Boob size - proportion? (pic)

Have nc'd as this is quite outing.

Have had a Zoom consultation with a surgeon for my breast augmentation. It's something I've wanted for a loooooooong time, as my breasts have never been in proportion with my (ample) lower body. After breastfeeding for so long my A cups are like little empty socks Sad

I just wondered if this kind of size is in proportion with my body? It's hard for me to be objective and I don't have any female friends to ask. I've only done it with rice in the feet of tights so it's not perfect science, just wanted an idea of implant size v body size. Thank you Grin

I am a 32 GG I would prefer your lovely athletic looking figure as it is now. Don't underestimate how hard it can be to dress for larger boobs. Lots of nice clothes make a larger bust look matronly and the bottom half look larger.

PickAChew · 26/06/2020 23:23

It must have been said already but no wY are your natural boobs an A cup. I measured dh by the boob or bust method, once, and he was 34C. A cup implies that there is only a 1"difference between your bust and your ribcage.

Vaunting · 26/06/2020 23:25

That’s interesting Chubby, I didn’t know that.

IncrediblySadToo · 26/06/2020 23:29

You have a lovely figure as it is. I agree with those saying a bra intervention would probably give you what you're looking for dressed, but obviously not naked.

As one 'ample of bosom', it's easy to say, I wouldn't get implants, but as I'm getting older some tightening/uplifting would be go good 🤣

Your rice boobs actually look quite natural! But a little large IMO. They are an attention seeking size and I sense that's not really what you're after?!

Good luck whatever you decide.

whywhywhy6 · 26/06/2020 23:30

I’ll be honest - I think you look great without the rice boobs. You need inner confidence.

Solasum · 26/06/2020 23:40

When did you stop breastfeeding? My boobs felt very soft and empty once I stopped, but after about a year I realised they were back to normal again. Might be worth waiting a bit if it is quite recent?

Castoreum · 26/06/2020 23:48

I have had small breasts and medium to large breasts and I would now take the small ones any day of the week as larger is a pain in the arse and so much harder to look stylish and slim.

For context, am 51, had v small breasts all my life until pregnancy.

Veterinari · 26/06/2020 23:51

I would also urge caution that larger breasts are harder to dress and look matronly as you age

DamnYankee · 26/06/2020 23:51

Your "lower half" is trim and shapely. You're a woman, not a boy Smile. And your abs - are fab!
No "whopping norks" allowed. I think your "mock up knockers" look fabulous!

Good luck!

Notredamn · 27/06/2020 03:11

I prefer your 'before' although I know that wasn't the question.

If you go for the enlargement, definitely don't go any bigger than the rice boobs photo. They're on the larger side and if you do want to be 'in proportion', you risk the opposite effect.

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/06/2020 06:56

Agree with pp saying cup size means nothing without back size, and also that you are not an A cup. With a 27" waist you're probably no more than a 30 back size when in a properly fitting bra. On smaller back sizes, even larger sounding cups are relatively small in reality.

Not saying that to put you off, but more to highlight that especially once you've recovered from surgery it's really important to go and get a proper fitting somewhere like Bravissimo. Don't be shocked if you end up with a scary sounding cup size - a 30F for example means an underbust of 30, overbust of 37 which isn't crazy huge at all and would still be smaller than your hip measurement so be totally fine proportions wise. Lots of people (including surgeons) don't properly understand bra sizing.

lovelilies · 27/06/2020 08:12

Hi. Just thought I'd give you my experience, I'm small chested (empty A cups after BF).
Had an augmentation in 2006 with 350CC cups and never liked them. They looked fake. I was a 32 C/D but they felt awful. Closet he's looked OK but I felt 'big' on top after being used to being slight. While pregnant and BF my boobs were a 34 C so I thought I'd like it.
Anyway, along came the PIP trouble and I managed to get them removed on NHS due to the risk of the non medical grade silicone leaking.
My boobs are flat. But they fed 3 kids and they're healthy, and I'm happy with them 🥰

TableNiner · 27/06/2020 08:49

Expect to spend a lot more on bras especially if you end up with a size not always catered for in normal shops and especially if you don’t even always wear one at the moment!

ShowOfHands · 27/06/2020 09:12

My 13yo dd wears a 28DD and has the figure you'd expect of a skinny 13yo. She has significantly smaller boobs than the op. I wear a 30E or a 28F and have similar boobs to the op.

Cup size really does mean nothing.

Norkage · 27/06/2020 09:13

@Vaunting

My train of thought wandered sorry...I was thinking your actual breasts are very much like Mariannes and she always looks great in the bedroom scenes. This is the weirdest conversation...Grin

No I haven't seen Normal People. Quite curious now though...!

I stopped BFing 2.5 years ago so doubt they'll change much now Sad

@norkage
It's so difficult to make the decision about size. I did think I'd regret it if I didn't go massive. But now I kind of wish I'd gone for 350s instead of 390s. But it could be because I've put on weight and I'm pregnant again. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I did like them to start with.

They are very heavy at the moment and I do struggle with bras. I look at my old ones (my daughter has them) and feel sad but I have to remember I hated them before too 😂

I guess some of us are never happy with how we look. But my partner loves them!

I'm looking forward to getting this baby out and losing 2 stone. No doubt I'll want a tummy tuck after that .......

Piggyhoolier · 27/06/2020 09:26

This thread is such an example of how as women we all judge ourselves so harshly versus what the reality is - OP is incredibly self conscious about her breasts and it’s impacting her mental health. Everyone else sees her as having a cracking figure all over, including the boob department.

OP you look great, genuinely great. Even the troll-iest troll couldn’t say otherwise. But if you need to upsize you’re boobs for your own mental wellbeing then those rice boobs suit you too. Good luck whatever you decide.

puzzledpiece · 27/06/2020 09:37

C if you want to be naturally nicely shaped. D cup if you want the more booby look. E if you want comedy breasts.

chubbyhotchoc · 27/06/2020 09:42

@puzzledpiece E cups are nowhere near comedy breasts. What a shitty thing to say. You clearly have no idea about women's bodies and definitely no idea about implants. As I said up thread mine are far bigger and are very modest looking

HildegardeCrowe · 27/06/2020 09:42

I’m a 32FF and would love an upper half like yours. Large boobs are a curse - I have shoulder grooves, intertrigo underneath and clothes look awful because I’m so top heavy (slim everywhere else). You’re young and with age everything will sag if you go bigger. I think you have a wonderful natural figure and are not bottom-heavy at all.

dementedpixie · 27/06/2020 09:44

You can't say to go to a C cup if we don't know her accurate cup size to start with. She may already have bigger breasts than that (and I suspect she is larger than an A). E cup breasts are not comedy breasts and an E cup on a 30 back is much smaller than an E cup on a 36 back

ShowOfHands · 27/06/2020 09:49

@puzzledpiece

I have E cup boobs. They're tiny. I don't even need a bra most of the time.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 27/06/2020 09:50

As someone who has the opposite issue until I had a reduction I think you need to think about clothes fitting you nicely.

From the pictures I can see that you are a very slim build. I was always a slim build even though I had large boobs and trying to get a dress or shirt to button up and yet still be nice and fitted everywhere else was a nightmare.

I'd suggest trying a fitted shirt or blouse or a formal dress and see if they fit right before deciding.

My gut feeling is that they are slightly too big for your frame.
