Same. I moved it back to 21.

Glad I've found this thread as I'd been toying with asking DP to buy me a calendar for my birthday which is coming up, I've never had one before but these threads have persuaded me to get him to order Look fantastic today, I can't wait! Also love the idea of 'Jadvent', I'm a tax advisor so January is a hell-ish month for me so now considering buying H&B for myself for January just to make it that bit brighter, I could even use it as a countdown to the dreaded January 31st

I've got LF and H&B too Carole I'm thinking of opening H&B in December and LF in January or from 26 December but not sure

Re H&B I'm thinking we would find it early if it's in 11 so it's a bit annoying either way!

It's obviously a design flaw if they have all done that

Just bought 2 Arran calendars one for me and one for my mum. Wasn't going to get one this year, plastic waste and all that, but it's so miserable at the moment I've decided I can justify it.

@carolebaskinfedhimtothetigers Jump on board with Jadvent! I love doing it as the new year feels like such a grind. Although you will be left adrift for the last week of the month!

Aldi cleverly spotted a gap in the market last year and did a week-long calendar for the Boxing Day to New Year period with Lacura products in. It was pretty good! I probably wouldn't get it again this year as I've got quite a few Lacura things to work through and I would expect to get repeats, but it was a decent shout for anyone looking for something to round December off.

I like the advent calendar idea so much because I like to be able to make all of December feel nice. It's about the anticipation for me, and while
Christmas Day itself is good it also involves a lot of work, and present opening for adults (often mums) can get lost among that. So anything that makes for feeling festive all month, and January too, is good in my book. Plus this year the plastic will be dwarfed by the amount of PPE being binned.

I think the advent calendars might do well this year as people want something to look forward to and you could easily save that money on what you might have spent on a Christmas night out

Net-a-porter appears as sold out already. I am shocked to be honest, I read the content few times and didn't see the appeal.

I always buy the M&S one so am gutted they're not doing it this year. Which of the cheaper ones (around £80) would people recommend the most? Feel Unique, ASOS, You, Amazon? I'm going round in circles and can't make up my mind! The Look Fantastic one looks great but already sold out

Many of us have ordered the Holland & Barrett one in place of the M&S. I've ordered that one and LF.

I got M&S for two years but I'm not that gutted they're not doing it this year as it was quite similar the two years I got it.

Next is worth having a look at as M&S alternative

@DillieDoily - I was debating between Look Fantastic and Birch box so if you like the LF one, maybe the birch box one? I got the LF in the end as it suited me better.
