Beauty Advent Calendars 2020 - Part 2

Best time of the beauty year.

Last year I got the space nk one and the cult beauty one. I used a lot but ended up giving a lot of the makeup from both away as they didn’t suit my darker skin. It was a shame but I did make use of most of the skincare. The CB one was the winner for me, plus I didn’t like the look of the SNK one aesthetically, the book volumes didn’t look festive at all! And the same this year.
I might get the SNK one if it’s still in stock and they do another GWP later on in the year but I’m not bothered enough to buy it just for the contents of that alone as I can already see stuff in there that I won’t use. And that bloody Augustinus Bader cream just sits too heavily on my skin - I hate that it’s in everything

Just checking in. I’ve got Fortnums H&B Look Fantastic and Lumene. I’ll probably open two in Dec and two in jan

I am bloody devastated that there is no M&S calendar this year!!

What on earth is that all about?

It’s been such a rotten year that I’m thinking of buying a third and opening it from 8th Nov onwards. Or the HN GWP if it’s still available

Someone on the last thread mentioned a M&S beauty box in Dec...does anyone have any more info on that? I think I will probably get that rather than another calendar

I always get the summer one but I really love the whole thing of getting out of bed on a dark morning throughout December and getting a little present each day for my trouble

I might get the Body Shop one instead.

I am disappointed from Elle this year. It was my favourite 2 years in row.

I ordered Space NK but I am really tempted by Cult Beauty too

I used to be a bit bored by it but it's been a while since I shopped there and they have lots now that I haven't tried

I'm tempted by the £70 one as the cheapest one doesn't seem great and the £150 seems like a lot for BS

Has anyone tried the Fenwick's one? I was tempted last year but ending up splurging on Liberty, which was great but I didn't really use most of the beauty bits. Really not sure this year as I'm barely leaving the house so don't know if it's worth getting lots of beauty products.

I collected the Holland and Barrett one yesterday. It's for my daughter but I'm feeling great envy.

Why have M&S not done an advent this year.......😢 I was really looking forward to something at the end of this shitty year.

I quite like the look of the YesStyle one...all full size. I have never used Korean beauty products but might give them a try.

I have gone for the Holland & Barrett but I was also tempted by the Look Fantastic, Nuxe and Rituals as well as the higher end calendars.

I have bodyshop calendar. I planning to share with dd8 who likes lip palms etc. I also have H&B and Origins one. I use mainly Origins products, and this calendar is going to be my Xmas present. H&B I got because everyone talked about last years one. It's going to be my main one.

Joining on from last thread. I have Look Fantastic for Dec and Birchbox for Jadvent. Would like another as I had two last year for Dec. Curse you M&S! The beauty box looks like it's all the stuff I'm not bothered by so won't get that.

Not quite feeling it for any particular one yet. I'm trying to hold out till Black Friday offers start. Amazon Prime day is 13-14 so I wonder if they'll discount their own calendar then. I prefer multi brand calendars.

Has anyone received the Lookfantastic one yet?

I suggested to DH that he might want to buy me the LF calendar and if he just gives me his card then I'll buy it. He gave it to me in "if it'll shut you up" kind of way but I know he thinks an £85 advent calendar is outrageous.

He doesn't often treat me though.

I have the Lumene calendar, have ordered the Lookfantastic one and I also have the Elemis one on its way to me.

I wasn’t going to get a third but I was ordered to spend the money on myself and I don’t need/ want anything else. I was tempted by Liberty/ Space NK/ Cult Beauty as I’ve never had a luxury one but there were too many items in each that I wouldn’t use. Whereas I love skincare and the Elemis products that I’ve tried so I’m looking forward to trying more of their products.

I’ll start opening the Elemis one straight away I think, use the Lookfantastic as my advent calendar and then maybe open the Lumene in January.

I'm thinking Holland & Barrett for December and Look Fantastic for January as I think I'd rather have two months of calendars then open two each day in December...

I haven't received my Look Fantastic one yet. @LoveEatYoga I agree, so my current two will be one for advent and one for Jan, but if I do pick up a third it will be extra for advent..

I liked the price of the M&S one.
