How many coats do we think she has?

I wear that every day. Or Sugar Daddy (shudder) which is more pink. I've never had a problem with streaking. I put a very thin layer on, then another. Seems to work ok..

mother I succumbed to the Ballet Slippers love, and it drives me bonkers.
Of course, it was only after getting it that I read online, that it is streaky.
I find Essie Sugar Daddy much easier to apply.
And if I want to use Ballet Slippers I do it when I have lots of time to get it right. HTH

MotherofPearl · 30/11/2020 06:46

Thanks both. I think perhaps I need to try Sugar Daddy. So to speak!

Maireas · 30/11/2020 07:35

Mademoiselle is also very pale. Sugar Daddy has a slightly more pinky tone, but they both give a modest sheen.

3 things :)

  1. Charles and Diana's wedding cake - so simple and angular! I'm surprised actually. A cake to sort of match her dress would have been lovely :)
  1. Kate's looking nice in a bit of lippy.
  1. Essie nail polish. I don't have Ballet Slippers but i do have You DO Blue. I have it on at the mo. to cover a grown out french gel (counting days till my appt. at nail salon!!) and i don't find it goes on streaky as long as i do 2 layers and not too thin for each layer. Seems not to chip easily.

Some great clothes in this round up of Royals at Christmas. CPV looking stunning

CarrotVan · 30/11/2020 08:44

The link would help

banivani · 30/11/2020 09:36

This is this years advent greeting from CPV and family

She got a bit of teasing for that red mrs Santa dress iirc but I quite like it, works in the setting ;)

StartupRepair · 30/11/2020 19:41

Love Victoria's red dress in the Christmas roundup.

LadyEloise · 01/12/2020 08:44

Did anyone watch Christmas at Sandringham on Channel 4 last night ?

Laiste · 01/12/2020 09:00

LadyEloise - no, will look for that on catch up, but i have arrived at episode 1 of series 3 of the crown and i can't cope with the change in actors!! Angry

Only had time to watch the first 10 mins but couldn't they have just aged Clare Foy gradually? Elizabeth would only have been in her 40s in the 60s but it feels like they've made her an old woman already!

frugalkitty · 01/12/2020 12:38

Laiste I thought the same. They didn't need to age the characters until season four really.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 01/12/2020 23:40

I agree too & it seems a shame that Emma Corrin will be replaced in Season 5. Surely Diana won't have aged that much so Emma could still play her?

Yes DD and I are on this season too and thought the same - also it takes ages to get used to the new actors "in role".

I laughed at an over 50 Helena Bonham Carter playing a 34 year old Princess Margaret - and the same for the actor playing Tony Armstrong Jones.

Laiste · 02/12/2020 13:22

Yes! HBC is 10 years older than Olivia Colman and is playing her younger sister.

Tablefor4 · 03/12/2020 18:33

Prince Charles and Camilla have been out and about in London's theares and clubs. Quite like the ribbons on the back of Camilla's suit for the tucks.

AppleKatie · 03/12/2020 18:41

Are they socially distancing from each other in those pics or have they had a row 😂

Tablefor4 · 03/12/2020 20:53

Perhaps, given the separate houses they live in, they are two "households"

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/12/2020 21:14

I think Charles is in the doghouse for polishing off Camilla's chocolate truffles or not replacing the gin or something Wink
I've never seen Camilla look that stern & stiff!
She does look lovely in that forest green colour. I like her gloves but then I love leather gloves. My DM wears leather gloves & I would love the feel of them when holding her hand as a small child in the colder months.

Horsemad · 05/12/2020 15:26

I'm guessing we won't see much Christmas fashion this year 😟 especially as HM is staying at Windsor, so we won't see the annual walk to church from the younger family members - not sure how my in-laws will cope, as they usually go to watch. 😲

randomer · 05/12/2020 15:28

Its a shame The Crown has fueled the obsession ( again) with Diana.

MaudTheInvincible · 06/12/2020 10:46

So W&K are off on a train trip to say thank you to all those who helped the country keep going during covid. Wonder if Kate will dress up as a train conductor?

Maireas · 06/12/2020 10:50

True, Maud! I'm thinking of a locomotive inspired outfit Smile

Apparently they are going to Scotland. So tartan.

Maireas · 06/12/2020 14:20

Ah yes. Going north of the border, the royals have to bedeck themselves in tartan. It's what the indigenous tribes wear, I understand.
