@happytobemrsg I think they look great on you. I guess the most important thing, though, is how do you feel in them? Smile

Hairydogmummy · 16/04/2020 16:26

What do you guys think of this denim dress? Just arrived from Sosandar. Was hoping to wear it dressed up and down but not sure the cut of the skirt works with flats. Also hate my wide shoulders so worried it's not sitting right on the top either. And I wish my boobs were bigger...think it would look better.

@Hairydogmummy I love it! Simple, chic, fabulous

toastfiend · 16/04/2020 17:18

@Hairydogmummy I absolutely love it! Echo everything that @sooverthemill said. Smile

PalacePaper · 16/04/2020 17:41

@Hairydogmummy I think it looks great!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 16/04/2020 19:01

happytobemrsg I think those trousers look like they are a bit big for you?

hairydogmummy the dress looks great. Just as a word of caution, though, I had a very similar one a few years ago, and found it to be a bad buy. It didn’t work with opaque tights, and if it was warm enough for bare legs, it was too warm for the sleeves. Mine was a lovely Oliver Bonas one, and I ended up selling it on eBay.

PalacePaper · 16/04/2020 20:14

Didn't really get dressed today - but am about to take part in a virtual pub quiz so have put a nicer top on with my joggers 😂

@Happytobemrsg sorry I didn't see your trousers before - they look like a great style, but I agree with @Judystilldreamsofhorses they may be a bit too big for you?

happytobemrsg · 16/04/2020 20:37

Hmmmmm yes I’m wondering if they are a bit big. They are also not the colour I thought - I was expecting a white/blue stripe but it’s a very dark cream. I can’t return them yet so I have time to decide whether to try a smaller size or just forget them. My dungarees are arriving tomorrow

Thanks everyone! Yes that did occur to me @Judystilldreamsofhorses I feel like I could maybe end up either cold or sweaty! Tights wouldn't work, and it's not like you could wear a jacket or anything. I thought maybe a longline vest underneath.

TheOnlyMrsW · 17/04/2020 09:33

Have been following you all for ages but not brave enough to do pics of my (seemingly endless!) rotation of FatFace dresses!! Delurking to say I ordered the FatFace trousers which @Ellapaella had on the last thread and they are soooooo comfy Smile. I'd never have looked at them otherwise!!!

toastfiend · 17/04/2020 09:38

Having been initially unsure of these dungas, I'm getting lots of wear out of them now. They're brightening up a dull, grey, cold day here today.

Dungas - Lucy & Yak
Belt - Lucy & Yak
Top - Mango, bought it about 6 years ago and have never worn it, but didn't want to get rid of it. Glad I didn't, now, as I actually really like it. Smile

Welcome @TheOnlyMrsW! Post pics when you feel ready but you can crop out your face. We’re all lovely so no judgement here!

Are you wearing a belt with your dungarees @toastfiend? I hadn’t thought of that. Though I don’t think mine have belt loops.

Lovely sunny day here, just a bit chilly.

T-shirt- H&M
Jeans- New Look
Cardigan- Oliver Bonas

It's cold and rainy here today!

Jumper - FatFace via Lookiero
Jeans - Lookiero (not very flattering but super stretchy and comfy!)

Not planning on going out so no shoes!

toastfiend · 17/04/2020 10:53

I am @happytobemrsg. No belt loops on my dungas, but it seems to stay in place quite well anyway. Smile These dungas are very baggy on me without, so I thought I'd test giving them a bit more shape!

happytobemrsg · 17/04/2020 11:24

No photos because I was showing my mum on FaceTime but my light blue dungarees have arrived from L&Y & I’m in love!!!!!

Here goes then!!!! Trousers from FatFace, top from George and sneakers are Ash. I've struggled with the sneakers before as they were tight around the ankles and didn't zip up properly but have lost nearly a stone since Jan with 2 more to go Blush. Excuse the mess, the only decent mirror in the house belongs to 14yr old DD and I'm refusing to tidy it!!!!!

Finding WFH more tiring than being in the office! Channelling my inner hippy chick, aka digging-out-loungewear-I-forgot-I-Had... Top is an old Marks one I dyed black, with Asos leggings - so comfy! Hope everyone is staying safe

@TheOnlyMrsW welcome and good outfit. I like the trainers.
@Uhtredswoman you asked bout the hush jeans. I'm rubbish at body shapes I'm afraid I don't really understand them. The jeans are straight and slightly loose fitting on me (5'1 and 8 st 13 and an 8 bottom, I think at the top end of an 8 at the moment but usually half a stone lighter but I've been ill and eating too many treats!) They aren't as loose as on local, I think she has a size too big on her but they are in no way tight in the hips. High waisted ( which I prefer). Their return policy is generous at the moment if you can order and not mind waiting for money back until you can get to a PO. I do love them and would wear most days if I didn't have 2 dirty dogs and 3 even dirtier cats! I read that to preserve white denim you should only wash after 5 wears. That must be people who live in a bubble

It's cold today
Jumper: pure collection ( end of season sale last year)
Jeans: gap
Trainers: air and grace

Sooverthemill · 17/04/2020 11:51

Ooh and for those who were kind when I was worried earlier in the week, my DD has now been put in shielded group by GP surgery and they've said sorry for not getting to her quicker. They are overwhelmed.

happytobemrsg · 17/04/2020 11:55

Great trainers @TheOnlyMrsW I’ve got what I think are the perfect white trainers but they hurt my little toe. Thinking it might be worth while trying to break them in around the house.

happytobemrsg · 17/04/2020 11:58

Oh I’m so glad @Sooverthemill. That must be a weight off. Love your A&G trainers. Are they comfy?

OP posts:
happytobemrsg · 17/04/2020 12:01

@toastfiend I’m already planning to get the Atlas denim dungarees in the darker blue for Autumn because the light blue ones are so great. I’ve been a bit hesitant about denim dungarees & boilersuits because denim can be so thick. But these are so soft & comfy

PalacePaper · 17/04/2020 12:01

Welcome @TheOnlyMrsW Smile Fabulous trainers!!

@happytobemrsg I'm glad you're pleased with your dungarees. I'm eagerly awaiting my sweaty Betty parcel (inspired by @itssquidstella) and really hoping they fit🤞🏻

Today I'm up and dressed which is an improvement on yesterday Grin I've dug out an old Boden top which I haven't work for ages, and M&S jeans.

@Sooverthemill so pleased to hear this, must be a huge weight off your mind.

@happytobemrsg they're the best, aren't they?! My otter dungas are the light wash Atlas and I adore them. So, so soft and comfy.

happytobemrsg · 17/04/2020 12:55

So glad we are keeping this thread going during lockdown. I’m still enjoying picking what I’m wearing each day & the sense of normality that brings is really helping me
