@Sickoffamilydrama I like that tartan jacket - I hope your meeting went well!

Ooh @Justonedayatatime11 a Mulberry bag! I really want one and that is gorgeous. No wonder you feel grown up!

Your kitchen is looking great, @Sooverthemill; I love the worktops. Also love yesterday's shirt.

@Terralee cool aviator jacket! And @Softpebbles the broderie anglaise top is lovely, but weren't you cold?!

@Shannith that coat is beautiful. Is it lined?

@Ellapaella you looked very cosy yesterday; are you feeling any warmer today? Also I tried to return a pair of Levi's and asked for an exchange on the form but they just refunded me and never sent a replacement...

@Talisin love that outfit, it's very 80s in a good way!

itssquidstella · 14/10/2020 07:25

I need to keep up with the thread better - I'm sure there are people/outfits I’ve missed!

Here's today's work outfit. Jumper is Jack Wills; silk shirt is John Lewis and trousers are Cos (cropped on me but not sure they should be!).

Testing my colleagues theory that it's warmer in a skirt and tights than trousers - we'll see!

Love that @dauphinois 😍

OublietteBravo · 14/10/2020 08:29

@Sooverthemill - I’m pleased to hear that you are feeling better. I’d definitely rather be my current weight than end up losing weight by being ill.

@Ellapaella - I like the dungarees. If they were either £20 cheaper or 2” longer then I’d almost certainly keep them. But they aren’t, so they are going back.

I look like I’m all in black - but only because the light is so bad (I really must sort out a better positioned mirror). The close up shows the pattern of the velvet trousers.

Jumper: Hush
Trousers: Hobbs
Boots: Doc Martens

@itssquidstella I'm fine now thanks - I only work from home on a Monday and have been trying to refrain from putting the heating on when it's only me in the house so layers and woolly jumpers are the name of the game! Also very hormonal this week and not been feeling so great. I'm off today so a brisk walk in the sunshine and some yoga practice will hopefully put me right.
Not dressed yet but planning on wearing the M&S dress again, we are now allowed to meet friends outdoors again here now so meeting a friend on the beach in an outdoor cafe for coffee this afternoon. May have cake 🧁

Stella you look very chic
@Dauphinois I love that mirror! (And your outfit). Where is the mirror from?

Wow so much talk.

@itssquidstella had my Barbour parka over the top so I was toastie! Love your jumper and blouse combination.

@OublietteBravo

Love your outfit @Dauphinois

@Sooverthemill those jeans look great. Which ones are they. I ordered some and they came and they were huge. I did how ever manage to snag a bargain on eBay as my favourite really old next relaxed skinnies have about given up on me and I’ve managed to get a pair on eBay for £5. They have the same label a hoping they are amazing. The last few years have never been the same fit. Also ordered some mom jeans from eBay m and s ones.
eBay shopping doesn’t break the no some rule right?! 🤦‍♀️

Dark colours can be a nightmare to picture can’t they.

I have perhaps missed loads - sorry!

My outfit today is not post worthy. Levi’s and jack wills hoody.

Sickoffamilydrama · 14/10/2020 11:01

Those jeans are nice @Sooverthemill. If it's all fluffy and sheds then maybe I'll leave the bee cardigan @PalacePaper is it really bad or just a little?

Bad photo today but took it in a rush.

@Dauphinois love your gilet! & @Sickoffamilydrama your yellow dress is nice

Sooverthemill · 14/10/2020 11:33

@Softpebbles thank you, great eBay bargains! They are actually 501 skinny ( I got confused because I also have the wedgie). So modern women's fit Levi’s. I got from eBay in case they weren't any good as Levi can be pricey. People say size down but I didn't and they are great

Dauphinois · 14/10/2020 12:51

@Ellapaella the mirror is this one I think.... www.melodymaison.co.uk/tall-champagne-gold-wall-mirror-47cm-x-142cm.html

It was definitely from that website anyway.

Stumpedasatree · 14/10/2020 13:19

@OublietteBravo, @Ellapaella, @Softpebbles, please can I ask which Docs you have? Considering buying some for the winter and all of yours look lovely. Ideally I'd like a pair with a zip down the side for easy putting on and taking off - not sure if they even do a style like that though!

Softpebbles · 14/10/2020 13:30

Hi @Stumpedasatree I have 1460 in cherry. Lace ups and not too bad to take on and off. I also have 2676(?) black patent Chelsea boots, these still sometimes rub but my other have been ok for the short times I have worn them.

I recently sold my Chelsea boots with zips as I had bought half a size bigger and they were way to big. 😊

Stumpedasatree · 14/10/2020 13:49

Thank you Softpebbles! Love the colour of those.

Bubbletrouble43 · 14/10/2020 13:53

Superdry dark green joggers and my beloved 10 year old benetton jumper my most favourite thin jumper ever though it has a small hole in now and that's made me sad. Its a pale oatmeal colour with a front pocket and drapes gorgeously. It's a tad off the shoulder so I have a khaki vest top underneath. I love green. It's an at home with the kids days so comfort rules.

OublietteBravo · 14/10/2020 13:58

@Stumpedasatree - I have these ones. So essentially 1460 (no zip).

Ellapaella · 14/10/2020 13:59

@Stumpedasatree I have these ones, the Pascal were way too narrow for me. Don't buy directly from Dr Martens, customer service is absolutely dreadful and the returns process takes weeks. I would buy via Schuh or Office

In the end I wore my Hush skirt and MV boots. Allsaints leather jacket when I went out. I love this skirt but am always a bit frightened it's going to get ripped as it's quite fragile.

Lovely outfit @Ellapaella

I am trying to do a packing list for a week away next week. Out doorsy. We have a cottage. If Boris is cancelling I wish he would sooner rather than later. We are just planning walks and games and chilling out so hopefully no more of a risk than being at home, probably less as the DC won’t be at school.

Shannith · 14/10/2020 18:50

@Sooverthemill I actually really like the jeans rolled up. A couple of years ago I lost over a stone in a month through illness. Horrible and scary at the time but I had great fun putting it back on. Took a while to wean myself off clotted cream.

@Ellapaella I absolutely love that skirt.

@Softpebbles I'm waiting to see what Boris does next too. I have a riding holiday booked with DD for the second week of half term but trying to move it to the first if I can. Wales and fairly hardcore (6 hours riding a day) so will need all my waterproofs and no regard for style at all.

Today's outfit was the school run - literally. 12 mins through the woods.

Hoodie - Nike via £1 rail
Running leggings - ditto
Trainers ASICS

Softpebbles · 14/10/2020 18:58

@Shannith where about’s in the country are you to get two weeks.

My DC have different half terms. One one week, one gets two weeks!

itsmeagainagain · 14/10/2020 20:55

@Ellapaella

In the end I wore my Hush skirt and MV boots. Allsaints leather jacket when I went out. I love this skirt but am always a bit frightened it's going to get ripped as it's quite fragile.
@ellapaella I love your hat.... its very 'Queens Guard' or perhaps avant garde Grin
