Haha the thought of Kate as a train conductor really tickled me...she does love litteral dressing....

Absolutely tartan not only scottish theme but seasonal! The red coat will come out again

The Crown. I have just arrived at the episode with Anne sleeping with Andrew PB Didn't know about that. Knew about Charles with Diana's sister ... Tangled isn't it!?

I must admit i enjoyed the earlier episodes more than these. Mostly because of all the lovely 30's 40's 50's fashion. Also these last few episodes are beginning to feel less factual and more like a soap opera. Much of the 'plot' seems to be revolving simply around different characters thoughts or feelings which i can't imagine anyone would know about for sure.

Ah yes Laiste, Princess Anne and Andrew PB remain good friends. Wasn't there a photo of them chatting together at Royal Ascot last year?

I also loved that tartan skirt posted by Horsemad. She looked great, especially with that fitted cardi, which was a Brora one if I remember correctly. I love Brora knitwear.

Here comes the tartan 😄

It's only a scarf. Small mercies. I recall Diana's first couple of years at Balmoral and the complete tartan outfits she wore to watch the Braemar Games. Including jaunty tartan bunnets.

Love that ensemble on Kate! I like the green coat, black boots, splash of tartan combo.
Also love that swishy flicky hair and her joyful expression even under the mask!

I like the stiletto boots Kate had on with her coat. Not sure about the scarf, it's a bit pointless just draped round her neck.

It looks very Great War officer but I like it.

Maybe the scarf is to hide the unfortunate flaps?

Ah yes you're right, I didn't recognise it. I love the colour. I even quite like the flaps!

I love the coat that Kate has changed into for the first stop of their trip. Lovely colour, simple cut. No flaps or dodgy pockets in sight.

Obviously she does, and that's why she wore a tartan scarf with the green coat (a) to hide the offensive flaps she knew we didn't like and (b) because she knew we'd all appreciate that small piece of literal dressing!

I really like Kate's blue coat today. Beautifully cut and the fabric looks cosy.
