@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

Another rec for Jigsaw camis. They are brilliant, but don't have wide straps. Wash well, hold their shape, come in a lovely range of colours and are really soft and comfortable to wear.

I recommend the longer, slip version too - I use mine as a nightdress, as well as a slip.

I did love Jigsaw camis had a nice lace one but then the lovely people at Jigsaw discontinued the nude colour one so currently wearing a cheap and cheerful Zara one.

Vests are interesting - got an old nude lace trim H&M one and M&S autograph which could be thermal (black) and also got some Intimissi ones which are black spots (velvet and net) and a silky cami vest - the latter lovely but no use for the cold - other one will just about do!

Greyhairwarmheart · 12/10/2020 16:58

Ellaandme do beautiful camis madeof bamboo and made in the UK

Shannith · 12/10/2020 17:04

I've got a few Zara wide strap vests, but they are synthetic and clingy and make me feel like I'm back in the 90s.

Boring WFH today. Still entire outfit £2.
Socks cost more!

Jumper- river island
Top underneath - gap
Jeans - H&M (new favourites)
Sock/ - fancy running ones used today because they are extremely warm.

Ooh, I've found my people - can I join you please?

Freezing cold on my office so I've layered up.

Jacket : New Look
Scarf: present, don't know
Jeans: Next relaxed skinny, fleece lined tights from Primark underneath!
Boots: Rocket Dog
Grey jumper with about a million layers underneath : not sure

I buy practically everything second hand so all the above is off ebay except the scarf and tights - it's the only way I can afford my clothes habit!

Whistles cords arrived - they are the barrel leg ones. Lovely quality and I really liked them but unfortunately the 28inch waist was so tight I could breath when I sat down! So they have gone straight back sadly. Was trying on here with different boots btw - am aware I have odd shoes on Grin

Doing very little in the house today - weather appalling too! Vegan leather trews from Blackburd, with my beloved Vivienne Westwood high tops, a camisole from Marks, and a v old but faithful hoodie from Juicy Couture (ah, back in the day..) Photobombed by one of the Purplecat brigade today, lol

@Dauphinois - welcome to the thread. Great outfit.

@Softpebbles - I love your dress/top combination from yesterday. I can’t even go into my office to collect things I left in the cupboard (they have deactivated all of our passes to make sure we can’t go in). Current communications suggest we might be allowed back for 1-2 days per week next spring.

@Ellapaella - I haven’t packed the Hush dungarees up yet. I’ll try and remember to take a photo of them on before I return them. They’re lovely - just short.

Today’s outfit makes me realise that I need to watch what I eat a little more as my weight is certainly creeping back up again.

Jumper: Next
Trousers: Warehouse
Boots: Celtic & Co (I have these in 2 different colours)

Sooverthemill · 13/10/2020 08:49

@OublietteBravo I recommend my not-eating-anything for 8 days diet! I've lost 11 lbs ( and am today going for repeat blood tests to check there's nothing sinister going on).
@Ellapaella those cords! Wow. I found with the Levi high waisted jeans I ordered I couldn't breathe so sent them back. Returns take ages with Levi though. I think my rib cage must be wider than 'normal' compared to waist size as most reviews suggest normal waist size is fine. Are you getting next size up? I have my navy cords from jigsaw sale last year I can't wait for it to be cold enough to wear
@Dauphinois welcome! Great outfit.
Thanks for all the cami tips, will look.

Shirt: hush
Jeans: hush
Trainers: jigsaw

Glad to see you’re feeling better @Sooverthemill

Back to work today after two weeks off doing sod all so actual clothes that don’t fit the ‘comfy for lounging on the sofa’ brief!

Cat button cardigan - Sainsburys
Christine skirt - Hush
Boots - Deichman
Rainbow necklace - Next

Lets see if I’m warm enough.

I will be wearing H&M black balloon (the more expensive version) sleeve jumper, Zara brown vest underneath it, Top Shop leggings and the brown striped Zara socks from yesterday.

