suit at the launch of the Christmas Seal Foundation. Which I deduce has something to do with stamps, and not the barking animals.

I’m not sure about the pillars of colour. It’s all very Hillary Clinton

banivani · 28/10/2020 08:15

It’s the very same way QE dresses surely, all one tone.

Disillusionedsusan · 28/10/2020 10:28

What did Ada say?! Grin

29 is my favourite, the rowing one. She looks so fit, healthy and happy.

MotherofPearl · 28/10/2020 10:31

I always think CPM looks great in those warm berry colours.

Acornsgalore · 28/10/2020 11:11

It is interesting about Q Paola. Without wishing to be goady, I agree, she looks very calm and dignified there. On the other hand, I think it's appalling that the King denied the existence of his child for years and had to be forced by the courts (repeatedly) to provide a DNA sample. Delphine has been lambasted as a schemer and trouble-maker when what she was saying was true all along. I'm not sure I would want to stay with someone who did that to their own child. In addition, Queen P has had to endure the public humiliation of her husband's infidelity. Perhaps that is normal in their circles, perhaps she has had extra-marital dalliances of her own, but is it kudos for being so gracious, or pity for agreeing to go along with the charade? Maybe they are genuinely happy together now? (Sorry, for rambling and straying from fashion, fwiw I do like the fact both women are wearing jeans Smile.)

Acornsgalore · 28/10/2020 11:14

And the comments .... "Bravo for your graciousness sire" sort of thing..."well done for this act of kindness" What?? Yuck!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/10/2020 14:11

Are you referring to Albert or Paola?

Acornsgalore · 28/10/2020 14:21

In my last post, sire referred to Albert. Apologies though, I have strayed too far away from fashion ... .

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/10/2020 14:25

Yes we need some royal fashion.
Goes off to find some Smile

frugalkitty · 28/10/2020 14:38

Hmm. Not fashion related but something to think about.....I read an article the other day about the royals of Albania. Except, Albania is a republic so they aren't 'real' royals. Made me wonder about the Greek royals and what will happen after the ex-king dies....will they continue the pretence? At what point do they really become irrelevant like the Sussexes and stop parading around in their finery. Can one be a king without a country?

Maireas · 28/10/2020 14:58

I think the Greek Royals will cling on to their titles, they've got links to the British RF. I find it strange when the French line continue to use titles, centuries after Mme La Guillotine.

Camilla has been to Paddington Station today. I like her suit (especially the collar which looks like it might be velvet) and what a relief to see the black suede boots are back! Grin

The dogs are dogs being trained to sniff out Covid, apparently. Confused

I like that purply suit. Is the contrast velvet or satin? Very nice, and hurrah for the boots! Cams has been out and about quite a lot, which is good to see.

MotherofPearl · 28/10/2020 19:36

I think you're right, it does look more like satin.

Just noticed Matt Hancock in the background, giving side-eye. Grin

Lovely lovely clip of Maud Angelica Behn, daughter of Princess Martha-Louise of Norway being awarded ‘Bravest Woman of the Year’ award by a magazine for the heartfelt speech she made after the death of her father Ari Behn. Maud spoke out to raise awareness of mental health difficulties.

Fashion note: Princess M-L, disappointingly without Shamen Derek but wearing a beautiful blue pussy bow blouse with waist tie.

StartupRepair · 28/10/2020 20:03

The Greek royals also have Danish titles so they can swan about on those.

Maireas · 28/10/2020 20:17

Indeed, they're not really very Greek at all, are they? I'm reminded of old Queen Mary's reported response to Philip marrying Elizabeth, saying he was the kind of Greek she liked, being German and Danish!

Oh that was really nice to see, I wish her all the best!

Yes I think if you have Covid you can send clothing you’ve worn for them to help train the dogs.

megletthesecond · 28/10/2020 23:46

DD had a covid test earlier this month and we were given a leaflet about the sniffer dog covid trials.
Apparently you need to spend a whole day at the lab and be prepared to wear specific nylon clothes IIRC. Presumably to prevent cross contamination or something.

SenecaFallsRedux · 29/10/2020 14:11

Nice clip of Maud Angelica. She looks more like her grandmother Queen Sonja as she gets older, I think.

Gooseysgirl · 30/10/2020 09:47

Kate's literal dressing used to annoy me but I'm over it now, and I find it endearing and kind of expect it 😄 Check out the rainbows on the blouse she wore a few days ago for the Pride of Britain award to NHS workers! Such a lovely touch - I didn't notice it at the time...

I think the literal dressing has almost become Kate's thing, almost like a slight rebellion against expectations. She strikes me as someone who isn't hugely into fashion and doesn't want to grab attention for what she wears in the way Diana did back in the day.
I can imagine her having a whatsapp chat with Pippa before an event and saying, "Do you think I can get away with this?" 🤣

MotherofPearl · 30/10/2020 19:46

Such a striking photo of Princess Caroline and Charlotte, who have given an interview in Madame Figaro magazine. The resemblance between them is really amazing.
