Previous thread

What will tomorrow bring for Kate? Does her love for green know no end?

And Thursday night sees the return of Meghan! I know she can be polarising so let's stick to just discussing her clothes rather than the intricacies of Megxit. There's plenty of other threads to do that!

i have cankles, There's no hiding them. I love ankle strap shoes. Don't care Grin

itswinetime · 04/03/2020 16:17

This afternoon's jacket is this one although seriously I think it's time for an intervention..Kate you have a problem but we are here for you.

The shirt has been identified on Twitter as this one by Burberry and the boots are her well worn Penelope chillers

That shirt is hideous. Why does she drown herself in ruffles, frills and pussy bows. It's like something Mrs Slocombe would wear

thisenglishlife · 04/03/2020 16:27

Dubarry is Irish, so it's a nod.
I don't like the Alexa shirt, too twee for me.

We've never seen Kate with a dark manicure, but she has rocked a dark pedicure (looks good for a evening look).

I have no idea I can't wait for the pussy bow overly frill trend to be over. There are so few people who can pull them off in my opinion they either drown the smaller body types like Kate or are way to much If you are bigger busted at least I have yet to find one that works. That is a particularly unflattering example though.

itswinetime · 04/03/2020 16:32

I get the jacket is her Irish nod on this outfit I just would have rather she picked on of their jackets that Isn't almost exactly like her other brown outdoors jackets.

KitMarlowesCodpieceOfThigh · 04/03/2020 16:40

Ohhh, that green dress from yesterday (day). Looks like the sort of thing my grandmother used to buy from the market in the 1980s. She loved a pussy bow, too.

BoucleEponine · 04/03/2020 16:53

There's been virtually no buzz here in Ireland about this visit. Nobody talking about it. People literally don't care. Oh well

Thus chap looks excited!

BoucleEponine · 04/03/2020 16:54

I don't understand all the Leti love on here. To me she always looks very brittle.

PelicanPie · 04/03/2020 16:56

Kate does seem to like those conical bras. I think the outline of the bra under the dress looks strange and not very flattering. I don't like the dress either I'm afraid.

justasking111 · 04/03/2020 17:03

That shooting shirt is so naff..... a poor trendy version of the original tattersall shirt.

beanaseireann · 04/03/2020 17:13

If I were free I'd go and try to see them but with dc, work, covid19 etc I just haven't the time to spare

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/03/2020 17:54

Looks like the Daily Mail rumour about Meghan attending the Met Gala was just that, a rumour. Shame, as the Met is a better night for frock watchers than the Oscars!

OP posts:
eggandonion · 04/03/2020 17:58

We had a short discussion about the visit when I was at the hairdressers, but if they aren't in Cork there is less excitement in Cork. Would I go to see them? Dunno, the previous president waved at me once when I was standing outside work watching the mercs. And I saw the queen once when I was working in England and she was having lunch opposite.

NoGravyForYou · 04/03/2020 18:57

Camilla out in navy and her trusty black boots today!

Royal style: the Duel of the Duchesses
justasking111 · 04/03/2020 19:02

I have trusty boots, liked them so much bought an identical pair Blush

Rhubarbisevil · 04/03/2020 19:03

Camilla looks fab there. Where has she been?

Spudlet · 04/03/2020 19:05

Oh, that’s a shame about the Met. I suppose it would have been controversial (everything they do seems to be at the moment). Maybe in a future year...?

Everyone should have some trusty boots, imo!

mistermagpie · 04/03/2020 19:09

Camilla looks lovely and tanned there.

The boots are annoying but what colour can you wear with navy? I don't like navy boots, maybe tan? Or oxblood or something? I always think coloured long boots look a bit odd but long boots are obviously practical and warm...

NoGravyForYou · 04/03/2020 19:11

Her and Charles were at the London Transport Museum. I love her brooches.

mathanxiety · 04/03/2020 19:55

I’m also finding all the In-Ireland-must-wear-green extremely twee
May I join you?

The ruffles, frills and pussy bows are very on trend. I can see how KM would find them appropriate for the interactions and outings that are her job - they are on trend, conservative, and feminine.

Agree Letizia looks 'brittle'.
And I feel also as if a puff of wind might blow her away.

I didn't like the Dubarry jacket on her. It puffed out from the waist. Something that fits her more closely around the hips would have looked a lot nicer. (Her khaki green Dubarry tweed jacket with off centre buttons looks far nicer on her because it's a more snug fit around the hips, and shorter.)

My mum is very torn between trying to see them out and about in Dublin and staying home to avoid the corona virus.

itswinetime · 04/03/2020 19:58

William and Kate are out tonight...I wasn't expecting that Kate is in a vintage osca de la renta

I like the colour on her and she has added a belt as suggested by someone on here I don't love the collar but I think this might be my favourite look of the tour so far.

I like the hair too

Charles and Camilla we're promoting London's first all electric bus I believe they took it from Clarence House to the transport museum

mistermagpie · 04/03/2020 20:06

Another fussy neckline from Kate then! But I do like the colour on her, it's a bit different for her actually, that whole vintage look.

Her hair has been good on this trip.

Wetdogloveshubert · 04/03/2020 20:10

These may well be papped, but they're cheerful pictures of a walk at Howth Cliff. The boots' tassells I would find irritating to wear, and like @mathanxiety I dislike the flared jacket, but it is lovely to see them looking relaxed. There's other shots of them arm in arm, but they're more obviously pap shots.

It's surely a little obvious that the Met news was PR by their people? It's continued good press for them.

Thanks for the new thread, @QueenOfTheAndals Grin
