Beards need to go. Bring back clean shaven men. I have an actual fear of beards. I blame reading The Twits as a child.

I like skinny jeans the straight cut look frumpy on me ,, I like dress/skirts with trainers. Hate cold shoulder tops and big trainers and short tops

On a serious note, I agree about the heavy make up on young girls. We have a junior assistant, she's 19 now. Dolled up for a night out, she looks like a gorgeous, but heavily made up 30 year old. In the day with us, a gorgeous 19 year old.
But they don't be told

Beards smell.

Microbladed eyebrows - I know everyone who has them says they look real, but they don't. They look like tattooed-on eyebrows.

I think high messy buns are cute. I have wild 70% grey curly hair down to my waist and I wear one almost every day and get lots of compliments. My other go-to look when I have an event to attend or just more time in the morning is a sort of modified gibson girl up-do with a swoop in the front - I have a round face and I like to have height at the crown.

However, when a messy bun is accompanied by hairy caterpillar fake lashes, tonnes of contour, and beef lips, it is 100% hiding outgrown extension tracks and greasy roots.

No Brutus, I'm talking about jeans.

To be fair, the whole contouring thing isn't really trendy anymore, it's now all about minimalist glowy 'glass skin'. And it's not really slug eyebrows anymore, it's 'fluffy' brows!

I don't mind most things, apart from cycling shorts as going out wear WTF?! I haven't seen any cold shoulder tops for a good while now, I agree they were grim.

Was it mumsnet where I first saw cold shoulder tops called 'potato peekers'? because even the loveliest of shoulders look like potatoes peeking out of the shoulder holes. Still makes me laugh.

Fake fish lips filled with fillers or whatever they put in them
Selfies with the fish lips thing
TicToc with middle aged women doing the swimming thing with snorkels on their heads - just why, it's not even slightly amusing or funny
Filters on profile pics so people look like they are 20 and in realy life you have to double take because they look completely different

My DD specifically told me I wasn't allowed to buy cycling shorts, even for exercising, in case I accidentally went to the shop in them and she'd never live it down apparently :)

With a few notable exceptions, most of the trends being repeated here (lots of contour, baked makeup, track suits, live-laugh-love home decor, lip fillers, heavy drawn-on eyebrows) have reached the stage of the fashion/style cycle where they are only really popular with the poor and working class or people with less cultural capital in general (or celebrities who purposely appeal to those people). So it does come across a bit nasty and sneering. I'm guilty of it too but it's just something to think about. Punching down isn't really a great look.

I just wondered, does anyone on here have slug brows? Could they tell us what makes them do it?

People with Snapchat pictures on their profiles make me laugh too. Those bow/crown/bunny nose/halo/stars blurring filters scream I look knackered in real life louder than a banshee. 🤭🤣

Polyester ditzy/leopard print high neck/ long sleeve dresses. What's wrong with plain colours? My grandmother wouldn't ever wear them because they were too old fashioned last time - she was born in 1905.

Short skater dresses, especially in larger sizes. They are going to ride up and expose your arse to everybody.

I like midi length because nobody needs to see my arse, my fat knees or varicose veins, but at the same time I'm also stumpy legged, so a maxi makes me move rather like a dalek.
