Almost ditched a primer today. Max factor one. But kept it. It’s ok. Probably about 10 uses left? Will
Persevere.

Crazybunnylady123 · 31/01/2021 08:57

Used up this month:-
Some handmade body butter from Etsy
Dr organics honey foot cream
4 lush bath bombs
Some samples from my pure (4 sachets)
Dr organics rose peel off mask
Salt of the earth deodorant
But I loved one of the samples and bought the product. 🤷‍♀️

Experiment627 · 31/01/2021 09:37

@QueenPawPaws well done with the makeup! I am trying to make more of an effort too - I will try the Instagram tutorial you mention!

@Crazybunnylady123 which sample did you love? 🧐

I used up a HG today. A cheapie but a goodie: L'Oréal Pure Clay Blemish Rescue Face Mask. I don't know what sorcery is involved but I will continue to RP the hell out of it. Gives the wow factor after just one use. This is my second jar.

ememem84 · 31/01/2021 12:17

Redken all soft oil gone. I think I bought this in 2017. It’s amazing stuff will definitely repurchase buy have a few other things to use up first.

I used literally three pumps on my med/long v thick hair and it helped massively with the frizz.

I only wash my hair twice a week hence why it’s taken so long to finish. 90ml size.

Crazybunnylady123 · 31/01/2021 13:02

@Experiment627

It was a multipurpose vitamin mask by Mossa.
You can use it as a face mask or night cream.
I whacked it on as a face mask and it really helped! I’m struggling post baby to sort out my skin. My hair also really sucks at the moment good job the baby is so cute! Grin

Experiment627 · 31/01/2021 13:19

Ah @Crazybunnylady123 post baby skin is the pits!!!

I well and truly splurged this weekend. A REN haul has knocked me £84! Have wanted to try the Rose bath oil for a while, then picked up some of the alantic kelp body wash + body lotion and then a rose body polish. I really do enjoy bath and body products that feel a treat to use, it just makes me feel all nice and relaxedGrin

Empties-

  • Kora Organics facial oil sample sachet. I liked using it, skin felt and looked hydrated. Smell was nice enough. Wouldnt RP as a cheaper one would suffice..
  • Aveeno baby cream. Tiny bottle, used on legs after shaving.
  • Nivea Clay fresh shower gel. Hated this. Was drying on my skin, and suspect its flared a tiny spec of Eczema on my arm. I dont want clay in my body washes!
  • TBS Rose dewy glow face mist. The mist was quite full force in the face, along with the rose scent. Did make me look glowy though, and other than the strong mist, it was fine. Bought the Heritage Store rosewater mist, which i preferSmile
ememem84 · 31/01/2021 19:28

Oh balls. I slipped. On feel unique. And have a spend of £106. Oops. For that I got more redken oil (I know I know...) two mascaras clarins lip oil and a free gift (worth £100)

Costacoffeeplease · 31/01/2021 19:39

I have bought Cult51 neck and décolleté cream as I got it in the F&M calendar and really liked it, and am on my last tub of Prai so it will be two out, one in (plus all the other calendar empties over the last couple of months 😄)

AprilLady · 31/01/2021 21:22

Going to try to rejoin this thread and try to make February a no spend month as January was a complete failure in terms of stash reduction. Used up quite a bit, but failed to resist the sales...

So a pic of this week’s empties attached.

@Costacoffeeplease I also really liked the Cult 51 cream, did a lot more than I expected it to. Only complaint was that the dispenser didn’t work well, and I had to pretty much dismantle it to get the last third out.

The Elemis Apricot toner was nice.

Don’t get the fuss about the BS HA, no better than other HA products as far as I can tell.

The Benefits 24-hour brow setter is a HG product for me, and this is probably my fourth or fifth empty.

@Experiment627 I was very impressed with a range of Terracycle programmes! They have collection points for all sorts of packaging, including stationery, baby food pouches, dental care products, contact lenses, coffee pods, water filters, etc. Here's a link to the full list 😉

Experiment627 · 01/02/2021 04:46

Wow! @CherryMargo it looks like the church next to where I live accepts the baby pouches - amazing!!!!

Feb is a no spend month for me too. I almost managed january...!

