Cult Beauty Advent Calendar 2020

Thought I’d better start a thread for this beauty. No spoilers please! Only post in each appropriate day.

I'm happy with it but I'm hoping for some makeup tomorrow.

I agree about today. I also think they had all their star products first 5 days and it has been less impressive since, they should have spread them around little bit

Frist 5 days
Full size Votary oil, Full size verso eye cream, Full size oskia acid treatment, shampoo

Second five days
Two 10ml serums, mini shower gel, single use body moisturizer, and sleep oil that many (including myself) don't like the smell off

Last 4 days
clay mask, many over 25 will be hesitant of using, mini oil when we already have one, body oil - probably few uses worth and mini vit c serum

I think they deliberately went after the initial wow factor

For me at least, the 4 big hits are first 5 days

Over 50 here and tried the mask last week. It's not drying on my skin and doesn't harden. It does change from blue to pink once applied! Novelty factor yes but not sure I would re-purchase.

I knew all the contents before buying so I'm not disappointed. The price was far too high for me just to hope I'd like everything. I haven't looked at the list since buying it in October so most mornings are a surprise. I do wish that Cult Beauty would have a perfume or two though. I know they do it so they can sell the same calendar abroad; Liberty has a special overseas variation where any perfumes/aerosols are substituted. I always love the scents in Liberty but after three years the Liberty advent got too samey for me. Some of the small items in the last few days have had a high price tag. The body oil retails at £50. It's definitely time for some makeup tomorrow though.

the body oil adds on youtube are mental, good looking Brazilian girl/guy applying the oil while on the beach! I thought using oil while sun tanning is thing of the 90's and dead by now

I looked at the contents of lots of calendars before buying and this was the one that appealed to me the most BECAUSE of the small amount of makeup! I am dark skinned and generic ‘universal’ shades just don’t tend to work well for me. I had the space nk one last year and gave away pretty much all of the makeup.
This calendar for me wasn’t actually the most exciting but it has things I’ve used I the past and really liked so it was a good way of topping up and also for the sake of trying a few new things.
Although that demamiel sleep potion is long gone, the smell is utterly rank to me I don’t like their skin recovery blend either for the same reason, they use the same ingredient that I can’t abide the smell of!

the body oil is advertised as suitable for hair too but it really did not work for me. My hair looks worse than before I washed it and I put tiny bit.

I will use it as body oil

There's about 25% makeup so I don't think that's a small amount. One of the other high end advents (was it Net a Porter?) had very little makeup. I do love getting makeup if it's something I will use - definitely not yet another black eyeliner pencil or matte red lipstick.

Things like black mascara and red lipstick I will use, I think in 14 days so far that we have only had 1 makeup item. I might be wrong .
My daughter is going to have the rest of the makeup bits, either her or my friend.
I definitely didn’t think a quarter of the days were makeup though or else I’d not have bought it!

Or, at least makeup which I knew I wouldn’t use! I don’t mind some it’s just as I said before, a lot of the blushers, peachy pinky lipsticks, highlighters etc just don’t work for everyone and it’s a waste for me.

Some days have more than one item. I'm doing a percentage of all the contents. There's one full size item I'm really looking forward to.

Another face oil today, it'll go in the drawer and I'll get to it eventually.

I really liked the face mask yesterday, my skin feels lovely today and I'd already consider repurchasing it, even after only one use. I've loved the body oil from the other day - a tiny bit goes a long way so I can see it lasting ages.

Ready for some make-up now too!

I’ve been happy with most things. Like others I knew the contents before buying but have forgotten.

Someone on a FB group I’m in did a spreadsheet comparison of all of the beauty advent calendars and this came out as the best value financially. When you take into account RRP.

Another great day. Apart from the sleep oil I will use everything so far!

augustinus bader the rich cream 15ml

Very rich. Don’t use as a day moisturiser, I’ve looked like a sweaty grease ball all day at work

I used 3 pumps of the Rich Cream this morning and felt like I was having to drag it across my face, so then I used another 3 pumps - and consequently I have also looked like a grease ball all day.

I've been using it for the last couple of weeks. I have dry skin and used two pumps. It's a weird consistency. It feels rich but then seems to go almost watery on the skin. I'm following the instructions to use it directly on my skin with no serum underneath. It does feel very comfortable on and absorbs well.

I got AB in Cult Beauty last year. It didn't change my skin forever but was a nice rich moisturiser.

I hope today's doesn't smell of banana. They must be saving all the makeup for the last week.

I will use today on my neck & bellow as it's too scented for my face. I don't think the fragrance is super heavy but I just prefer fragrance free for my face

I've been wanting to try something by this brand so I'm pleased with today's. Just tried it on and it went on lovely. It feels quite light so will be good in the day. I like the smell!
