Just wanted to give you all a heads up. They are UNREAL. Use them after soaking in a bath and you get sooooo much great dead skin come off, you can see it all in the bottom of the bath afterwards! especially great for places you don't usually exfoliate like bum/ back of legs/ back. 4.99 on amazon, highly recommended!

Did you wet them?

You’re not meant to. So you get in the bath, soaky soaks and then use it. It’s meant to be used dry on wet skin. (:

Buggedandconfused · 06/07/2020 23:31

I used one for the first time, it was great! Agree it makes the skin uber soft! I didn’t get rolls of skin but the bath water was very scummy & I didn’t use soap. Very satisfying and nothing has ever come close to making my skin so soft and smooth.

ageingdisgracefully · 07/07/2020 08:47

I must be doing it wrong. Nothing came off my body.

I've used it on my face though and it's strangely satisfying. Smooth as baby's bum this morning.

MrDarcysMa · 07/07/2020 21:57

@ageingdisgracefullydid you soak first? and use it without soap? Perhaps you're not a lizard like me - I shed loads.... is that why I'm overweight? Grin

@IDidntChoseThePondLife you'll have to zoom in but here's a bad photo of the bottom of my bath I'll try and get close up one next time

You’re not meant to wet it..

It works better when it’s dry and you’re wet. And you can see what comes off easier too. (:

AnneLovesGilbert · 07/07/2020 22:07

You talked me into it and I got a shocking amount off the top of my feet. I use the ever impressive Newton’s foot sponge on my horrible heels but never think to exfoliate the tops with anything.

Most satisfying after feet were shins and arse. Love them, thank you.

MrDarcysMa · 07/07/2020 22:10

@bodgedboxdry but..... doesn't it just get wet when you're using it on wet skin though? I get loads off by using it wet as long as I've soaked well.

OP posts:
Bodgedboxdye · 07/07/2020 22:17

Not unless you submerge it.

I tend to sit on the edge of the bath when I’m doing bum and legs, so it doesn’t really get wet.

I have used it when it’s fully wet but I don’t get to see what’s come off, If anything. /:

IDidntChoseThePondLife · 07/07/2020 22:21

Thank you @MrDarcysMa I get what people mean by rolls now. What do people mean by sheets of skin? I am imagining a wallpaper-type scenario.
I actually had a moisturiser that did that to my skin, as I massaged it in, lots of rolls of skin came off. I wonder what it was (?)
Thanks again!

AnneLovesGilbert · 07/07/2020 22:25

You might find tend skin helpful on ingrown leg hairs

@evilharpy

I epilate my bikini line and got terrible bumps but that sorted them nicely.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 08/07/2020 07:31

Was it perhaps that body shop thing in a green tube, drops of life or some such? That used to roll up

I've just bought these from Amazon and they were £7.34 not £4.99, couldn't find any at that price.

Turns out this is correct. Tried to keep the cloth dry this time and double the amount of dry skin came off. I soaked then stood up and patted dry with a towel then scrubbed. Had to rinse off with shower head after, no way was I getting back in that water full of floaters. Pic attached.

I'm actually stunned at the amount of dead skin I had, considering I exfoliate regularly anyway.
You'd think I'd never done it for 100 years!

Dry cloth all the way now !

MrsPhyllisTyne · 09/07/2020 09:14

I used mine for the first time last night with the cloth damp and OMG, the amount of skin that came off! Going to have another g with the cloth dry after reading the updates Smile

Disfordarkchocolate · 09/07/2020 09:19

I'm not sure I dare try it with a dry cloth now.

SecondTimeCharm · 09/07/2020 09:19

So my first go was a bit of a dud because I’d already popped the last half of a bubble bar in before I realised you were supposed to soak with no soap Blush but I tried it again properly last night and... Wow

Will be a lifelong Korean Towel enthusiast now, have already got my friend to try too!
