I'm still seeing so many cold shoulder tops. Who is buying these monstrosoties?!

Ruffles don't seem to be going anywhere either.

I confess, I quite enjoy wearing clothes that other women disapprove of.

I dont care if you like the things i dont
I just dont like the trends on me, they dont suit my size or shape.
As a result, i shop a lot online from china, the clothes fit me well and have styles/prints/colours i like in tops.

There is 1 online store in Aus i can buy flare jeans from in my size. EVERYWHERE else, in-store or online is skinny, mum jeans, cropped jeans which look so bad on me
I just wanna be able to shop in more than a handful of places

"I confess, I quite enjoy wearing clothes that other women disapprove of."

It's not disapproval, calm down. No one cares.

TheLightGetsIn · 31/08/2020 10:23

Double denim
Trainers, except for exercise
Athleisure
Teddy coats/jackets
Puffa coats/jackets
Huge puffed sleeves

CallarMorvern · 31/08/2020 21:55

Opaque/heavy tights with short summery dresses

I love this look, short skater skirts in floral Liberty fabric, black opaque tights and Docs.

NameChange84 · 31/08/2020 21:55

Me too CallarMorvern!

JohnMcCainsDeathStare · 31/08/2020 23:16

Pre ripped jeans.

Leggings that haven't passed the squat test.

Baggy cold shoulder tops - they looked like they got sewn wrong. Having said that I like long sleeves with longitudinal slits or tight, fitted cold shoulders with small hole details/slashes. Thing is you need to have well defined arms and big shoulders to make them work.

FourNaanJeremy · 31/08/2020 23:36

The only thing I am actually sick of the sight of in clothes shops at the minute is those huge, clumpy, usually white, hideous trainers. They seem to be deliberately as ugly as possible and the trend for them has completely passed me by. They look like something a PE teacher in the 90s would wear. Sorry to anyone who loves them, I’m sure they’re comfy or whatever, but to me they ruin any outfit they’re put with! And they’re everywhere at the minute

“ Sorry to anyone who loves them, I’m sure they’re comfy or whatever”

That’s not why people wear them. Plenty of other comfortable shoes out there. They wear them because it’s a look - just one that you don’t like.

I don’t like them either personally, mainly because they make me look like an idiot, but younger women (and men) can pull them off

motherofgod2 · 01/09/2020 07:20

Tucked in tops, high waisted jeans, those Fila trainers, mom jeans and my absolute worst - gym clothes as day wear. It looks ridiculous.

Sallygoround631 · 01/09/2020 11:09

as usual, you all sound old, clueless and intolerant.

lol.

wanderings · 02/09/2020 07:51

Lots of people have mentioned trainers. What I sometimes wonder is: why is it so popular to appear to wear them without socks, as in the photo @FourNaanJeremy posted? There are probably invisible socks in that photo. (I myself prefer to wear trainers actually without socks, instead of those uncomfy invisible ones, but this makes me a MN sinner!)

anxiiousone · 09/11/2020 02:22

@LoisWilkersonslastnerve

It's easy to laugh at teen trends but I found a photo of me in the 90s wearing a chunky white jumper, bell bottoms and Caterpillar boots, I thought I was the bees knees but actually looked like Captain Birdseye's mutant offspring. Blush
😂😂😂😂
ChickSmile · 09/11/2020 16:17

I quite like the cold shoulder thing. Very pretty and feminine. I hated them at first, but they’ve grown on me.

What I really dislike are leggings worn by themselves to be “sexy” which leave nothing to the imagination. Something so grim about that. Everything else I like.

Not mad about short tops and jumpers, at least on me, but can’t see they’re sexy if you have the figure!

ChickSmile · 09/11/2020 16:19

I’m a bit tired of the trainers with the white stripes too. Are there any other kinds? That fashion going on far too long Zzzz

ChickSmile · 09/11/2020 16:21

can see!

Lily193 · 09/11/2020 16:21

White trainers, dungarees, wide leg cropped trousers

LuckyAmy1986 · 09/11/2020 17:04

People saying hun!

MrDarcysMa · 09/11/2020 17:57

eyebrows, fake lashes, fake lips, generally the blow up doll/ grag queen look.

Tillytess · 09/11/2020 20:56

High waisted jeans, emphasise tummy, waistband sits just below boobs (I am short with a torso to match). However, I dont think they look good on tall folk either. Mid rise all the way!

SunsetBeetch · 10/11/2020 12:33

Are Ugg Boots making a comeback? I keep getting adverts for them on YouTube with the tagline "the classic silhouette".

Err...no thanks! Some of the ugliest footwear ever, imo.

SunsetBeetch · 10/11/2020 12:34

@Sallygoround631

as usual, you all sound old, clueless and intolerant.

lol.

But nobody sounds as unpleasant as you.
Gwenhwyfar · 11/11/2020 20:18

@HazelWong

Also jumpsuits. They just look ridiculous to me
They look awful on me, but seem to look very good on some people...
Gwenhwyfar · 11/11/2020 20:20

"Are skinny jeans that awful? A lot of the other types look bad on most, me included - mom jeans, boyfriend jeans, boot cut"

My legs look like sausages, but I still like my skinny jeans.
I'd buy slim fit ones though if I could find good ones and if the shops were open.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 11/11/2020 20:26

Straight leg, ankle grazer, extra high waisted jeans. Hideous

Cropped tops/jumpers/jackets fucking everywhere

People wearing huge glasses that don't actually need glasses Confused

Stupid, big, ugly, clumpy trainers put together with all the above.
