I like the shape of that dress on you @Greyhairwarmheart whilst I was waiting for the youngest child to drift off this evening I had a try at dressing this dress for winter it has a very pretty hem but I'm not sure if this looks to loose.

I decided that I’d wear another dress. But this time with a bit more colour.

It’s December. It’s been a crap year. For the rest of the month I shall only be wearing things that sparkle, shimmer, shine and even possibly light up.

Dungarees: Lucy & Yak (these are my favourites)

I lost quite a bit of weight when I got Covid last month & now my baggy dungarees are now quite oversized. I don’t want to buy new (a lot of the colours/styles wouldn’t be available anyway). It’s annoying.

@Talisin I searched high and low for my sparkly sweatshirt this morning and I cannot work out where I put it! I applaud your attitude
@happytobemrsg that sucks. I lost loads when I was ill recently but luckily but luckily it simply offset lockdown weight gain so things feel much more comfortable. If your weight stays the same you could maybe have things altered? We have a local lady who is very reasonable,

Back in my own dungarees again today. I've just bought a second pair of these in mustard and I can't wait for them to arrive!

Well done for putting a bit of sparkle in our lives @Talisin! Much needed at the moment. Some very cheerful dungarees too and great skirt and top @Sickoffamilydrama. Love those jeans and shirt @Sooverthemill. Definitely cold enough for a cardigan here today. This pinafore from Whistles is a bit short and tight so I'm undecided whether to return it to the charity shop. You can't see the fabric in the photo its tweedy. Cardi Hobbs

@Softpebbles that's a shame, but it was the Evie straight cropped trousers I had. They were actually really good but I just don't have any opportunity to wear them or I'd have kept. I've only been out once this year apart from medical appointments and I can't see that changing any time soon!

I love the sparkle @Talisin - but it’s making me wish I had a sequin skirt. (I do not need any more clothes)!

I’m working through the dresses in my wardrobe this week. I don’t think I’ve worn this once since last winter. I’m struggling with footwear - my first 3 choices are all inaccessible (in the cupboard in my office).

It seems the vaccination news was leaked so had to be announced early today , DHs NHS management colleagues are running around trying to sort out the logistics at this very minute. He's just come down to ask me to bring him drinks and snacks as he won't be able to leave his desk all day!
Been trying to book a Sainsbury's xmas slot for hours ( a minute past midnight for an hour then from 6) . All went instantly. Bugger. It's a long drive to the nearest one....

I’m less than 10 miles from the office. I’m not allowed on site. Only the labs and the pilot plant are open - no one is allowed into the offices without written permission from the General Manager for UK & Ireland.

Oh that sucks, @OublietteBravo. I guess shoes are a minor inconvenience though in the grand scheme of things

I look a bit like Beetlejuice in it! My hair was out of control yesterday, too, which didn't help the overall vibe. It's never grown back 'properly' since I had DS and I have a permanent Mum fringe. These mad wispy bits that stick up like a cloud so I always look scruffy. It's so frustrating and my hair is really fine so they get quite long and still stick up so I look like a cockatoo. I caught sight of myself on a Zoom call yesterday and I just looked like if been dragged through a hedge backwards, despite my best efforts to look smart. 🤦‍♀️If anyone has any tips then I'll very gratefully receive them. I'm considering investing heavily in hats and headbands, despite the fact neither suit me.

@Sickoffamilydrama lovely skirt. I’d go for thicker tights and chunky boots.

So my sweaty Betty tops arrived and both the longer fleece and another one I ordered have gone back. Both huge and just really thin, no way the same quality as the shorter grey one that I have. I also returned my white stuff jumper as although nice it did nothing for me at all. Whether it was the colour or the fit I don’t know but it was mehh so it went back.

I wanted a nice jumper but I don’t exactly need one so I think I shall wait until I can get to the shops. Everything has been returned 🤦‍♀️
