@lookatallthosechickens take a walk around Selfridges and John Lewis, it’s Gucci tracksuits, lip fillers and brows cost a fortune to maintain and baked makeup isn’t exactly Barrie M. It’s not sneering at the poor.

It’s noticing at how easily led and manipulated some people are to follow social trends. Some are so blind to what they’re doing but do it just to fit in anyway because they can not think for themselves.

A one size fits all approach clearly doesn’t work yet people jump on the band wagon feeling it does. Mom jeans a perfect example, I see so many shorter girls wearing such an unflattering shape for their body morphology just because of a trend.

Yep, I agree with you on the snapchat things especially people who think they look super cute with whiskers and silly eyes etc - they don't. The overly filtered pictures on social media where people comment 'you look beautiful/gorgeous etc' and they are so filtered that it is an alien without as line version of the person .... what's that all about!

I think there is an enormous and clear difference between "I really dislike the way these fashions look" and "let me share an anecdote mocking the appearance of a specific individual", tbh.

Contouring looks great to in photos,not so good up close.

Skinny jeans are the only fit that suit me

Also I can't find trainers that don't look clompy and oversized when wearing skinny jeans. It's annoying when it's rainy but too warm for boots and I'm stuck in pumps dodging the bloody puddles.

Another vote for the giant eyebrow trend.

I have had so many conversations with people sporting those brows and all I hear is blah, blah, blah, rhubarb, blah, blah because I can't stop thinking about the big hairy caterpillars clinging to their heads.

Skinny jeans are fine. Only ones that suit me. Im a size 8.

Giant eyebrows are horrible
Jumpers that sit above the waist

Wide cropped trousers

Loafers

Anything peplum

Long denim skirts

Any kind of blouse with a frill

Socks and sliders. Big buns - everyone knows they are fake. Crop tops, fila platform trainers. Mum jeans.

Before I even read your opening post I thought cold shoulder tops. Just hideous. I've never seen it look good on anyone. I also can't stand dungarees. Looks ridiculous on grown women.

@Jemenfouscompletement there’s nothing wrong with skinny jeans until you’re not skinny. Then the name becomes a metaphor.

I realise now this thread is about style and beauty, but I just came on to say salted caramel.

I honestly think that most trends look good on the right person, in the right situation.

I get frustrated by all the midi length skirts and dresses, they just don't suit my height at all and seem to hit my legs at a point that looks unflattering even though I have nice legs! I wish I could carry it off though.

I like low waisted jeans/hipster, skinny or slim legged, and have found it quite difficult to find them as a lot of the current styles have higher waists.

Nonsense. Skinny jeans means the jeans are skinny, not the wearer.

I am a size 14-16...I look better in skinny jeans than other styles. In fact looser jeans just make me look bigger

Fake tan, long fake nails and too much contouring
Fluffy sliders
Massive handbags (what do people even keep in them?!)
Blonde hair and black beetle eyebrows - if you're going to lighten your hair then lighten your eyebrows too
Men with full beards - just yuk
Also men who wear clothes 3 sizes too small to show off their latest gym session

I love skinny jeans though, baggy mom jeans are just so unflattering.
