Hello all. I’ve been lurking on this thread and have now bought a few things from Toast based on the Toast appreciation I’ve seen. I’ve been really pleased, the quality is lovely.

Can someone help with the Anokhi Voile shirt please? I’ve seen a comment in the reviews mentioning how they were disappointed by blotchiness in the fabric background after washing and wished they’d known about that before buying. Do they mean it fades after washing, why would it go blotchy? The Toast response doesn’t really address the washing issue.

I really like it but am now not sure about ordering.

I’ve got this in pink. It has faded a bit but I wouldn’t say it’s gone blotchy - just a washed out look. I like it, but I would wash before wearing - it did ruin a white bra the first time I wore it.

@Moominmammaatsea - thank you! I think I tried even earlier than that this morning, and there was more available, but the trousers I'm stalking remained unachievable. There must be people who make a living buying it all up and sticking it on eBay. Years ago Toast did online archive sales and it was the same - all gone in minutes, and then all on eBay the next day

@Yorkshirelass04 I like the little navy Kate Sheridan bag, the spotty socks(anyone have a thing for Toast socks? I have 2 pairs and they are the best ever) the Cotten linen trousers but annoyingly can’t see a picture on a person (not that I will be anything like that person but still...), the orange T-shirt and the blue leaf print skirt. Nice to see more blue.
Also a few bits they have dragged up from somewhere in reduced. Can’t buy anything. I caved in and bought the brogues last night and a wrap cardigan that was never going to go down anymore as both will go into my winter wardrobe.

@faustina, ah, the halcyon days of the archive sales. Literally, things would be vanishing from your basket before your eyes! I think those sales were designed to appeal to our hunter-gatherer instincts.

I’ve discovered that there is a sweet spot between 6.30am and 7am on the JL site where they’ve uploaded the sale returns and then you need to be patient for everything to go fully live so you can add items to your basket. You need to keep refreshing and will get lots of error/out of stock messages and then, suddenly, you can checkout! Hi

Just nabbed a Zoya dress to try.

My gingham pyjamas arrived ( a return obviously) definitely keeping , they are winter ones though as thick cotton but are usual Toast Fabness

Some nice new stuff but ive bought enough.. I will probably reorder the raffia bag if it reduces, further but tbh not that worried if it doesn't

The Uniqlo dress has just arrived. It’s definitely a nightie on me! There’s no way I’d leave the house in it, I’m just not stylish enough for it to work as a dress.

Is it very see through? I’m sure it could be made to work, don’t be too hard on yourself. OTOH, at the sale price, it wasn’t over priced for a nightie either. I have Uniqlo trousers arriving today - I do like playing roulette with Uniqlo trousers, it’s my biggest excitement these days. I have size S to XXL in my wardrobe. And they all fit.

Ikat skirt arrived in at 8. It’s from Toast so still £95 a bit ouch. The 10 was too big but the 8 is very slightly snug around the waist, I don’t like feeling constructed. I absolutely love it so I may see if I can have the back pleats very slightly taken out.

Whistles barrel leg jeans arrived but whilst I do like them and they’re nice with flip flops I can’t see how I’ll get them to work with boots in the winter. I think I’m better with cropped straight.

Well I dithered too long and the Riya dress has sold out (again). I don't know if it would have looked ok on me anyway. So I've ordered the Ume dress in steel. Fingers crossed.

I don’t like anything tight on the waist either, especially in summer. Comfort is top priority, that’s why I buy Toast.

Sit for ten mins in the skirt and see how you feel before making any irreversible changes.
