Beauty Advent Calendars 2020

After a weird year, who is thinking about treating themselves? Can’t believe how quickly this has come round!

Nothing is out yet but some places are keeping waiting lists for notifications e.g. Cult Beauty. The John Lewis sneak peak looks promising. And I believe Body Shop is out the end of this month.

Any you will be looking out for? I’m thinking of splurging on a decent one this year — I had serious envy over Cult Beauty last year. I’ve also become a huge SpaceNK fan this year so I’ll have my eye out to see what they’re producing.

My big surprise hit last year was Holland and Barrett — super cheap and some brilliant items. If it’s as good this year I might end up with that as a bonus.

I LOVE beauty advent calendars, always get a few. It’s my only beauty buys for the year but then I splurge. It’s a proper treat. I can turn into a bit of a hoarder though so am going to try and limit myself.

Last year the Cult Beauty was amazing so I’ll be getting that. The looks Fantastic is always great value for the money. The Harrod’s one was way over-priced and a rip-off (yes, they saw me coming )

That Pretty Little Thing calendar looks great for my daughter, but unfortunately it's sold out @LorrainePBell Maybe it sold out in the 50 minutes between you posting the link and me checking just now?! Hopefully @Mummyonline got it.

@LorrainePBell thank you for that. I managed to get one. @AsPerMyLastEmail it is worth keeping a look at their website as they will re'drop' the calendar in October or November. The NYX one looks good for teens. It will be out in October.

I think it looks fantastic and is more to DD's taste than the NYX one.

As for me (with some products going to DD if she's good ...), I've pre-ordered Looks Fantastic, and signed up for the waiting lists for Liberty and Cult Beauty. Those will be my three. I was going to go for Fotnum's over Liberty's as I've had several from Liberty over the years and wasn't so keen on last year's, but this one looks really good and has products I want need.

That’s good news, I had one for my 16 year old in my basket, through to payment but had to take a work call and returned to them out of stock!

My H&B came today. Haven't opened the box yet as I've decided to gift it to the lovely partner of ds1 (can't call her dil {yet}). Was going in October but I've got to get appt for my bc implant removal and full masectomy. Ugh. Bloody silicon has leaked into my armpit so have a deformed chest. So looking forward to Xmas.

I am very cross with Rituals. Ordered, paid, checked my email later to see money was taken, thank you for your order, and then "you have been refunded". Buggery I think, it went out of stock as I was in the system. Website (Italian Rituals) still showing in stock. I message them on FB. Can't be delivered to my address. So I ask why. It's an item that can't be sent to Italy. So why is it on sale on Rituals Italy? Would it not be better to put a gizmo on your Italian website saying "you can only look at these things"
I've also cancelled my Look Fantastic because I decided 2 expensivish ones was too much.
Now I need one as nice as Rituals but not Rituals. Fuckers!

Managed to get one too. The discount code didn’t work for me btw despite being a new customer. I’m buying it solely on the recommendation of you lot, have no idea what’s in it. Yes, I’m a sheep.

I have also bought H&B because of the recommendations so thank you for that and the heads up that it is back in stock. This seems like a good fit for me since I don't want to spend loads and I don't want loafs of things i already own but it is nice to have something to open.

The DEALS code seems to have expired. I searched for a voucher code and got 10% off with VEGAN10. There might have been a greater discount but I disentangle spend ages looking.

Any Irish posters - not available on the Irish site but free shipping from the UK site. You will get hit with the foreign Curr charge though.