Not on phone so not easy to take and upload photos here! Might put on H&M new black leather boots with black fur inside too.

Wearing sort of half hoop wired glitzy twist silver earrings from a shop called L'Etage 2 which is one of those crafty shops that sell handmade items.

PalacePaper · 13/10/2020 13:12

@Shannith I love the idea of a heated blanket! And what a beautiful cat.

@Ellapaella those cord trousers look lovely, such a shame they're not quite right. That leg shape is really growing on me, I think @judystilldreamsofhorses has some too.

So glad you're feeling better @Sooverthemill

I'm wearing my new cardigan today Smile With old M&S skirt and black DMs for school pick up later. And a close up picture of the bees 🐝

Ooh PalacePaper I LOVE the bees!! Can I ask where it's from please?

Sickoffamilydrama · 13/10/2020 14:00

Looking good all tempted to buy a bee cardigan too now...might on payday!

DD had an autistic meltdown this morning (first one in absolutely age) so literally throw this on that's the beauty of dresses so easy to wear.

@Ellapaella - these are the Hush dungarees (not styled - just worn with today’s jumper/boots). Size 8 - worn without any kind of turn-up. They’re lovely soft corduroy and very comfortable. Just a very short leg length.

OublietteBravo · 13/10/2020 14:59

(I’m not especially tall - my height is 163cm)

Sickoffamilydrama · 13/10/2020 15:07

Is Hush normally that small @OublietteBravo? They'd definitely be shin swingers on me sizing is always so inconsistent, it's always frustrating when they don't tell you the leg length online as well.

Although just Googled and average UK height is 5ft3/4 for women so perhaps they decide sizing based on that? In fact how does the fashion industry decide on arm and leg lengths 🤔

Purplecatshopaholic · 13/10/2020 15:37

Love that outfit @Sickoffamilydrama, great colours too. And those dungas @OublietteBravo.

PalacePaper · 13/10/2020 16:24

It's from & Other Stories @Justonedayatatime11 It was a bit of a splurge but I got 10% off by signing up for their newsletter It's lovely quality, but it's definitely going to shed - I won't be wearing black under it for a while!

Love that dress @Sickoffamilydrama

toastfiend · 13/10/2020 16:47

I'm loving being able to get my cord dungarees back out now it's cooler!

Dungarees - Lucy & Yak
Top - Sparkle & Fade. I think I bought it in 2012 from Urban Outfitters. Old, anyway. I rarely wear it these days as it has spiky shoulders so it's hard to cuddle DS. He's at nursery today, though, so took the opportunity to get it out again.

Will wear with DMs when I go to an appointment later.

I'm another who needs to be a bit more mindful about what I eat. My lockdown lbs never really left me and I've noticed my weight starting to creep up again. I was quite overweight before I got pregnant with DS and was delighted to lose it and get back down to a healthy BMI after I had him, but since stopping breastfeeding I'm noticing it's becoming more difficult to keep off, and I need to be more aware of it than I have been if I don't want to end up back there again.

Shannith · 13/10/2020 19:19

@PalacePaper I love the bees!

Sooverthemill · 13/10/2020 19:34

@Ellapaella @OublietteBravo I tried the hush cord dungarees last year and the were fab but I decided just too expensive! Perfect length on my 5'1 too

Dauphinois · 13/10/2020 19:52

I'd love to see the H&M jumper @CleverCatty . I like the look of balloon sleeves but haven't gone there yet.

@toastfiend the colour of those dungarees is gorgeous!

@Sooverthemill @OublietteBravo @Ellapaella thank you for the welcome. Here is today's offering, with and without furry gilet! Freezing as always at work so I layered up again. I find myself wearing the lace vest under jumpers more and more atm. I'm a classic pear shape and not a huge fan of the top of my thighs so it covers the worst!

Gilet - Mint Velvet
Jumper - Superdry
Trousers -Warehouse
Scarf - don't know
Boots - Rocket Dog
