Body shop vanilla pumpkin 30ml hand cream done. Dh helped with it. Moving onto winter jasmine next. 30ml.

Keep on using up.

Pomegranatespompom · 17/12/2020 06:56

I’ve got the Liberty advent calendar- had a few disappointing days. I do have a £40 loyalty voucher so might order something in the sales.
Enjoyed reading about new things and used things 😊

Ponks · 17/12/2020 08:03

A few recent empties:

  • Prai neck cream, I like this and may be just a gullible fool but I think it makes a difference, so will repurchase when I see a good offer.
  • Paula's Choice ceramide eye cream, again I like this and may repurchase, but I have a lot of eye creams to get through first. This has a nice thick creamy texture.
  • Boots Expert foaming face wash, lasted such a long time but I only use it now and then as I found Lancôme Miel en Mousse. I like to have a few different types of face wash for a second cleanse and just pick up anything. This did the job.
ememem84 · 17/12/2020 09:27

dove bar soap used up.

moving onto a mini body shop coconut shower gel and then some hotel freebee soaps. which have been hanging around for a while.

i also used up a bath bomb last night. it was green - i put it in the dc's bath and they both freaked out with the green water.... no more bath bombs for them!

ememem84 · 17/12/2020 10:26

also just finished a leighton denny "renovate" intensive nail repair cream. not massively fussed by this, but it came in the M&S beauty box which i was conned persuaded to buy a while back.

have also started on body shop winter jasmine hand ream. a 30ml one. this smells really nice.

Caggie09 · 17/12/2020 18:23

Ive used uo 2 more bits,

Elemis Herbal Lavender repair mask. Ive had a awful breakout on the side of my face, i picked and made it 100x worse! I think this helped, its abit to smelly for me though. The clay part doesnt dry me out to much, but did help to tackle the spots!

BubbleT berru shower gel. Another big ew!

Costacoffeeplease · 18/12/2020 12:48

More empties, some I found half used up and some from advent calendars, I decanted some of the body wash into a hand wash container to top it up. And a tarte máscara finished

Assuming we can go away next week (Another Covid Cluster, but not where we’re going - we just have a trigger-happy premier who is likely to close the border affecting our return.) I intend to pack all the minis that I didn’t donate to charity or give as presents.’

Pomegranatespompom · 19/12/2020 10:22

Few empties from me.
Only repurchase would be the orchid oil- love the texture and fragrance.
All from GWP or advents.

ememem84 · 19/12/2020 20:57

Bath bomb and soapy flower thing used up. Not brilliant. Bath voms smelled peppermint but turned water a murky brown.

justilou1 · 19/12/2020 21:08

Bath vom sounds so appealing @ememem84 🤢

ememem84 · 19/12/2020 21:27

just yeah....smelled nice initially. I also chucked some Epsom salts in so had to stay there for around half hour. To get the benefit from them.

Also just used a body shop vitamin c face mist. Apparently it’ll revive grumpy skin. Whether this is true remains to be seen.

WellTidy · 19/12/2020 23:18

An empty: 30ml Estée Lauder foaming cleaner for normal/combination skin. A staple for me; I have at least another two and a full size in the stash. I alternate between this cleanser and Elemis dynamic resurfacing cleanser at the moment and my skin seems happy with that. Would like to find cheaper alternatives and will be trying the Superdrug naturally radiant hot cloth one next I think.

WellTidy · 19/12/2020 23:19

Pomegranate much respect to you for getting through the Egyptian magic. I too got it in an advent calendar one year and tried it a few times and then I chucked it. I had high hopes after seeing such a cult following, but I just found it greasy and not much else.

justilou1 · 20/12/2020 00:32

I have finished a Cerave foaming cleanser. I have purchased two more. (One for the herd of teens). It’s FABULOUS!!! Washes off oil/balm without stripping or leaving skin tight. And it’s cheap! (Also lovely am wash.) Might even keep one in shower.

Pomegranatespompom · 20/12/2020 09:05

@WellTidy yes I didn’t like it, used it as a foot balm. I’ve used the Superdrug hot cloth cleanser, really liked it. Currently using a huge pot of eve Lom which I purchased with a voucher, tbh I don’t think it’s worth the money.
Interested in your cleanser @justilou1

Oh and my personal planner arrived - love it !

BookShark · 20/12/2020 11:06

A slightly felt contribution from me - a mini Shiseido serum. Really liked this, and would definitely repurchase.

Next up is a retinol serum, with lots of warnings not to use it too frequently to start with. Having never tried retinol before, will be interesting to see how I react. On the plus side, I'm in tier 4 so nobody's going to see me anyway!

BookShark · 20/12/2020 11:07

Felt? Should say feeble!

And glad you liked the personal planner - mine is wrapped up and under the tree!

Pomegranatespompom · 20/12/2020 11:38

@BookShark I love it! Can’t wait to use.

Put a deposit down on flight with BA this morning. We’re tier 4 too, I had a little wallow, but just been for a run.

Onwards and upwards
2021 plan
Lose 2 stone (1 is ok if I get defeated by middle age).
Use my lovely products
Regular hair cuts ( I’m a bit slapdash as it’s long- just straighten it).
Less internet time (apart from style and beauty and holiday planning).
More reading.
Lots of holidays.
Mindfulness.
Reducing contact with negative people.

Interested in your retinol. Think I need to start this.

Caggie09 · 20/12/2020 15:40

I had a night away, always perfect to get rid of sachets and dregs of products without bringing it all back.

Snowfairy shower gel mini. Hoping to get more in the sale, if it's possible..

Aesop Camellia nut moisturiser sachet. The scent was too over powering for me..

Dermalogica spf50 sachet. Saved me bringing my fullsize Nivea.

Algenist sleeping collagen night cream sachet. Loved it...

CherryMargo · 20/12/2020 15:41

I’m in the Tier 4 club, too! /waves

I love your 2021 goals, @Pomegranatespompom! And I’ve recognised a few products from your empties photo – I’m yet to open them though ☺️

Meanwhile, empty no. 67 🚮 L'Oréal Prodigy Magnifying Satin Conditioner (60 ml).

I love this conditioner, and have 14 more bottles hoarded from the days when I used at-home hair dye. It expired four years ago but still worked like magic. I wish they sold it as a separate product.

A total number of products left in the hair conditioner category: 1 deluxe sample and 16 full-size products, i.e. I’m good till 2035 😅

ememem84 · 21/12/2020 06:43

@Pomegranatespompom love those goals.

Mine are similar:

  • use products
  • mindefulness and meditation
  • exercise more
  • lose 10kgs by Christmas 2021
  • spend less
  • avoid the negativity
  • reduce screen time.
ememem84 · 21/12/2020 07:29

Body shop coconut shower gel done. The smell was a bit too much for me. Won’t be rebuying.

Costacoffeeplease · 21/12/2020 12:42

More empties. I got the Regenerate toothpaste in a liberty calendar a few years ago and use it all the time. Although I’m now on the H&B calendar toothpaste and like that too

Afternoon ladies, its been a while.

So I've finished a Superdrug Vitamin C gel moisturiser, I liked how it was all fresh and zingy but it did feel a little tacky when applying. Prob wouldn't purchase again. I'm moving onto a Pure day cream now.

I've given away a load of hair products that just don't work with my hair, mainly olis and treatments that don't suit my fine, thin hair. This included a superdrug argon oil, panten colour protect oil, Loriel hair oil spray, and a superdrug coconut hair mask.
