Oh dear, there will be weeping & wailing in the Cambridge household over the loss of the poor dog.
But on a brighter note, it's nice to hear that Eugenie & Jack have moved into Frogmore Cottage. 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 22/11/2020 21:39

Really Ada
That's lovely. I'm sure Eugenie & Jack & new baby will be very happy there.
Plus it's handy for babysitters Smile

Just found an article thanks to Ada's tip off

Kate appearing on Kensington Insta today regarding her early years work. Looking forward to hearing more about this. Love that she is wearing trouser suits a lot more - really suits her! But Jaysus the eye makeup up Hmm

Thanks, Gooseysgirl I really like the trouser suits, it's a bit more modern. Love the necklace and the hair. The eye make up.......not so much!

I thought Kate's eye make-up looked much better the other week in the picture in this post from MotherofPearl (photos attached). Maybe she wasn't wearing her top eye liner? Whatever it was, the overall effect was much lighter than usual.

I agree Maud.

I wonder why she seldom wears noticeable lipstick and generally opts for such heavy eye-makeup? Here's a photo from today's NMR round-up. Hard to see the eyes in this one.

Yes, always the heavy eye makeup, not much lippy. I'd like to see her try it the other way round. Gorgeous red jacket.

I always used to wear liquid eye liner on my top lid. I'm in my early forties now and it is no longer the flattering look it once was; half or quarter lid or even none is better for me now. Maybe Kate needs to wean herself off the heavy eyed look.

MaudTheInvincible · 23/11/2020 19:45

A bit of bold lippy would be great to see!

AppleKatie · 23/11/2020 20:00

The more I look at eye makeup the more I see black eyes. To be fair it isn’t just Kate it’s an epidemic amongst celebrities at the moment.

banivani · 23/11/2020 21:19

AppleKatie I agree with you. Everyone has holes for eyes nowadays. We need to bring back normal eyes!

mrscampbellblackagain · 24/11/2020 14:29

Definitely too many fans of the smokey eye. I like a nice shimmery eye which brightens it up.

I am so missing wearing lipstick as just can't deal with the marks it leaves on masks but feel undressed without it on.

MotherofPearl · 24/11/2020 14:53

I totally agree mrscampbell. I really love proper lipstick and have so many lovely tubes of it, but it is not at all mask friendly.

MotherofPearl · 24/11/2020 19:19

A few more photos from the Big 5 event Goosey posted about upthread.

You can really see the huge amount of make up here. I like the one showing her sofa cushions and photos in the background . I must admit that I love her hair!

I think an advantage of heavy eyemakup is that when you're not wearing it your appearance changes so drastically that you can fly under the radar. I genuinely think some people might use that. Wink

Do you remember the 90s version of Pride and Prejudice - there were loads of articles written about how they worked to get the clothes and makeup historically accurate and one of those things was bare eyes, no eye makeup of any kind.

frugalkitty · 25/11/2020 09:46

Has anyone seen the article about Meghan's miscarriage? She lost a baby in July. It's so sad, and although most unusual for a royal (ex?) to write publicly about such things, it might bring comfort to others.

carolebaskinfedhimtothetigers · 25/11/2020 09:50

I've just seen a tweet from a woman on Twitter saying how nice it is for Megan to write about something they've been through, so went in search of the article and read it on sky news. I hope it helps others and I agree it is a taboo subject when it really shouldn't be. No doubt she will receive lots of criticism over it though.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/11/2020 10:44

Poor Meghan & Harry.
I read the article it was very moving.

Anyone criticising a mother who has had a miscarriage is a nasty piece of work.

frugalkitty · 25/11/2020 11:45

Tracy I agree. Everyone handles things differently and none of them are wrong. I hope she doesn't come in for too much criticism.

In other news, there's very little royal fashion to be seen out there, I'm keeping my eyes open!

Gooseysgirl · 25/11/2020 11:46

Gosh poor M & H, not read the article but that is indeed very sad news for them 😕

MaudTheInvincible · 25/11/2020 16:37

Very sad news from the Sussexes.

Maireas · 25/11/2020 17:40

It's a very good letter, Meghan does write well, I always think. Very intimate in a way, but moving.
