Thanks for all the latest responses. I do like that Boden dress but not keen on the bow I wonder can it be taken off

So do ppl generally think blue black is my colour? I do wear a lot of navy blue I love that colour it's my fav but Cos I wear it so often I thought maybe I should inject a bit of colour hence the pink one and the other pink one I've ordered which I will post a photo of soon once it arrives

Blue dotty with the baby as an accessory! @LeGrandBleu i think your opinion is just as valid as everyones

RattleOfBars · 04/10/2020 18:16

I like the black one as well as the blue one. You could wear both with flat ankle boots and a cropped cardigan for autumn/winter?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 18:17

Your hair looks to be a warm brunette. You'll likely look fab in blues and greens generally. I reckon youd look lovely in a rich teal or bottle green. Perhaps also purple jewel colours - maroon, aubergine etc.

In general, the wrap shapes suit you but people are right that the white one is evil and would suit no one Grin

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 18:19

And like others, I 100% recommend a flat or chucky heel ankle boot, or a knee high boot with dresses for autumn/winter. Some heeled ones are super comfy and I live in mine

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 18:30

Can someone please recommend me some flat boots maybe from next website?

Absolutely no to navy tights with the first dress!

Grapefruitcauliflower · 04/10/2020 20:37

Agree that the blue spotty dress is by far the best look - the shape really suits your figure (which is great btw!) I personally can’t bear that style of dress with a high-neck and ruffles - IMO they manage to look both matronly and cheap (not a reflection on you at all - they look universally awful... I’m 5,9 and a flat-cheated size 8 and they look utterly shit on me!) Stick with clean lines and natural fabrics. Also colours: the blue suits you far more than the pinks/browns/greys. I found it really helpful having my colours done (made me ditch beige/khaki and wear more jewel tones, which make me look infinitely more alive!)

Can I also add that I’m super impressed you’re even wearing dresses with a baby and toddler in tow - I was either in a stained hoodie or PJs at that stage. Kudos!

Grapefruitcauliflower · 04/10/2020 20:38

Also: IMO the chelsea boots are way better than the chunky ones, which will date very quickly.

Msgiggles30 · 04/10/2020 20:46

Can I ask what age range you are OP? You look a similar age to myself but have to say that the white dress is aging. The blue and black suit you. Have you thought about skater style dresses with tights along with the tea dress style?

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 20:49

@Msgiggles30 how old are u? Or how old do I look?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 20:52

I like the Chelsea boots. These are the kinds I'd wear all autumn/winter www.next.co.uk/g81180s2/203313#203313

Starsaboveus · 04/10/2020 20:56

You look fab!! Xxx

shinynewapple2020 · 04/10/2020 21:06

Agree with everyone else that the blue and black dresses look really nice and would look good with thick black tights , ankle boots and a short cardi or jacket in the Autumn / Winter .

I also think that the first dress you are wearing would look better styled with tights , boots and a jacket as this will tone down the frillyness.

Msgiggles30 · 04/10/2020 21:11

@HP2020 I am early 30s x

HP2020 · 04/10/2020 21:41

@Msgiggles30 ok so that's a compliment to me then as I'm 36 and will be 37 in feb

Opinions on the pink dress that came today please

Don’t like the see through arms, and you can see your bra through it which makes the material look cheap. Also, it’s a very summery colour so wouldn’t look right with tights. You have a nice figure but these ruffly busy dresses aren’t doing you any favours.

Dasboot · 06/10/2020 14:42

I like the blue and the black but not the brown ruffly, the white or the pink ones. The brown ruffle one fits ok but the neckline and shoulders cut you up rather than give the illusion of length. I’m shorter than you and while high neck tops with trousers or jeans seem flattering, in dresses they make me look shorter than I already am.

LadyIronDragon · 06/10/2020 14:45

I think you suit a v neck best. What about a crossover style? They are flattering on most shapes, very comfortable and can be dressed up or down. A few examples in the photos.

And another. I think the jersey type material is better for every day wear than floaty material
