Royal Style - I’m not qualified but you can’t cut me off when there’s a wedding dress to look at...

If someone else has already started one of these please direct me over. I’m not qualified to be the OP of these wonderful threads... but I typed the below and I will be heard Grin Wink

Neither the dress nor the tiara are my personal favourites.

But bloody hell it’s got class.

Granny’s dress and tiara turn it from ‘shameful secret wedding because daddy can’t be seen in public anymore’ to ‘intimate family occasion fully supported and loved by Grandmother, The Queen’. I think it’s a huge showing of support from the Queen to her granddaughter and that’s lovely.

That's a really sweet picture. The children are cute, especially Louis!

Gooseysgirl · 26/09/2020 23:19

Charlotte looks v excited to meet him! My daughter adored DA at that age (still does at 8yo)and did a school homework project about him. Louis isn't old enough yet to escape the shorts and long socks look... but he does look very cute 🥰

itswinetime · 26/09/2020 23:58

Very cute pictures definitely a very vintage/traditional theme with all the outfits

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 27/09/2020 00:48

Charlotte has shot up in height.
I think the children are going to be tall adults.

StartupRepair · 27/09/2020 00:58

Happy to find this thread again. Love the blue Cambridge theme.

Royalinsider · 27/09/2020 11:45

DOC in a Massimo Dutti 'two tone print' skirt

frugalkitty · 27/09/2020 12:30

I liked the pics of the Cambridges and DA too, apart from Charlotte's shoes which don't seem to fit the styling of everyone else. I did think looking at them as a family that I don't think they'll have any more babies.

Wrong seats guys!

Kate wore a denim dress by Gabriela Hirst (Marley dress, £1295)

That's a great picture of George and Louis looking at the fossil! I like Kate's dress, it's something Meghan would look good in, too.

AppleKatie · 27/09/2020 13:30

that’s brilliant that they just sat in the wrong seats 😆

Charlottes shoes look like the nanny had a panic when she realised her occasion and blue theme appropriate shoes were now a size too small!

They often do the blue theming and it suits them all. Kids look happy.

They do, don't they?

MotherofPearl · 27/09/2020 14:03

Lovely pictures of Kate, William and the children. I agree they all suit blue.

megletthesecond · 27/09/2020 16:32

I like their blue theme. Why waste energy choosing a look for public photos when you can stick to one colour.

Royalinsider · 27/09/2020 16:51

The only 'negative' with the theme is that it risks the photos looking too similar and so a new one doesn't look so new.

(Although the children are always growing and they have sun lightened hair here).

banivani · 27/09/2020 20:38

Twelvehundredandninetyfive pounds 😳😳😳😳

Gooseysgirl · 27/09/2020 21:50

WTF!!! I wouldn't pay £12.95 for it Hmm

LadyEloise · 27/09/2020 23:41

@banivani I thought the same. A denim dress !!! Shock

AdaColeman · 28/09/2020 01:16

You could run Kate’s dress up in a couple of hours, pity she doesn’t sew!

banivani · 28/09/2020 08:09

I think it's a lovely dress, mind! But it's cotton and silk and could bloody well be washed in a machine (dry clean only my hole). I don't really see what warrants over 13000 SEK. That's more than my monthly rent!

Perhaps this is what clothes really should cost tbf, to remind us of the resources that are used etc. Assuming everyone in the chain gets paid well etc.

frugalkitty · 28/09/2020 08:47

Well if that's what clothes should really cost, I'll be over here wrapped in a towel! Grin

Horsemad · 28/09/2020 09:42

That's pretty outrageous price for an ordinary dress imo. 😮 People are just on the make. Always.

Haha!

She does have a seamstress though and someone to adjust non made to measure clothing

Gooseysgirl · 28/09/2020 19:45

Honestly I thought it was going to turn out to be in inexpensive M&S number!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/09/2020 19:59

Me too Goosey

Going back to Kate's secret dressmaker, maybe she borrows Angela.
