I'll start. This is an Avon one - Unforgettable. I'm not usually one for pinks but I think it's glorious!

And to show I'm not bluffing here's my current Jean Queen that I'm now having to use with a lip brush as I've hit the pan on the bullet - it's also my third purchase and I'll be buying another soon!

So glad I found this thread. Can't wear eye make up at the moment due to conjunctivitis so I'm embracing lipstick!

Currently living the Maybelline stay ink red, can't remember its name. I now want the tonymoly one and Clinique one from the first page.

MAC Runway Hit for me today, the postman has just delivered it.

Lipstick shopping is something that I usually cheer myself up with but all of the fun has been taken out of browsing in shops for now so I had to take a chance with this one and order it online.

It’s really odd isn’t it? It’s all different lipsticks and when one triggers it I chuck it out to avoid any contamination. I suspect it’s an allergy to a common ingredient as I get raw skin around my lips when I use certain toothpastes. Really annoying!

Sorry just to add if you like Jean Queen you might also want to look at the following by Lipstick Queen:

• Medieval, if Jean Queen is lipstick for beginners then this is red for beginners. Don't be put off by the colour in the bullet. It's a very flattering sheer red.

• Frog Prince, again don't be put off the green colour in the bullet!! It's a very sheer soft pink when it goes on.

Lip finity max factor pearly nude

I wore two today, ELF seriously satin lipsticks in sugar plum (muted plum) and raspberry (raspberry pink.) They didn't do too badly under my mask.*

*That's what I get for working for a supermarket who insists on the staff wearing masks because 'it's not fair on the customers'.

I love lipstick but can't wear any because of masks! How do you manage??

Do you need to wear a mask all day? If not, just apply lipstick in between mask wearing. You can always take it off before putting a mask on. I've been wearing lipstick around the house, pre covid I only wore it when leaving the house. It's been nice to get a bit more wear out of my lipsticks!

I'd really like to get on with lipstick, but feel silly in it. Like a kid dressing up. Some people wear lipstick and even in bright colours they sit well on their face, look natural of you see what I mean, but it feels like lipstick stands out of my face.

I would recommend trying some tinted lip balms to get used to wearing colour on your lips. Burt's Bees make some lovely ones that give a hint of colour and they are very reasonably priced. You could also try sheer lipsticks, which would be less jarring than solid colour.

Last three days colours.
The light pink is matte ink dreamer, the middle ones is devotion and the red is pioneer (my favourite)

Charlotte Tilbury Stoned Rose. I’d never have chosen it but tried a sample and loved it- really wakens me up.

Are Charlotte tilbury ones any good iAd need a very pale one as I look like death warmed up most of the time.

I've finally bought an YSL lipstick in rose nu to replace the one I found in an outlet years ago and found to be a good daytime pink for me.

Today's choice. In 115 I represent

Pioneer 80 in Maybelline stay ink. I feel like even red lipstick looks pink on me!

Mac - Plum Dandy (Frost collection)

Some gorgeous lipsticks on here and lips for that matter!

Honestly, I'm quite bored with this colour now. I tend to play it quite safe and don't believe many colours suit me. I'm usually drawn to frosts or metallicy finishes, as I find most colours a bit one dimensional and flat on me.

Any recomendations? I'm quite pale, with pink undertones, green eyes and dark brown hair. Nudes wash me out a bit too much and bright/bold colours I never seem to manage to pull off.

Any ideas?..

@FrostingExtraThick I have plum dandy too and quite like it but often layer it on top of a darker shade.

My colouring is similar to yours and I really do like the Charlotte Tilbury Stored Rose, which is a surprise! I feel it makes me look more alive!

@Holothane it’s my first Charlotte tilbury one, surprisingly as I own about a million lipsticks, and I’m impressed with the colour and texture, but would like it to last a bit longer.
