Funnily enough in the designer bit of the SA yesterday there was a perfect pair of jeans for about £23 - too small for me and I thought of you!

Shannith · 11/10/2020 20:27

Sorry that was for @Lobsterquadrille2

Lobsterquadrille2 · 11/10/2020 20:28

I'm in Tunbridge Wells and there's a designer bit in one of our charity shops, but it's all pretty expensive. Thank you for the thought! My eBay Levi's should arrive this week.

Sickoffamilydrama · 11/10/2020 22:01

The beaten up bags is a good tip @Shannith my aunt is a charity shop hunter to.

Dsis in law used to work in one of the hospice charity shops and the manager was terrible he used to throw away bags of donation without looking at them she used to grab them back out and often find decent stuff. I don't donate to them since.
I will to our local British Heart Foundation as I've actually seen my donations in the local shop so know they hopefully don't do the same.

OublietteBravo · 12/10/2020 08:06

Good morning! I’m already struggling with motivation this week. I’m really missing the office - it’s definitely not good for me to be spending all day every day at home.

Shannith - excellent charity shop haul
@Terralee lovely specs 🤓
I'm hoping that some cords I ordered from whistles will be arriving today. I have my heart set on some cords this winter, if these are no good I've seen some I like in Toast and Poetry as well.

Currently in my pyjamas as I'm working from home. Have really bad period pain and bloating so I will be staying in them for as long as possible!

OublietteBravo · 12/10/2020 08:42

I received these which I was hoping might be my winter cords. But I think they’re just too short in the leg and will have to be returned.

Softpebbles · 12/10/2020 08:53

Morning ladies

You are looking more back to normal @Sooverthemill. Hope you are feeling brighter too.

@OublietteBravo I hear you on the work front. I’m hating being at home all of the time. I am popping to the office today to do some filing as my cupboard at home only has so much space!

Today
Dress top shop
Top M and S, I like it as it’s not too thick so good for temperature fluctuations 🙈

Stay comfortable @Ellapaella I suffer(ed) terribly so you have my sympathy.

Softpebbles · 12/10/2020 08:54

Oops picture.

No picture yesterday as was in old gardening clothes planting bulbs and pulling out the tomato plants. Forgot to say, DS got a negative Covid test on Friday (although hopefully that went without saying as I was out fence judging on Saturday!) which was a big relief. He's now absolutely fine but passed his cold on to me, although no temp or cough for me, just bunged up and feeling a bit run down.

Happy clothes today, so I got my boob trousers back out again.

Jumper - H&M
Trousers - Lucy & Yak

@toastfiend ooh you look so warm and cosy! Love your jumper.
@Softpebbles love your tunic dress, is it corduroy? I have a thing about corduroy at the moment and would have loved to have seen @OublietteBravo dungarees, they are gorgeous! Shame they are too short.

Good news about your Ds @toastfiend 👍

I may win the prize for least stylish today. I have made it out of my pyjamas and into comfy joggers, THE most unstylish but warmest ever slipper socks from Falke, cosy Jumper from Toast and my fingerless cashmere gloves from Turtledoves. Dressed for warmth and coziness today, I have a hot water bottle on my belly.

Loving the warm outfits. I'm not sure if I look like a fortune teller in this outfit especially as I have dark curly hair.
Got cold so wearing a wrap I love the pink one but can never get it to sit right see the picture it also needs ironing every time I get it out so gone for the black will wear over the top of a purple leather jacket if I go collect DD.
Throw Debenhams

Thanks for the tips @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie - I think I need a trying on session!

I'm totally with everyone saying they're struggling with working from home. In many ways I love it, but on days when I'm not feeling motivated (today!) it would be so much easier if I was in the office with other people. I think half the week in the office and half at home would be my ideal.

Love your cord dress @Softpebbles - I have one in a similar colour from Dorothy Perkins last year, I always wear it with black but yours looks lovely with the burgundy tones, I'm off to see if I have anything similar Smile

No photo today - I'm wearing old joggers and a superdry hoodie, comfy, cosy, but definitely not stylish! However I have just had a delivery of a gorgeous & other stories cardigan - it's this years version of the dinosaur button one I think - it has bees instead of dinosaurs. I dithered and dithered last year over the dinosaur one and regretted not getting it so bought this as soon as I saw it. It's soooo lovely, cosy and soft and I love it! I've never bought from & other stories before so I'm really pleased.

Softpebbles · 12/10/2020 15:15

@Ellapaella and @PalacePaper it’s just denim from topshop last year. I do like it. Have got my docs on with it and feel quite nice.

Such elligance 😁 @Sickoffamilydrama

@Ellapaella I’ve got to say it but do you have slippers on over your socks or are they one thing. Look the weirdest and cutest thing, like little elf slippers! 😊

Was going to go for walk after work but it’s now tipping it down 👎🏻

CleverCatty · 12/10/2020 15:33

No pic - but this sweatshirt - got it in black too - so comfy and so warm.

Shannith · 12/10/2020 15:38

@Sooverthemill Jigsaw camis all the way for me. I love a good cami and these best by miles and last well.

@Ellapaella you have my sympathies. One good thing to have come out of my menopause I suppose.

@toastfiend good news on the test and I always love the boob trousers.

@PalacePaper and @obliettebravo I've worked from home since way before lockdown and I really miss the banter for want of a better word and just bouncing ideas around. Hal FB and had which did for about 3 years is ideal. Hopefully you'll be able to get back to that soonish.

Today the completely feral and untouchable foster cat that accidentally stayed has had a personality transplant and is sitting on me purring so I'm not getting much done. I'd like to think she's seen the light and loves the person who's been feeding her for 6 months but I suspect it's my new heated throw.

Incidentally, it's the best thing I've ever bought. My house old and wonky and has too much glass to heat easily. It's amazing!

Blimey. Half and half.

Shannith · 12/10/2020 15:40

@PalacePaper need to see the new bee jumper!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/10/2020 16:07

Another rec for Jigsaw camis. They are brilliant, but don't have wide straps. Wash well, hold their shape, come in a lovely range of colours and are really soft and comfortable to wear.

I recommend the longer, slip version too - I use mine as a nightdress, as well as a slip.
