I promised I would post pics of my mini-lift for others who were possibly considering it. I got out of theatre at 2.45 and the swelling is starting to kick in now. Surgeon said that is to be expected. Jowls gone along with burgeoning turkey neck.
Before and immediately after pics wrong way round obvs.
If anyone is interested, I am more than happy to share daily photos.

Yes everything has settled down very well and there is no evidence of scarring visible as far as I can see anyway. Looking at the before photos and now, there is a big improvement but you certainly can’t tell I have had anything done in the flesh.

Everything is a bit more lifted and a bit tighter but it’s not the dramatic result (or cost) that you would get with a full lift. Reckon it’s bought me a few more years though.

It’s definitely been worth it for me and it looks a lot less done than constantly topping up cheek fillers to lift the sagging jowl which only continues to get worse.
I would do it again.

There have been a few comments suggesting my photos are disingenuous - I am not a professional medical photographer and have just wanged the iPad about to take selfies. Yes, the light may be a bit different in some but I have tried to give as honest a picture as I can. I did it to show others interested in doing something about their jowls how it has gone for me. It may be helpful or not. I am not a Kardashian trying to smoke and mirror folk into having it done.

Would you go for Profhilo again? Why did you stop if it made your skin look good?

grassisjeweled · 03/03/2021 02:55

Amazing thread op, very kind of you.

potatopot · 03/03/2021 08:46

Thanks OP, such a helpful thread.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 03/03/2021 09:48

You look amazing OP! Hope its boosted your confidence

Snorkelface · 03/03/2021 09:52

I'd forgotten about this thread! You look fab OP. Thank you so much for posting.

LaurieFairyCake · 03/03/2021 10:08

Really great result

For those asking about cheek fillers pulling the face up - I have them to combat jowls and under eye sag/wrinkles and provide definition to cheek bones - I just had them done on Friday (6 days ago)

It does a great job but the 'jowly' bit is much more subtle than the OP's - so I will/would have what the OP's done in about 5-8 years

I'm fine for now

Here's my before and after zoomed in (no make up/still got some bruising/in the after my face is covered in my morning retinol Grin)

Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Milomonster · 03/03/2021 13:01

Love this thread. Incredible result. Would love to know how the results look now.

EyesWithAFace · 03/03/2021 13:15

LaurieFairyCake that's a great result. Are you in the UK? If so would you be willing to recommend your practitioner (by private message maybe?).

EyesWithAFace · 03/03/2021 13:17

Also DameDoom - glad you are still pleased with your result. The price seems reasonable compared to what other surgeons elsewhere charge for what seems like a similar procedure.

DoubleTweenQueen · 03/03/2021 13:19

Really good of you to share. I’m nearly 52 and need something similar. Need to lose some weight first!

Has made a difference already, and should be great when swelling’s gone down! Lovely and fresh for the Spring!

I'm in London, my dentist did it. She took so much care doing it - by the end she was tweaking 0.1 ml a time to get a perfect result Grin. I've had it done with someone before and this was WAY better as she took so much care.

Happy to say which one - she's Shrina Patel at Smile Impressions in Lee, South East London. They have a practice in Blackheath too. Reasonable price too, was £350

Hello @DameDoom I’m seriously contemplating getting the same thing done by the same surgeon. Did the slight puckering clear up and do you have any profile pics? Any regrets? Thank you for inspiring me and for the post!

DameDoom · 21/03/2023 21:32

@RandomnMe. Before and After now.
Here is a picture from last month and one before the mini lift. It’s still in good nick and my jowling isn’t really an issue anymore. I have had Morpheus 8 too and that certainly helped tighten up more under my chin as my neck wasn’t done - they didn’t do that procedure there at the time otherwise I would have had it included.
I’d definitely do it again but sometimes wish I had gone for a full face lift.

Amazing results, thanks for sharing OP

vanillapods · 21/03/2023 22:33

Hi OP, wanted to thank you for sharing your story. I had been considering a mini lift for a while and your posts helped me make my mind up to go ahead and get one last summer. It has given me such a boost, I too am delighted with results.

Atalune · 21/03/2023 22:47

You look so good. The difference is immense but you just look lovely. Not plastic or uncanny valley like. Worth every penny id say.

@LaurieFairyCake - do you still go there? (Appreciate your post on this thread was a while ago!)

@DameDoom love this thread and your pics / results are fab. You look bloody fab! 🥰

BlackSwan · 22/03/2023 02:34

Looking magnificent. Thank you for sharing!

GarlicGrace · 22/03/2023 02:55

Wow.

I don't "approve" of vanity procedures - and am too broke to have one anyway - but I've got to say you made a good choice, @DameDoom! I really dislike that my lower face sag has altered my looks so much. I'm older than you, and I guess you're gonna sag somewhere - I don't yet have many wrinkles, presumably because the unsupported skin has mostly migrated southwards!

Your little lift is so effective and 'natural', you've almost made me wish I could afford it now 😃

RandomnMe · 22/03/2023 04:22

Thanks so much for the update @DameDoom 😍 you look amazing! My neck is now also an issue. I was thinking of going to the same clinic and having an upper eye lift and fat transfer to the breasts. I wouldn’t have a general anesthetic so no full facelift for me…

in your original pics shortly after surgery there was some slight puckering/stretch at the side. Did that completely disappear?

DameDoom · 22/03/2023 18:40

@RandomnMe yes - it went completely. There were a few moments when I was worried it wouldn’t though. The scars round my ears are invisible too.
I feel a lot fresher and looking less knackered makes me feel less knackered too. It has boosted my confidence no end.

@DameDoom oh brilliant! Thank you for replying. I’m glad that it has boosted your self confidence 😊I’m sold !

PerfidiousAlbion · 23/03/2023 06:27

I remember you posting back in 2020. You look bloody amazing now! Such good work. I'm currently looking at getting this done as I have the jowels of doom/loose neck too.
