Beautiful kitchen @Sooverthemill

I love your pink jumper @Ellapaella I hope you had a good day out. Hopefully if there are more restrictions they will be effective and not for too long. It's so hard though isn't it. We're due to go away the week after next for half term but to a county that's rumoured to be having some kind of lockdown so who knows if it will happen. I've started pre-warning the DC just in case...

I really like your red top @Softpebbles

Met a friend for coffee today which was so lovely. I wore Uniqlo jumper, skirt from oasis and new balance trainers.

Hope everyone who's feeling under the weather gets well soon.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie ha! He’s one of our three. Here’s another being where she shouldn’t be

@Sooverthemill love the kitt in the kitchen cupboard!

Shannith · 11/10/2020 00:30

Some great outfits. Will catch up tomorrow. Another epic £1 rail bargain hunt today with a few excellent bits and one fail.

Also spent a whooping £25 in the designer bit of a charity shop for quite possibly the cosiest thick knitted hoody by free people- which may be my favourite top ever! Will take some photos tomorrow

PalacePaper · 11/10/2020 08:25

It's a lovely skirt isn't it @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

What footwear do you wear with yours? I always struggle with which shoes/boots and coat to wear with it, so don't wear it as often as I'd like. I probably overthink it!

Sooverthemill · 11/10/2020 09:25

I am dressed in proper clothes, bra too and I washed my hair. I must be getting better

It’s really sunny but cold here.
Jumper:sezane
Jeans: Paige via eBay

@Terralee that jacket is lovely. I bet it's so cosy!

@Softpebbles the docs look amazing with the jeans. Such a good buy.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I hope you are feeling better.

@Justonedayatatime11 bag heaven. I have 2 mulberry's which I used as everyday bags for ages and managed to completely trash. They live on reproachfully at the bottom of my wardrobe as a reminder to treat nice things better.

Everything I'm wearing in the pictures are recent £1 sale rail finds in a local charity shop. Everything else is also charity - boots and free people wool hoody were the princely sums of £7 and £25 respectively.

Green geo patterned top - Bershka. It's polyester but thick and actually feels better quality than most of the Jigsaw stuff I recently sent back
Jeans - H&M
Boots - don't know, Spanish? Very 70s
Polo - esprit (so warm and snuggly) I don't normally like polo necks as they give me (everyone? mono boobs but this is so cheerful
Coat - Zara (I have a Jigsaw one that is extremely similar and cost 300x more!)
Pink leather gloves - don't know but impossible not to smile when wearing them

Wool hoody - Free People. It's like wearing a hug and I'm not sure I'm going to take it off before spring

Skirt - gap
Top - next
Necklace - don't know
I even went out last night to a friends house who has a fire pit and wore skirt/grey top/hoody/fur-lined boots and lots of blankets.

Palace
I tend to wear it with opaques and ankle boots, or big holed fishnets and white Stan Smiths. I've got a Hush khaki jacket that I wear with it, and a grey jersey biker thing, or a wool winter coat when it's colder.

I've actually left the house today, and worn something other than pyjamas.

Black ribbed jumper
Black dungarees
Hush khaki jacket
White Stans
Leopard print scarf

Terralee · 11/10/2020 17:22

@Shannith yes it's a very cosy jacket!

I like your gap skirt with the cable jumper.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/10/2020 17:23

Thanks for the well wishes, and hope everybody else is feeling better too. It's definitely the season for nasty germs.

Terralee · 11/10/2020 17:27

These are my new glasses, frames by Lipsy & varifocal lenses by Vision Express at Tesco.
I'm slowly getting used to the varifocals!
I tried on plastic frames which I originally wanted but they didn't look right on me, too heavy, as I'm quite pale with smaller features.

Sooverthemill · 11/10/2020 19:18

@Terralee fab glasses! I ordered new variofocals a few weeks ago and they came in last week but there's no way I can pick them up yet. Maybe Saturday. I struggled to choose as I have a very narrow face And bridge (who knew?) and the choice wasn't huge. I've worn these lenses now for around 15 years and I really recommend them. DH has them too but he also now has occupational lenses because he is glued to his laptop 10 hours a day (nhs management wfh). Luckily work will pay towards them. I've had my old pair made up as spare with free lenses thank god.

Sickoffamilydrama · 11/10/2020 20:01

Great glasses @Terralee I had to stop wearing contacts as my eyes got worse about 8 years ago and my glasses have steadily got bolder the more I've got used to wearing them all the time. Got a Navy pair and a red pair at the moment.

No actual clothes pics today been on tracksuit bottoms and a fleece as replanting the garden for winter/autumn I always think I must wear gloves and everytime I try I have to take them off after 5 mins you could grow potatoes in my nails.

Meant to say great haul @Shannith where do you live that has these designer bargains our charity shops of which there is many sometimes over price things IMO and not much designer even though I'm in a fairly affluent area.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/10/2020 20:21

Excellent specs.

Shannith · 11/10/2020 20:21

@Terralee thank you - love the glasses.

@Sickoffamilydrama I'm in a Surrey backwater. The nearest big town is East Grinsted or Oxted. Quite a few of the local ones fall into the nice stuff but overpriced range, but there are some gems. Generally the local non chain ones are better.

I've developed a bit of a charity shop eye over the last few years. The EG Salvation Army has the designer stuff at the rear bit of the shop and the. Ritual Heart Foundation has a constraint lay updated £1 rail.

When it comes to tops I will buy tops from an 8-14 as they can be tucked in/stretched at will and at £1 a go mistakes are cheap and I just donate them back.

I take my time looking and don't expect to find anything, it's harder to find stuff than in normal shops (obviously) but it's become a bit of a hobby.

I always check beaten up looking up bags to see if they are real leather. I revitalised a £300 the bridge bag I got for £3 with a bit of saddle soap and very amateurish cleaning. It's in no way worth £300, nor does it look brand new, but looks much better than £3. And it smells lovely. Found it behind a load of rubbish bog standard bags.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 11/10/2020 20:21

@Shannith some of these are amazing!!! People always claim that charity shops where I live have some great bargains .... I have never found any clothes-wise although I am very fond of the four for a pound book bargains at one of our Hospices shops. Is it luck, patience or you know where and when to hunt?

Shannith · 11/10/2020 20:22

British Heart foundation. Ritual Heart foundation sounds rather sinister!

Lobsterquadrille2 · 11/10/2020 20:22

Cross posted - I'm not a million miles away.
