@justilou1 thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I have melasma on my forehead- not too noticeable but would be nice to fade off

Anyone have a Foreo Issa play toothbrush? Need to work out how to replace the battery!!

@TeatimeAtCloppa do you use the app for Yesstyle? I did not get a chance to finish my order yesterday.
Thanks for sharing your favourites - gonna get me some of those!!!!

@ememem84 vitamins count in my book 🤓

I have a few empties:

  • So...? Pout scrub: ok but dried out real quick. Still prefer Lush one.
  • Essence Lash Princess false lash effect: absolutely fine and did not bleed down and as cheap as chips from Wilko
  • Loreal preference shine protect conditioner: I always forget to use these after dying my hair - you are supposed to use once a week. It is an ok conditioner.
  • Skyn Iceland limited edition minty lip fix: from an M&S advent years ago... ok - easy to apply but I am not keen on putting anything minty on my lips as it always feels drying

Empty no. 55 🚮 fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask (4 ml; GWP). It was manufactured in November 2018, and contained adenosine (I spoke about this ingredient in my empty no. 49 review 🧐).

You can use this mask up to three times a week but don’t mistake it for a hydrating mask. This mask is very thick (probably due to maltodextrin) – the texture and colour remind me of mushed potatoes, and it burns and tingles like frostbite. Make sure you wash it off after 10 minutes ⏱ My skin felt tightened after using it but I have a suspicion it was simply a result of skin dehydration caused by the mask.

I have some more "empties"... or rather stuff I am going to chuck... the eyeshadow quad is very ancient... I think I got in Puerto Rico in 2006!!!! But I feel good that I used all except the palest colour.

Started a clarins blue orchid treatment oil. It’s only a mini mini sample size but it’ll take me a while to get through I think. Feels nice though. Smells ok.

Costacoffeeplease · 17/11/2020 13:31

More empties. I’m not including the lumene só as not to give away any spoilers!

Just one empty - a Nip n Fab sheet mask in (I think) vitamin c. Liked this, used the excess on my truly lizard skin shins and my less lizard like arms.

Not many masks left - one sheet mask and one full size tube. Get me!!

WellTidy · 17/11/2020 13:50

just I have pigmentation too (brown patches on my cheeks) and I think now is a good time of year (winter) for me to try and start treating it.

I am poring over what you say! But I am not sure whetehr I've found the right hada labo red premium range item that you refer to. Is it the hada labo tokyo anti-aging super hydrator lotion 150ml?

I think I've found the The Ordinary products that you recommend.

Could you also spell out for me the order in which you put this all on, and how often, and at what stage in your skincare routine please? At the moment, I'm removing make up, then cleanser, then hyaluronic serum, then eye cream, then moisturiser and then SPF (when i remember, which i absolutely know that i must).

TeatimeAtCloppa · 17/11/2020 18:26

Hi Experiment I do have the app but I actually prefer the website. The app is so tiny and doesn't really give you the full view. I really hope you love your purchases.❤️

ememem84 · 18/11/2020 08:30

sanctuary body lotion used up. on to body shop shea butter. i love the body shop butters. super moisturising and thick and the fragrance lasts for ages.

however i only ever buy on sale as hate the price. i think they're something like £15 for one now....

bebarkered · 18/11/2020 10:52

Please can someone tell me how things 'work' on this thread? It's the first time I've seen it. Spotted fellow QVC'ers already!
TIA

We all have way too many beauty products, and like the satisfaction of announcing we've used some up, so come on here where we'll find people who appreciate it!

And then leave a brief comment about whether we liked it, so that we can corrupt each other into buying more things we don't really need!

Experiment627 · 19/11/2020 06:55

Welcome @bebarkered !!!!
@BookShark explained things perfectly!!!

@TeatimeAtCloppa I still have not placed my order!!! What is wrong with me!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

So ladies I realised a long held dream this week and launched my very own You Tube channel!!! It is called Selfcare Karen and I will be posting videos on my beauty addiction but also meditation/affirmations/etc... basically things that bring me joy! I would love for you to take a look!!! Let me know what you think!!!!

bebarkered · 19/11/2020 07:05

Thank you for welcoming me and explaining how stuff works X. I'm looking on YouTube for you Selfcare Karen. There's a video uploaded at the end of July. Is that you?

