Doesn’t look too tight at all. Nice autumn dress!

HyggeHeart · 04/10/2020 09:04

I like it!

MoltonSilver · 04/10/2020 09:27

It fits fine but I think it's a bit busy. Between the pattern, the frills and the neckline, there's a lot going on in that dress. You have a lovely figure but the dress is overshadowing it.

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 09:35

Thanks for all the comments it's reassuring to know. I guess I'm paranoid and I don't feel my figure is that great as I'm 5"2 and 10 stone 10 !!! ConfusedShock

I think you look lovely OP Smile

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 09:48

Thank u and to the person who said it looks busy it's gonna look busier later as I have mr usual necklace and as I'm going out today I have a second longer one to add lol. I'll update a photo in a bit before I go out

The frills etc don't do anyone any favours, I'm afraid, in my opinion. Especially is you are short. I am shorter btw so not being critical.

ittooshallpass · 04/10/2020 10:03

You have a lovely figure, but I think those high neck, frilly dresses only suit those with a boyish figure. With your figure I'd go with something with a v-neck and no fuss.

QuentinQuarantino · 04/10/2020 10:08

As a fellow short curvy person, I don't think high neck, ruffles and busy pattern ever do our body shapes any favours. Too matronly.

V neck floral tea dresses are my go to on A/W with tights and DMs. The lower neckline makes all the difference to the proportions.

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 10:39

I have ordered another dress I love which is far less frilly it's this one. Although still keeping and wearing the frilly one but this second one might be a better style in future

Not tight at all. I think it would look great with a wide belt in a dark colour

LeGrandBleu · 04/10/2020 10:46

I am French, does this give my review extra value?
Honestly, it is nice and you look lovely.

Jellykins09 · 04/10/2020 10:46

Sorry op, not keen. A PP have said, these kind of dresses look more elegant on all, boyish figures, its a little bit too fussy and frilly imo, and isn't doing much for you.
I mean I wouldnt look at you and think you looked awful, but I think there will be better styles for you.
Prehaps a dress that doesn't cover you up so much? Ie, short or cap sleeves, a lower neckline?
Could still do the kind of lovely vintage look you are going for, but just a different style dress.

Jellykins09 · 04/10/2020 10:47

peachypetite · 04/10/2020 10:47

I think it’s frumpy sorry, agree with the previous comments about too much going on and high neck unflattering.

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 10:48

What do ppl think of the second dress I posted

OP posts:
battlestargalactica · 04/10/2020 10:51

i think the first one is a definite look, and you clearly have the confidence to pull it off :) pulling all your hair up would instantly cut into the fussiness others are bothered about.

peachypetite · 04/10/2020 10:52

Second one hard to comment since it’s being worn by a model, not you.

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 11:05

What do ppl think of these 2, the blue one I wear all the time.

Interested to hear what ppl think of my style now and if I can or need to make any adjustments

I like the blue dotty one. Flattering, nice clean lines, well fitting.

Not keen on the white one as it looks a bit like a nightie.

Not sure about the initial brown patterned one, I think it’s too frilly and high necked to show off your figure. Dresses that gather up under the bust then fall into ruffles and pleats can look a bit like mat dresses unless you have a very boyish figure.

Blondiney · 04/10/2020 11:12

I like the blue one best. Like the way you've styled it with the sneakers.

The first dress is a bit Laura Ingalls Wilder for me but the autumnal colours look nice on you.

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 11:16

What do ppl think of this black one as its another favourite

I dont think the first dress suits you. Like others have said its the high neckline, busy pattern and frills. I don't think the colour is right for you either. But, to be fair, I don't think that dress would suit most women!

The blue dress really suits you, the colour is better for your colouring and the low cut neckline is more flattering.
