I promised I would post pics of my mini-lift for others who were possibly considering it. I got out of theatre at 2.45 and the swelling is starting to kick in now. Surgeon said that is to be expected. Jowls gone along with burgeoning turkey neck.
Before and immediately after pics wrong way round obvs.
If anyone is interested, I am more than happy to share daily photos.

Ears are actually unique to each and every person, so much so that they are comparable in uniqueness to the fingerprint. ... One's ears are fully formed at birth and age gracefully over time, making them an ideal body part to confirm identity

I think so too sparkling

I have type 2 rosacea so papules and pustules. Used Soolantra for about 8 months until it was totally under control. It got a lot worse before it got better and my face was an itchy, lumpy and sore mess for a while. I switched to using prescription azaleic acid that I get from Boots and then introduced adapalene (Differin) at night. I do not use any moisturiser as it aggravates and spf 50 seems to do the job.

Thanks so much OP, I'll look into these products but suspect it might be a trip to GP for me.
Hope you're not suffering too much today and pain/swelling is manageable.

Shannith · 23/07/2020 20:05

This is really interesting and thank you so much for your honestly.

You look great already on day one so looking forward to seeing the results as you heal.

MissMarplesHandbag · 23/07/2020 23:49

Wow op. Great result already. Hope you’re feeling ok.

excelledyourself · 24/07/2020 00:05

crosseyedMary · 24/07/2020 00:15

Thank you for sharing DameDoom, I also had thread lift which wasn't very pleasant and I'm not sure if it made much of a difference, I'm definitely in the market for something like this, I like the fact especially that it wasn't a general anaesthetic 😊

Gunpowder · 24/07/2020 00:24

Wow! Think it looks fab.

Jessemer · 24/07/2020 00:26

@missrks

Found this off google! I'm really tempted to go for it - just incase anyone wondered what it looks like!
Of course this is the same woman!
missrks · 24/07/2020 10:30

@SparklingLime

I don’t think that’s the same woman, *@missrks*.
It is the same woman. I went back and found the origins of the picture and it's a surgeons aesthetics clinic before and after. Sorry..
SparklingLime · 24/07/2020 11:12

No need to apologise, @missrks. I would just hate to see anyone scammed by fake B&As.

Sorry for the derail, @DameDoom. Will be very interested to follow your healing and see more pics.

Gunpowder · 24/07/2020 11:26

I always find cosmetic before and after shots problematic because so often the lighting is different, they are wearing make up only in the after shot etc, etc. That’s why OP’s pics are so good to see.

RogueV · 24/07/2020 12:25

You look great!

MolotovMocktail · 24/07/2020 12:31

How are you feeling today OP?

DameDoom · 24/07/2020 13:19

Had a much more comfortable night and haven’t had any painkillers yet so that’s a good sign. I have tried to photograph my stitches as requested - they are starting to itch which will drive me made as they aren’t out til next Friday.
You will notice from the front view that I look lopsided. He operated on each side as different entities so I was warned about this. I also have some puckering and dents... again, I was told so haven’t panicked. My neck looks so wide from the front view but that is just swelling.
I have managed to wash my hair and brush my teeth (sort of) with a baby toothbrush. Mouth feels grim but I can’t open it much yet.

Thanks again for the pictures Dame, there really is a big difference, the loose skin under your chin is gone completely!
I know it's very early days but looks like a great result to me😊

DameDoom · 24/07/2020 13:28

Here is a close up of the stitching.

I am pleased so far. Am not trying to be some young dolly bird but the sagging was getting me down. I eat really well, don’t drink or smoke and maintain my weight ( ‘‘tis a struggle) but there was nothing I could do myself anymore to sort my biggest bugbear and no amount of cheek filler in the world would sort that out.

OP posts:
crosseyedMary · 24/07/2020 13:39

I would love to be a young dolly bird and I would try as hard as I could if that was achievable🤩
I don't like the way that women get shamed on here for having cosmetic procedures, I prefer it if we can be honest with each other about what's really involved and what is achievable, the pros and cons etc.

PerfidiousAlbion · 24/07/2020 13:44

Oh, I remember your other post!

Well done on having the nerve to do it - it looks great - you've got your heart shaped face back!

Please let us know how it settles after a month or so.

SunshineChatter · 24/07/2020 13:53

I wish more people were this open about procedures because first-hand feedback and images are what's needed. So thank you for posting.

RufustheRowlingReindeer · 24/07/2020 14:08

dame

I know what you mean...my saggy neck made me feel old (and the overweight body but thats a different thread)

I was told that this reversed my face and neck by about 9/10 Years but that it would revert with gravity and age (which would make me 60...so maybe i would feel old then 😀 maybe not)

Are yo7 going to try and do anything different with your neck, non surgical stuff or lotions and potions?

RufustheRowlingReindeer · 24/07/2020 14:09

Where the fuck did the 7 come from 😳
