Just wanted to give you all a heads up. They are UNREAL. Use them after soaking in a bath and you get sooooo much great dead skin come off, you can see it all in the bottom of the bath afterwards! especially great for places you don't usually exfoliate like bum/ back of legs/ back. 4.99 on amazon, highly recommended!

Ok, I've ordered, this had better be good Grin

WARNING! I used one last summer on my entire body and I was delighted by my smoothness. However, I spent time in the sun the next day (no more than usual, and with my usual SPF) and I got horribly sunburnt. I think the newly exposed softer skin couldn’t take the sunshine. Just wanted to warn everyone!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 02/07/2020 16:17

I bought a set of 6 off e bay, came in a couple of days and were about £5, my skin feels so smooth. I pop my hand in the cloth and after washing my hair in the shower I step out of the water and scrub, rinse then wash with black african soap. after drying I spray on my aveeno body moisturiser and cant stop stroking my skin.

Yummyoldbag · 02/07/2020 16:29

I have the scrubby nylon glove things, similar to Body Shop but cheapies from Superdrug I think. Are the cloths significantly better?

GrumpyHoonMain · 02/07/2020 16:33

They need korean strength SPF too (at least SPF 70+) as they take off a lot of skin.

QuestionableMouse · 02/07/2020 17:32

Mine arrived today. Can't wait to get in the shower and try them.

Not too worried about the sun because I keep covered up.

TightPants · 02/07/2020 19:03

Just be aware that the green ones shrink to the size of a postage stamp making them very hard to use Hmm

FaintlyMacabre · 02/07/2020 19:14

Got some today and then spotted this thread! Have moderate KP and dryish skin. Looking forward to using them.
Does anyone know if they’re ok for children? DD (7) has really rough dry skin and KP everywhere- wondering if these would help or be too rough for her? I have green and pink ones.

purpledagger · 02/07/2020 19:58

I've just reused mine and I feel like I lost a couple of lbs in weight. You could see it in the bath water. OH did my back and said there was loads on there.

I soaked in the bath for about 20 minutes, then I wet the towel and wring it out and got to work.

purpledagger · 02/07/2020 20:01

Faintly I used my green one on DD7, but that's only because she saw me using mine and wanted to try. I believe the pink ones are the least abrasive so you could try that one.

FaintlyMacabre · 02/07/2020 20:42

Thanks, I just had a go on me and my skin is smoother but still some KP there.

The cloths are quite abrasive but I’m sure DD will tell me to stop if it hurts- I don’t think I could actually damage her with them. I’ll give the pink one a try next bath time.

titnomatani · 02/07/2020 20:51

Can someone post a link to the best ones on amazon please? There are too many when I search for them and I'm not sure which ones to go for :(

Also, are these like the Moroccan scrub mitts?

SecondTimeCharm · 02/07/2020 21:13

Well as soon as I saw this thread I ordered some and they arrived today Grin soaking in the bath as I type! Most excited to try them out

ChessIsASport · 02/07/2020 21:38

I bought these a couple of years ago (last time Mumsnet went crazy for them) and the best advice I came across was after you’ve soaked in the bath. Pat yourself a bit dry but not completely dry and then use the cloths in a circular motion.

lotusbell · 02/07/2020 22:31

I'm.under the impression you need to have a good soak in the bath first to soften your skin and showers won't really do the trick?
I've got the tiny green ones bit never used them.properly due to only having a shower.

Abitouting · 03/07/2020 12:18

Thanks OP for the recommendation!

I ordered the green ones that were linked on the first page. I soaked for 20 mins and then stood up and got to work. Loads came off on my arms!!

itakephotos · 03/07/2020 16:45

Are you meant to wet the mit before scrubbing or keep dry?
Mine arrived yesterday so will try tonight!

IHaveBrilloHair · 03/07/2020 16:47

I was wondering about these too but only have a shower so guessing they wont work?

styleseeker72 · 03/07/2020 17:06

Mine arrived! I've never been so excited to have a bath before.

Italianmeringuebuttercream · 03/07/2020 17:46

Just ordered! I'm planning a good soak in magnesium salts as pp suggested then have a good scrub!

August1980 · 03/07/2020 17:48

I just ordered this! Thanks ladies for the recommendation

MrDarcysMa · 03/07/2020 18:04

I’ve just realised I disabled email alerts last month! I’m delighted how this thread has progressed Grin
Hopefully all the questions have been answered. Yes they are small but they stretch when wet.
I get better results without soap or shower gel but when soaked for a while first.
I’m sure you can get things made out of the same material but it’s very different to the gloves from Superdrug or wherever, much thinner fabric.
I exfoliate my arms a lot due to KP but if I do my arse/ torso as I don’t exfoliate them much a disgusting amount of grey sludgy skin comes off! And I can’t stop feeling my bum too. It’s ridiculous 😂

MrDarcysMa · 03/07/2020 18:06

Also it won’t get rid of KP that quickly; I’ve still got it a bit but it’s definitely reduced LOADS since using the cloths and ameliorate combined. I was too embarrassed about it to wear short sleeves last summer.

roarfeckingroar · 03/07/2020 19:30

What's KP?