RiskIt4Biscuit · 19/11/2020 09:24

Finished a Maria Nila Heal conditioner - i love the shampoo and hair mask, but the conditioner doesn't do much, and I don't use conditioner on my scalp, so the idea that it would help heal the scalp and help hair growth is silly I think.

Also finished a Clinique Lash power mascara. Love this. Have another one in my stash, and will repurchase.

I've also used up a Laura Mercier caviar eye stick in Au Naturel. It's one of the smaller ones, not full size.
I've used these for years, but this colour really works for me - alone or as a base under powder shadows. I will probably repurchase, but have a lot of other cream shadows to get through first.

CherryMargo · 19/11/2020 19:24

I've finally used up two deluxe samples of Goldfaden MD Facial Detox Clarify + Clear Mask (7 ml; GWP).

It causes a strong tingling sensation when it’s on, but calms inflammation, and a little goes a long way which is good news as the full-size product (50 ml) costs £58. However, I wouldn’t want it even as a gift because it smells horrible! Colloidal sulphur and camphor sit at the top of the ingredients list, and their smell doesn’t go away even after I wash the mask off and apply a scented moisturiser. Needless to say, those 14 ml were hate-panned by me.

A total number of products left in the face mask category: 4 deluxe samples, 2 full-size tubes, 16 sheet masks (got myself a pack of four Seoulista Beauty Rosy Glow Primer sheet masks this month! 😏) and an annual supply of pore strips 🤪

I've chucked out a Boots No.7 eyeshadow pallet that could possibly be 15 years old... the colours had no pigment at all left in them.

I finished the small L'Occitane verbena shower gel that came with the M&S beauty box. I'm starting to run low on shower gels now :o

Getting quite low on some other bits which is exciting :)

woodhill · 19/11/2020 19:58

Yes love this thread.

One good thing is the Boots recycling scheme

TeatimeAtCloppa · 19/11/2020 20:58

I'm so sorry I haven't been around much...my wonderful hardworking and selfless mum who struggled her whole life and worked her fingers to the bone for me and my siblings and never once bought anything decent for herself, is in hospital with a 'space' in her brain and we are just waiting now to find out exactly what it is. Life is just so SHIT!!!

Pomegranatespompom · 19/11/2020 21:32

So sorry to hear about your mum @TeatimeAtCloppa wishing you all the very best.

CornishTiger · 19/11/2020 22:31

So sorry to hear that @TeatimeAtCloppa xx

CornishTiger · 19/11/2020 22:45

I’ve been awol for a while but have some empties to report.

No7 eyeshadow in wheatsheaf- this is my everyday all over shade. Already got another one on the go with another one stashed from a points offer.

Sukin mfacial moisturiser. I put this one on my to use up list with another on March. It’s finally done! It’s nice. Easy and light. Didn’t do anything amazing but also didn’t irritate skin. I had been getting reactions earlier in year. I have a sensitive one from same brand to open once I’ve emptied a neals yard one.

Ren AHA ready steady glow. Been making an effort to use toners. I did like this one. Got it in m&s beauty bag. May repurchase but again have other toners to use up first!

Neals yard Rose soap. Lovely. Will repurchase. Use instead of shower gel.

Elvive colour protect shampoo and conditioner. My scalp scraps if I use this too much but my hair always looks lush. Need to repurchase.

Temple spa mascara. Expensive but worth it. Have replaced it with a very similar looking lime life one( my second or third). Limelife seems to not smudge/drop onto bottom as much as the temple spa one. However I’m pretty convinced they are actually the same product!!

woodhill · 19/11/2020 22:57

Yes I have Wheatsheaf, it is definitely a go to one

DeciduousPerennial · 20/11/2020 10:58

Well. Now I need to look at Wheatsheaf don’t I? 😂

I’ve finished this this morning. It’s about the 4th or 5th one I’ve gone through. However, my skin is getting more and more sensitive and even this (previously safe and therefore holy grail, never-to-be-without, ticks all boxes on the sensitive and moisturising and not pilling fronts) is now stinging like billyo sometimes, so I’m going back to the drawing board.

Any suggestions? Can’t be expensive though.

Good for you Experiment!! Will watch some videos!

Used the Palmers for shaving my legs, i always feel so soft and my legs never get itchy!

❤❤ The LM shower and body butter. May have to repurchase, when im down on shower and body products.

Also, anyone getting anything with Black Friday offers?
