Now that the Commonwealth event is nearly over, we have another treat ahead of us. Maxima in Indonesia!

In light of what happened on the previous thread, I'm going to take a leaf out of Elizabeth SMT Holmes' book and say critique the clothes and the styling but not the physical appearances of various royal women.

If, like me, you love a tiara, look up the Anglesey Tiara which is coming up for auction in the Netherlands shortly.
It was owned by Henry Cyril Paget, the fifth Marquess of Anglesey, known as The Dancing Marquess, who inherited the title and 60 million (in today’s values) fortune in 1898.
In just over five years he was declared bankrupt, having squandered the vast fortune on, amongst other things, cars and jewels, once buying the entire stock of a Parisian jeweller.
The Anglesey Tiara was retained by the family, and later worn to the coronation of HM.

What a spendthrift he was, meanwhile those living on his estate probanly had miserable lives materially but were probably much happier.

I am very distantly related to the Anglesey/Uxbridge family. What a stunner of a tiara.

At Plas Newydd on Anglesey, there's a room dedicated to the spendthrift Marquess. He was certainly quite a character!

I prefer the model's trousers with the jacket - CPV's are far too distracting. But she does look very happy in the pictures, and I like the Ralph Lauren ankle boots.

Given the latest news about the coronavirus and the rumoured self-isolation for over-70s, would that mean HM and Charles and Camilla will disappear for a few months?

I think the whole of the Royal Family will, not just the over 70s. I doubt we will see much of William and Kate, being direct in line to the throne.

Lucky for them that they've got plenty of houses in which to self-isolate!

Charles & Camilla have already cancelled their overseas trips that were due this week so I think we will see less of them definitely. Difficult times ahead.

Slim pickings this week but here's Mathilde matching her earrings to her skirt (has she borrowed Queen Beatrix's hairspray?) and a new photo of CPV and familiy. Estelle remains a gem.

With the dearth of new pics. we may need to delve into the past for pics of which there are many.

Apparently kate and kids were at local Sainsbury's on weekend. According to twitter of that woman who gave charlotte the doll at Christmas. She's a local. No photos.

Queen will definitely be incommunicado. And suspect Camilla too. Charles might turn up occasionally. The rest will carry on up to a point I suspect. But will depend on government guidelines. Once large gatherings are banned, that will change.

Oh my eyes!!! It's great from the waist up but the trousers are an abomination 🙈

Just read that Met Gala is postponed. We won't see Meghans Met Look. We're going to be starved for frocks & rocks for the next while...

In other news, Idris Elba has tested positive for Covid-19. Hope he recovers well...Here's Kate meeting him at a premiere. This is one of my favourite frocks... Great dress, bad hair...

The Grand National is cancelled too and I suppose Ascot hangs in the balance.

Idris isn't showing symptoms yet, it will be interesting to see if he shows any at all, he's the only person I've heard of so far to have tested positive but have no symptoms.

Why was he tested I wonder?