TheChosenTwo · 01/02/2021 07:49

Oh I might try a no spend feb, just joining this thread at the right time!
I bought more than anticipated in January, still waiting for a delivery this week from Boots and SpaceNK but have managed to shift some empties over the last few weeks.
Sadly in the bin now so no pics for you but I’ll save them and show you when I’ve used something else up.

Experiment627 · 01/02/2021 15:05

Just to report some empties:

  • Garnier Ultimate Blends Maple Healer castor oil & maple sap intense repair balm: wow that is a lot to say hair mask. This was ok - not amazeballs.
  • Arnica recuperating bath milk: this was in the H&B advent - I really enjoyed using is and I adored the smell - will most likely repurchase at some point
  • Agua de naranjos de Sevilla EDT: adore this stuff - have held on to empty bottle for ages - have another one on the go. Very hard to come by - although most likely still sold in the El Corte Ingles in Spain
  • Windle & Moodie invisible day & night cream: what a disappointment. Did not like the smell, comes in a metal tube which has split. So to use up fast I put a shed load on dry hair, left for about 30 minutes and then washed out... vair expensive hair mask!!!
  • The Body Shop almond hand & nail manicure cream: adore the smell and this sinks in fast and is just a joy to use!

oopsie! Missed off two!

  • Superdrug Me+ niacinamide & zinc booster: really liked this... although my blackheads are still the bane of my life
  • Superdrug Me+ AHA fruit acid booster: again really liked this inexpensive AHA

@Caggie09 I seem to take the REN alantic kelp body wash with me every time I go to France (obviously not for ages now Sad)

I used to take BS Spa of the World Brittany but I think it's discontinued.

I don't have any empties to report but I did accidentally buy some hand creams from BS (various) and some Tamanu Balm from Tropic, which I really did need as had run out.

Oh I do have an empty, just realised! This Works Deep Sleep Body Cocoon hand and body cream. It was fine - but definitely not worth the money, £25 for 100ml. No better than BS or a multitude of other hand and body creams. Didn't even help me to sleep any better.

QueenPawPaws · 01/02/2021 19:12

I'm still on my no spend 😇 using up as much hair products, wax melts, body care, makeup as I can before buying anything
I had one small slip which was a nars foundation which was on my wish list, for £17 brand new

TheChosenTwo · 01/02/2021 23:07

I do have these empties from the last choke of days...
Love the Ren jelly cleanser, already have a backup of that and a half open one in the cupboard.
The Liz Earle mask was just a bit basic, I never buy LE myself, find it a lot of hot air these days.
Chantecaille mask was lovely after using a lot of actives, very nourishing.
Dislike the smell of the EH moringa cleansing balm so wouldn’t buy a big one, have several more of the small ones which I will give to my dds, they are less fussy than me 😂
And the vitage is actually a declutter as it’s all grainy and gross, didn’t like it to begin with but was sent it to try.

Costacoffeeplease · 02/02/2021 12:53

Lots of calendar empties. Loves the cult51 neck cream as I said upthread, and have re-purchased, my only January purchase!

I use elasticizer regularly, don’t like caudalie, have tried several of their products and find them all quite astringent. The lumene illuminator I’ve added into my foundation and I think it has improved it. Everything else is just ok

TheChosenTwo · 02/02/2021 16:43

Oh no, just realised I’ve broken my no buy on day 2! Bought the ASOS beauty box, such good value - 3 things I want to try and a few bits to pass on to my daughters Blush

lockdownalli · 02/02/2021 17:53

@TheChosenTwo I can't see that on the ASOS website, only the boys one Confused

Do you have a link?

TheChosenTwo · 02/02/2021 18:10

I think it’s sold out super quick, they always do.
I don’t often buy them as they usually don’t have much in them that I want but this one was really appealing to me.
Sorry, they tend to come and go in a matter of hours, I looked at it at about 11am, put it in my basket and then went to look at something else I needed and got a message pop up that there were less than 10 left so quickly pressed to buy it.

TheChosenTwo · 02/02/2021 18:13

I bought it for the lip oil, face spray and the mascara. Dd1 will have the highlighter brush and then blush, dd2 will have the moisturiser.
